Not sure what you mean. Projection is when you imagine that the other person has your emotions and viewpoints. If you're claiming that Kramnik is projecting when he accuses the other person of cheating, then you're claiming that Kramnik is cheating.
Hikaru even saw g5 immediately which is insane...the other two winning moves (b5 and Ka6) are imo spottable even by lower rated players if you have a good day, espeically Ka6 imo is really not that hard to calculate. But g5 in one second is otherworldly....
great teamwork between GM Kramnik who furnishes material and GM Nakamura who gets to have some fun with it. but i have to say, its kind of sad. The availability of easy cheating tools, the fact that we are nolonger sure of our assessment of the position, since the engines prove us wrong again and again, and the concern, maybe even paranoia that we are losing to an engine, not a human, casts even the best of us into limbo. Instead of recognizing that he misplayed the endgame, he finds his opponents play 'interesting'. We've been robbed of one of the appealing things about chess: the humbling way it makes us admit that If you lose its because you played worse, and there is noone else to blame but yourself.
Yes. Even the computer dumbs this game down for this super gm w. Ch. to an accuracy number. Back in the day he'd be forced to analyze his own game to see where he went wrong. Confirmation bias is on full display here
I think something important to understand about any rating system is that they are not a measure of skill, but a measure of progression within the system.
At 14:30 kramnik is definitely wrong as I played a game against an 1800 bot yesterday and I played at 2000 apparently, with 92.6% accuracy (I'm 1300 rated)
So you are not a real 1300 player if you can play liké a 2000.I know, it was against bot, but still. Yes this is big issue. I lost so many games recently against players from 1500 to 1800 and all games have the samé scenario. My opponents have estimated rating in game rewiew higher than 2000, sometimes even 2250 or higher with accuracy way above 90%...
While many of us do have some 90% games we don’t have them against Kramnik. Vlad commentary isn’t terrible but yes could use improvement. I’m surprised he missed Ka6. He was thinking about defense instead of winning.
Not only he missed Ka6, but he misses the evaluation bar at the end showing him clearly winning for several moves before he blunders into drawn endgame
However, at the point where he does get into a drawn endgame against Kramnik, he plays 12 non-losing moves. That's 20% of the game played with 100% accuracy, since any non-losing move in a tablebase draw is equally good. So no wonder his accuracy is over 90%.
He didn't blame it on his daugher, did he? He blamed it on his opponent cheating. If he'd blamed it on the disruption of having to go let his daughter into the house, that would be much more reasonable.

It's simple, the rating system is ... relative ... to other players, and if you start from scratch with a room full of equally strong players that all draw their games - the current rating system can't produce a meaningful result. Now that we have engines strong enough to represent a "gold standard" - you switch the ratings system to measure accuracy against such engines - that's all.
1800 blitz here had a 94% game against a 2800 player in blitz with around 60 moves in a strategic game (caro khan exchange variation), which ended in a draw.
Yep, accuracy =/= skill, if you opponent keeps checking you, there's a very high likeliness that you will make the most accurate move to avoid losing on the spot.
The rating system depends on having the data of competitive games. Perhaps back in the day, most competition games would all be FIDE events, but now there's no reason so assume that's true. You can get a lot better than your FIDE rating by playing a lot outside the FIDE data collection system.

But with Kramnik missing this Ka6, wow. SMH.
5:02 Oh, its not grandmasters. Its just people. In general, not even at chess. I do that when im doing mental arithmetic or trying to plan a series of errands or anything where you have to focus. Its an extremely natural response to disengage your vision so you aren't being distracted by stuff. Lots of times people close eyes too, but in chess you have to be looking at your own board so thats less common
Kramnik when he Beat Kasparov vs Kramnik Now...
I love how he needs Hikaru to show him that it wasn't that his opponent was "too strong for his level", but that Kramnik was too weak for his level.
Projection is one of the more common "ego-protecting" mechanism. We all do it here and there - Feel bad for Kramnik though, he kinda dig the hole to his own grave - or rather to his reputation.
Not sure what you mean. Projection is when you imagine that the other person has your emotions and viewpoints. If you're claiming that Kramnik is projecting when he accuses the other person of cheating, then you're claiming that Kramnik is cheating.
this is crazy, Aman have to pull the analysis to see the win but Hikaru immediately sees it in the game amazing
Hikaru even saw g5 immediately which is insane...the other two winning moves (b5 and Ka6) are imo spottable even by lower rated players if you have a good day, espeically Ka6 imo is really not that hard to calculate. But g5 in one second is otherworldly....
Its easy when you are not playing
@@InnocentHummingbird-cd7fh im talking about the Kramnik game before he played Aman
great teamwork between GM Kramnik who furnishes material and GM Nakamura who gets to have some fun with it. but i have to say, its kind of sad.
