I was the first in Ontario to purchase the lx25 woodmiser sawmill.so I look at logs as millable crafting product that could live on for decades of enjoyment.i look at firewood differently then others.so not only do I provide firewood as you have done.the example and advise you forward I have heeded.im in 3 years now and sawmill 1.5 years. Still run both businesses as you.thanks for your example and inspiration.ive now retired to find myself overwhelmed in joy.and have a fast growing customer base.thankyou.

I figured it out and it would cost me more to heat with wood than with gas, at current prices . Fortunately I have a nephew with some forest land with a bunch of trees he wants to get rid of, so for the last few years I have been cutting down the trees and processing them myself , slice them up in 16" slices, load them on my trailer and haul them home where I split it and stack it. Very small operation, I work alone (75 years old now) I split with my 6 1/2 ton electric splitter in my back yard. Do about 6 cords each summer ,form the end of May to the middle of August. Most of the time is spent cleaning up the mess after dropping the tree in his mowed field, and hauling the debris away. Must be able to run the lawn mower when I am done, LOL I have much more time than I do money these days, so this works for me. When the price for a cord went up over $165 around here I had to stop buying it, a few years before that I had them drop off a Tri-axle load, now that lasted me a couple years, and took a couple weeks for me to cut and split it, I don't have room for that these days, I can store about 7 cords. Looking at the wood you have in this video, that would last me the rest of my life. LOL
Don't pay no mind to the haters, your doing a great job and your channel is great, I love this ole fashioned work, hard work, hard honest earned money. Not like driving a trailer and rubbing people. Wheeeew! Thumbs up my for. Saludos.

I used to do free deliveries under 10 miles too but between loading driving and unloading I’ll have like an hour into it and my time has to be worth something. My delivery fee for local customer’s now is $25. Used to stack for free too.

so your gonna buy a dozen loads of logs? i think i remember you saying that those truck loads are a grand a piece, if my math is correct that’s quite expensive, have you beat the pavement yet and try and work out a deal with any tree services, it’s a shame you have to buy your logs, biggest problem over here is telling the knucklehead tree service guys to beat it and stop dumping little scrap logs off, great video by the way that tony is a good pal sending you a care package.

I spend on average $1300-1400 a load and the wood is awesome no junk and I make more on my time buying wood than going to cut it.
