    I like the way you started pulling both string at the same time i never seen this technique from a pro shop.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the cool video.
    I have NEOS 1500. I am having some issues when pulling and releasing the lock after clamping.
    1) During pulling, my tension head travels quite a bit (more for soft string but way more than yours).
    2) During releasing the lock after clamping my tension head makes sound and travels back. In your case it barely moves and very gentle.
    Is there any adjustment that I can make to fix this?
    Other question: where do you lube or what cleaning do you do in the tension head?
    Thanks

    What kind of string is used?
    What distance is ideal for the gripper to be away from the racquet to start the pull?

    Hi
    This is brilliant. My Willson pro staff ULS has one vertical line with one small piece of string only. The rest ends early I think this incorrect. What do you think. It does not look like yours

    Doesn't a synthetic gut string like that stretch out like crazy after the crank locks. How many lbs difference between constant pull?

      You En Not much of a difference and it depends on the machine/technique used. Remember that the string continues stretching out after it is clamped as well, not just while being tensioned. For the tension difference compared to a constant pull, two important factors are how quickly you clamp after tensioning, and how close you get the tension head to the racquet before tensioning. Picture pulling 2 seperate strings 50 pounds of tension, one of the strings is a foot long while the other string is 20 feet long. The foot long string will have a much tighter feel (dynamic tension) than the 20 foot string which will still feel loose. Because of the fact that most electric machines have a tension head which sits further away from the racquet than a lock out tensioner can get, this tends to mostly even out the difference. With all that being said, I usually recommend just a 2 pound increase with a lockout machine compared to a constant pull (but if you aren't quick to clamp after tensioning than you may want to add another poind or two). Honestly 95% of players can't tell a difference of 2 pounds but it's important to be accurate regardless

    I use Wilson Six-One 95 rackets with a 16X18 string pattern. I don't want to use one piece to string the racket because I want to use 2 different types. I can't find a video or videos on stringing a 16X18 with 2 pieces. Can you assist with that?

      Brian Sidney the process is really the same from start to finish. You'll just lace 16 mains and tie the knots, the same as you would with 18x20 16x19 etc. Check the direction the grommet hole are facing for guidance on which holes to skip. The knot holes will be the ones that are slightly bigger and more warped

    Hello man. One question, why do you start pulling the two mains together?

    • @bengray5013
      @bengray5013 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To increase tension on both sides before using the starting clamp would be my thought...

      ben gray that is not something I’ve seen often. My thought, he does that, then applies tension again on one at a time. That is a double tension application. That would prestretch and further reduce the elasticity of the 2 center mains, in comparison to the rest of the mains. Unless it is willingly made, it would be a mistake I would say

      @@jorgeandrescoppiano I’ve seen it done by several stringers, to me it makes sense as you maintain more tension balance on both sides of the mains

    what strings do you personally use most?

      The ones you see in this video probably. Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex. One of if not the most sold string worldwide. For poly string, I usually use tourna bighitter blue.

    I am having some challenges string the pro staff 97- any suggestions? my problems are really on the tie offs when using two strings. It seems that the crosses and mains need to tie off both at S5

    • @Sokeresa
      @Sokeresa 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      About 20-21ft for the mains, and about 17-18ft for the crosses usually works for 16×19 or 18×20.

      I played this model racquet yesterday after i strung it with a Wilson hybrid string. I'll have to remember to go a couole pounds tighter when the weather gets warmer. Thanks for the video.

    Ok. This is NOT for beginners like me. Not one word about string lengths, starting... nada. I'll go fine another video
