Nice flight. Cold fingers? Haha! I know the C7 Pro uses 7.5” props, but curious if you could lay those battery packs flat? That’s how I run them on my C7 and it works great. The idea is to keep the center of gravity as close to the thrust line as possible to maximize stability and handling. Another thing I did was add Velcro pads to the top of the frame and the bottom of the batteries. This adds some extra security, and stops them from twisting. I never 100% trust those straps… especially for these type of flights! Cheers bud!
Thank you! Cold fingers?... my fingers was death after the flight! it was a pain! but i cant fly with gloves! And thank for your tipps. I wanted to lay the Batteries flat. But they are too long, My Camera angle is too steep. I had not enough clearance for the go pro, when i lay the Batteries flat. But yeah i dont trust the velcro straps as well! so i try to fly very smooth, no hard turns etc. Up to now they never felled off xD. But its not a bad idea with Velcors on top!
@@rrdrone90 I did a quick 10 minute flight the other day and my fingers were on fire! I was racing back to land and get inside… I’m in Norway and it’s been brutal cold here the last two weeks. Regarding the straps, another good option is to simply add two additional straps. 👍 Last but not least, if you ever feel like making some Li-Ion packs, Molicel P28a 18650 cells work really great. I made a 5600mAh 6S2P pack a few months ago as an alternative to my much larger 8400mAh packs, it is 300g lighter, and fits much nicer on top. It can handle 70A and I get between 12-13km trips of fast mountain flights.
@@GiantAntCowboy Yeah the cold is really a bit a problem. I had a 8 minutes flight straight to the mountain at the start. I just set the course and then put my hands in my pockets to warm them up xD its not realy possible to add moore straps on the chimera "pro" because he has side panels, that only allows the straps at 2 positions. That is better on the old one. The old one flys longer anyways. The Pro is not that efficient with his bigger motors. But he can handle the weight very well! thats the plus for the pro. Maybe i should make me a 8000Mah 6s2p li ion in one pack. that would be easyer to strap down! But for the moment it works =)
@@rrdrone90 That's huge ! It's the antenna who let you go so much away? They are on the googles or the drones or maybe the controller ? sorry for my basic knowledge.
Hey man ! Lovely video. Just wondering, do you know what ESC you can fit in the chimera 7 pro V2 ? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I don't want to go with the Iflight electronic, I'm thinking of a Axis Argus Stack unstead, do you think it would fit ? Appreciate it !
The Chimera 7 frame uses a 30.5mm x30.5mm pattern to screw down the Stack. so I think you can use any 30mm pattern stack. But the problem will be the side panels! You ll get 2 problems i think. first, the USB-C hole in the side panel might not fit. And second. the Iflight F7 Stack is 35mm wide, some other Stacks are bigger and might not fit in the Side Panels. I think you could use the frame without the side panels.
Really nice footage. Good job! Next time I would like to see a DVR overlay with OSD data. These are the most interesting things (for me) on a long range flight. What total distance you flew?
Thank you very much! 2 things about the dvr. With the dji google v2 i cant record it. I have already ordered the new "goggles 2" with them ill be able to record it. But the second thing is in Switzerland long range flying its not realy legal. So i dont want to show in the Videos how far and high i realy was flying. And i cut the video in moore pieces. That the video ppossible could be made with different "legal" flights on different locations. I am worried a bit, that anyone could use my videos to judge me. Especialy if my channel is growing.
Thank you. Yeah with the DJI FPV goggles v1 or v2. Not all OSD settings are working. But the gps distance should work. Did you activate the OSD in betaflight and in the goggles? If you want the full Betaflight OSD you need "WTF OS" on the goggles. And you need to root your goggles. Go on google and search for "WTF OS DJI goggled" you ll find there how to do it. Or you buy the new "goggles 2" with them the Betaflight OSD is fully working.
makes me miss the winter :) longe range beginner question, were you able to fly *behind* mountains or do you need to keep the drone in sight to not loose signal with the Tango TBS 2?
Thank you. The Batteries did hold well. Maybe not as good as in summer, but Ok. I got around 23 minutes of flight time out of it. And it was realy cold!
Wow 🤩🤩!! Great video 🏆 with wonderful footage 🏔️ ! I love the „story-telling-style“ and the music. Super well done 🫶🫶
thank you very much!
Very nice flight !
Amazing 😍
Great shots! The most and the pines was the best.
Very enjoyable and attractive flight!👍

@@rrdrone90 Absolutely, I used to put a long strap around both batteries horizontally, that added a lot of stability. Or Duct Tape them together! 😁

sorry beginner here. can i ask how to run parallel batteries, do i need to buy additional accessories?
You just need a "parallel cable". You can do it by your self, or just buy one. Somethig like that www.fpv24.com/en/fpv24/xt60-y-kabel-parallel
No need to use adapter cable. Just buy a 8000mah Li-ion pack instead of 2x 4000. 😉
@@MrSmithFPV thats true. But the 4000mah's i can use on smaller quads as well. A 8000mah Batterie would be too big

Nice flying. Is your Chimera on BF 4.2?
Thank you. My chimera is on BF 4.3. I think it flys better on 4.3. But maybe its only in my head xD
