I met with Randy and his wife and a couple of the other folks in the community. Randy and I hopped in his side-by-side and he took me all over the mountain. I have a piece of property in mind, but I don’t know if it’s been sold yet but as soon as I get my house sold, I’m heading to Ark Haven and PJ is right it is beautiful up there and the people I met were very gracious. As a matter of fact, once the tour was done, we sat and relaxed in the cool evening air while one of the residents who is a resident garlic expert was showing us how to dry them properly. What an amazing day it was.

In fact a big snow storm came in and there was a deep freeze and we had busted pipes and we all jumped into work on that project! I was there 4 days. The property I wanted, well I didn't jump fast enough and another man bought it. But then he was not a good fit and has since left. Then there was some Talking again with Ken and Randy about me still getting that property, but my situation still wouldn't allow it. But it's a great place, and I'm glad you're going back! The idea of these intentional communities has always fascinated me. It's not for me at all, but I fully acknowledge the value they can bring to those it does work for. Even if someone doesn't quite meet the entry requirements, financially or otherwise, I would think it a wise idea to still at least make contact with communities like this. You never know what it might lead to. Even if a move like that couldn't happen immediately, I'd imagine getting a relationship started wouldn't hurt. I've done the buy rural property and start homesteading on my own thing. My experience has been that having helpful neighbors/friends would have made my journey 1000% easier. 3 acres in an intentional community may prove more valuable than 30 elsewhere for many people. I appreciate the info about Arkhaven that PJ has shared with us over the years. Contacting a place like this is real action someone can take to change the lives of their family. I hope fellow viewers recognize how valuable this recommendation from PJ could be to them.
I put boots on the ground there 3 or4 years back, in Feb.. Had a great field trip, loved the plan and the guys & gals I met there. still Live with deep regret that the trigger was not pulled on Exiting and building along with Randy and them Way back then,,, I reach out to check in with Randy every so often...So glad to hear an update from PJ on ArkHavn today... I was just on their web page today! What an odd syncrinicity.. lol..
I have so wanted to move there where I live in the country in Texas has gotten so built up and land has gotten so expensive, I would love 10 acres but the Lord told me stay where he put me, his will not my own but yeah I sure wish I could move there to be around other preppers like myself following our Lord and savior.

PJF....My wife and I bought a house in Ocala, Fl.... I've been in Tampa Florida since 02 and she has been here since "83.....We have both seen it grow and develop. We miss the orange groves and pastures on the outskirts of the city. (It takes 30 minutes just to go 5 miles down the road)....I'm confused, why are you advertising for people to move to the Ozarks? Hell, we are trying to get away from the congestion, traffic and people. I know Ocala isn't ideal, however it is less populated than Tampa....Why not keep it (the Ozarks) a secret? Ark Haven sounds amazing. I will see if it is affordable and if it is maybe my son will schedule a tour - I turned leadership over to him now that he is old enough for it. I am a home schooler, Christian, and have 8 kids. We are actually practicing Christians... lol... not just Christians in name only. :) My oldest son is super skilled at just about anything (construction, mechanics, welding, electricity, etc). We have been prepping in AZ, but sure would be nice to have community... although the Lord provides well for us, we are not rich. I will look on the site to see if they have price estimates. your family sounds like a good match for the community. expect around $10K for an acre of land.. the parcels are 5 acre or above...then your land development costs will vary depending upon your home vison.

But after meeting the guys there, and seeing the vision, and understanding the Community Gardens, the herds of animals, the Community Center for training and fellowship, all the fruit and nut trees, the hunting, the security plan, etc... it balances out. But ONLY if you can afford it to begin with! and therein lies the rub. The vision is to make it an Ark for God's people to flee to in times of trouble .. but right now, it requires people with skills desire AND Money to get the foundation set for that forthcoming eventuality..? I took a field trip from Middle Tennessee to check it out in February 2020, and really liked what I saw. Unfortunately the complications and responsibilities that I have in my life with handicapped and elderly family members, precluded me from making the move at the time. But living outside of God's will for your life has been miserable...! There is a rich guy building a compound right near me that consist of 30 foot high berms around the property 100 acres of woods, couple acres of farm land, an orchard, a moot and a conctrete structure in the middle of the moot with a bunker. The moot has 200 meters of cleared lamd around it. Cant wait to see what else he is doing.

The books are awesome. I thought the movie sucked. The setting for the book is in my state and that Homestead actually exists. It is in a built up area on a hill. Because rich people like to live higher than the rest of us in fiction books and in real life

That's most movies based on books. This movie was a Christian-focused version of the books. While they do have Mormons in the books the movie gives the characters faith that the folks in the series do not have.

Michael the Archangel has the ability to cast Lucifer out only with the power of YHVH.

The movie is nothing like the books
That's most movies based on books. This movie was a Christian-focused version of the books. While they do have Mormons in the books the movie gives the characters faith that the folks in the series do not have.

I agree the last ten minutes messed it up. I read the series. Books are different than movie. They were ok, not great, but doable.
Has nothing to do with the topic but I started reading a Game of Thrones long before the television series and once the author started killing off the correctors in the books, I stopped reading the books and I never watched the shows.
I read all the books last year, thought it was ok.

Let alone the fires, and their fallout, that will also come... not to mention the earthquakes from the New Madrid fault line... im thinking the Rockies might be a better bet for surviving the Earth Changes that are coming... just my severely unprepared 2 cents from central pa...
Gotta tell ya if there is a Polar Shift all those mountains are gonna shift too! The New Madrid will not destroy all of Missouri only within a 100 miles of the faultline I moved to Missouri from Chicago about 6 years ago after reading the book Strategic Relocation.

It is wrong of Christians to turn away non-believers. I understand you might not want them in your community but asking them to turn of the video is wrong. You should be encouraging non-believers to find interest and research the life of Christ and being a positive role model. You turning them away, will turn them away from Him.

The movie was meh (ok), but so much better than that awful survival movie the Obamas put out on Netflix. I tried to just go aheaf and die so i wouldnt have to watch it to the end but my body didn't cooperate.
The books are always better. Too bad, because they could really do a good job with movies, if they wanted to do so.