Confirmation bias is on full display here
I never imagined someone would say 'they just play great chess' to actually put someone down lmao
Hikaru worried about losing his audience to this upstart streamer! 😂
Loses an end game that 1000s wouldn’t lose and complains that the opponent is too strong😂 this man is losing it
Never go full Kramnik
Being accused of creating by Kramnik is high praise!
Gosh Kramnik is really out of his f'n mind.
Interesting…
I've played over 90% against my friend and we are barely above 1000.
100% you don't have to play gm.
Its much easier to have 90% accuracy v 1800 than v 2900 former world champion. But yeah Kramnik is still wrong
Bro I played a 2000 rated bot and my performance was 2450 with an accuracy of 96%
I'm also 1300
Kramnik the type of guy to turn the saying: "if I can't see them they can't see me." Into "if I can't see it, they can't see it."
If old man Kramnik can't keep the kids off his lawn, maybe he needs to build a fence ; -)
He just can’t accept the fact that he isn’t as good any more and the competition is better than it was 20 years ago.
Coach: "You had a winning position but the game ended peacefully"
Kramnik blaming his play on his daughter coming home from school is a hilarious level of EGO and pure unadulterated HUBRIS!!!! ahaha
He didn't blame it on his daugher, did he? He blamed it on his opponent cheating. If he'd blamed it on the disruption of having to go let his daughter into the house, that would be much more reasonable.
no he used his daughter coming in from school, as if it was an interuption to his perfect play and game! like his daughter made noise coming in so it put him off! its clear to see@@beeble2003
Hikaru has the biggest smile while watching this, he is having fun😂
im 1500 blitz, I've played 90% accuracy games many times
Ok we go through the process. Blocked and reported. Thanks
i went from being 1250 to 1720 elo from learning 2 tricks.
it took me 12 years to figure out those 2 tricks.
At 9:58, it sounds like Hikaru is talking to Kramlin and his responses work perfectly lmao
i've watched hikaru bash kramnik for a while now and always thought that he was being a bit too hard on him. but after watching the former world champ blunder a6 for a clear end game win and then bitch and moan about it tells me everything i need to know about this cry baby. sorry for ever doubting you hikaru.
"How do they put up so much resistance. Are zey using bots or something?" Kramnik probably
Hikaru and Kramnik should agree to play against eachother completely naked
Weird fantasy, dude.
Love Hikaru doing the GM look at 9:09 after talking about it at 5:05.
Just a short time ago Hikaru was accusing Hans of cheating
prove it
It's simple, the rating system is ... relative ... to other players, and if you start from scratch with a room full of equally strong players that all draw their games - the current rating system can't produce a meaningful result. Now that we have engines strong enough to represent a "gold standard" - you switch the ratings system to measure accuracy against such engines - that's all.
So Kasparov had seen Kramniks endgame coming up years go. What a legend.
1800 blitz here had a 94% game against a 2800 player in blitz with around 60 moves in a strategic game (caro khan exchange variation), which ended in a draw.
The "GM look away" is bc it is easier to access the recall and memory part of your brain when you look upwards.
Kramnik going full Phil Helmuth tilt mode! 😂
Definitely that isn't healthy. Very soon he will be like Fischer, saying he hates chess.
As a 700, I’ve had 90 games (could likely find it)
the accuracy was 90, but the overall rating given was like 1100.
He has clearly lost his mind.
I was able to find the exact game.
86% accuracy - and it gave me an average elo of 925.
Yep, accuracy =/= skill, if you opponent keeps checking you, there's a very high likeliness that you will make the most accurate move to avoid losing on the spot.
I think krammik should realized that he is not sharp anymore
It's fascinating to see Kramnik's process in real time
yeah with that very easy endgame he blundered he knew but started accusing the opponent fm played fine and gave him enough chances !
Aging sucks Kramnik, all you're left with is denial and bewilderment.
I feel terrible about how much fun watching kramnik mald and complain gives me
8:29 He cheated when he went for the door 😂😂😂
Kramnik career progression in a nutshell
World Champion-Legendary chess player- Chess Detective-Chess Streamer-Comedian
Kramnik is having a serious midlife crisis.
Players like Aman who practice lots of bullet lull these dinosaurs into a false sense of security
Kramnik is so unintentionally funny... I'd watch him stream all day.
They should change the name to Tilted Tuesday.
@GMHikaru You are right about the accuracy system. You show a good example at 2:16. And what you say at the end of the video also makes sense.
the king move is just embarassing, not because of the move, but because hes so adamant that hes correct. god damn
I think Kramnik is producing some great unintentional chess ASMR.
middle age crisis
3:09 Hikaru letting the hate overflow 😂
Kramnik's chat is probably filled with the same people who signed his petition.
The rating system depends on having the data of competitive games. Perhaps back in the day, most competition games would all be FIDE events, but now there's no reason so assume that's true.
You can get a lot better than your FIDE rating by playing a lot outside the FIDE data collection system.
Kramnik should be sued for damaging the legacy of Kramnik.
Not seeing Ka6 was just good 'ole tunnel vision, he was fixated on the f pawn.
