- Shymkent is the city in southern part of Kazakhstan and known to be the cheapest city in the country. It has also been an important part of once famous Silk Road. Most of the former trading glory has faded away, but you can still find some lively markets here. I decided that time to time everyone should just relax and enjoy a bit. And that’s exactly what I did. My money went pretty far in Shymkent and yours would too! :)

Very nice experiences, friendy people. Seems to be very nice around...
Thank you! It is like that :))
Thanks for visiting our country and my hometown :D.
And thank you for watching the video :)
What is warmest place in Kyrgyzstan to live? Do winters there get cold snowy long?
I grew up in this city. So awesome to see it again.
Very good city, want to visit it after this video
Great to hear! ;)
It is funny to see a German or Latvian wandering around in Shymkent. It is a place where you never see a German / Latvian.
Haha, you must see germans everywhere. Latvians are surely more rare 😂😎
Thank you! As always- interesting video! But I can't undersand the value of their currency...and then find that it is the chiepest city in Kazahstan
Yes, I don’t know if its true, but that’s what I red. 1eur is 475tenge. :)
Is the price that much different from Almaty?
It seems friendly all around...
Yes! Thanks for watching :)

I have not been there is winter, but would imagine that it gets very cold 😂👍
@@theruudy damn wanted to move to live closer to mountains and expected south of kazachstan to be warm
Looks like the best city in the world - there’s a ferris wheel, a big market and a train station to get out of the city 😂
Hah, yeah! Spot on. All you need in life 👍😂
Where did you learn Russian? Surely they don't still teach that in Latvian schools?
I am not that young you have to remember 😂 in my time they still thought at school, but mostly learned from “streets”, music and films 🙂
@TheRuudy Have you read 'Mātes Piens' by Nora Ikstena? If not, please do. Also available in English, but strangely, it is titled 'Soviet Milk'.
@@witlof5492 Why do you recommend to read it? 😂😅
@TheRuudy As a reminder of the recent past. Also, it is very well written. It should strike a chord with you, if you have Latvian blood.
Anyone wants Delhi to Kazakhstan ticket for 29-June-2023.

Hope you find someone who needs it! 👍
The local Kazakhs looks very much like the Native Americans
Interesting. Haven’t though about this comparison :)
Вам нужно лучше изучать историю, у нас очень похожий язык с племенем майя и ацтек
Can't understand why he said that you were from Africa?😁
Haha, I couldn’t understand that part also. But was something about ice 😂
This summer is the hottest summer......

Never trust anyone from Shymkent. 500 went to 5000.
Haha, yeah! I have heard that saying 😅
Also known by the taxes of Kazakhstan 😂
Haha, yeah 😂
