Waterfalls next to Torrent walk campsite in Wales!

- Our recent visit to the Snowdonia national park in North Wales took us to Torrent walk campsite, just outside Dolgellau. We immediately left our VW California campervan at the site and took a very short hike to the start of the Torrent walk which turned out to be jaw droppingly beautiful!
It gently gains elevation for the duration of the walk, alongside a fast moving river, waterfalls, super green mosses, trees and general woodland wildlife.
It's the best short walk we've done in years! We stopped off for a dinner (lunch for you southerners) break, got the camp cooking kit out and made food and a brew.
Jack our labrador loved being off lead to burn off all that energy too.
Back at camp, we had a campfire, a few beers and woke up to beautiful heavy rain so we simply headed back home, happy and fulfilled.
The campsite itself is a beautiful farm campsite, set in a countryside location with easy access from the A470. It has perfectly good facilities which are, as expected, very clean. You are allowed raised fire pits or, you can hire one from them along with buying their logs.
They also have glamping options throughout the site and, it's perfect for mountain bikers as you have Coed Y Brenin, along with other MTB centres and routes nearby.

Hi guys, many thanks for this video. As soon as we watched it, plan to visit. We are here now and have just walked the Torrent. It is beautiful and just right for a 70 yr young man and wife. Many thanks for the entertainment and ideas of where to visit. Stay happy, keep smiling and enjoy.

What we want, costs a little more in the lakes but there isn’t a huge difference to be honest. Might just be, the properties available right now seem better value in Wales.
Waterfalls make great entertainment but not the best environment to talk to a microphone 😄😄

Plagiarism is a terrible thing but I'm afraid Ruth and I are going to prioritise that campsite and do that walk in the very near future! It's dangerously close to the Starbucks that used to sell 'Puppuchinnos' too. When you asked Sarah what time it was, Ruth and I both said, 'beer o'clock' at the same time. I don't know if that says more about us or you. 😬 Great vlog. Hopefully catch up with you soon with a few others.

The walk is gorgeous! I can imagine there’d be a few midges in better weather but we didn’t see any, plus there’s plenty of water coming down which is ideal.

I've decided to book myself in with the Cali to stay a night or two en route to Coniston Park Coppice for a few nights.

Another great video - thanks. Coincidentally I had a can of that Northern Monka couple if nights ago at the start of our Northumberland trip. Agree with you - not bad but wouldn't buy a load. The chocolate caramel porter they do however was VERY nice.
Might have to try that site although reviews are quite mixed online. I also think £4 pn for a dog is a con. Never seen that much before. Good luck house hunting and hope you make Scotland.

I’ve not read any reviews on the campsite, not sure how you’d downgrade it unless you’re pitched up next to idiots but, we liked it, apart from the dog who doesn’t use the facilities but cost £4 😄

Turn right out of the campsite and less than 5 minutes, you’ll see a sign for torrent walk on the right hand side of the quiet country road. If you go over the river, you’ve gone too far 👍🏼

It has a curved blade and a built in brush for removing dirt, definitely a gimmick but pretty cheap and enables me to keep my other knives in relevant pockets/pouches to continue to do knife stuff 👍🏼
