Please keep Drinking coffee because here in Uganda we grow coffee for a living 😅. It has helped many people to escape poverty
Don't worry,we will never stop drinking coffee,no matter how expensive it gets.
You should demand higher prices for your produce that big companies get for a low price and resell for a huge profit.
I wish you freedom from the big corporations that exploit you.
We want more coffee, not less! Glad it has lifted people out of poverty. ❤
I will never ever stop drinking coffee until I die. 🥰
That’s a great way to excuse my addiction.
Yes Philippines is one of biggest coffee drinkers in the world.. our day is not complete without a cup or more each day

I quit coffee after drinking it for 10 years daily and was addicted for sure. Everything is more in balance now, mood stabilised, and no more anxiety. The anxiety was the worst part for me
What do you drink now? I feel sometimes it's a habit to be sipping on something during the day and just drink water doesn't fill that gap.

BBC got some serious editors in their team. I am impressed by the motion graphics.

Then just sleep. Who needs coffee
I used to love coffee for years and I needed it every morning as a my drug...but after several years I released how bad it was for my gut, my nervous system, my sleep and my brain. I stop it for 3 months, then return to it again, then stop it for good after 2 months. Sometimes i still miss that little boost in the morning....But I really don't miss how bad I can feel for the next 6 hours after. So happy to be coffee free now at 36 years old
Yeah, I don't need it anymore to start my day.
Same here. Had to stop drinking it for gut related issues and now I feel much better overall.

As a caffeine person this was so cool to know
I gave up coffee recently. I started drinking coffee daily at the age of sixteen, and it became an addiction. It all started when I wanted to stay awake and study for an exam. I totally regret drinking coffee for eighteen years. My health is much better after I quit coffee. I used to frequently get heartburn and mouth ulcers when I was drinking coffee. I also suffered from anemia because coffee and tea reduce the absorption of iron in your intestine.
Coffee and tea, or the caffeine in the coffee and tea?
Are you a GUINNESS drinker? Guinness can actually help people with iron deficiency!
So true... It is an addictive drug
I am slightly addicted to coffee (like its taste, but don't drink it everyday).
However, when I drink it during exams, it doesn't make me stay awake at all....I feel naturally sleepy....
@trentpettit6336 Is that some kind of alcoholic drink? I don't like the smell of alcohol. It smells like the organic solvents in the chemistry lab.
After Parents, Siblings and God...Coffee is the most valuable subject in my life.

I simply can’t live without drinking coffee! ☕️
I've never had coffee until a few years ago, when I started testing it. My overall takeaway is that it leaves me with less energy, and makes me more tired and less energetic about life and all the things I'm focusing on. I recommend you try cutting out this dangerous drug - try going a week without it. Being addicted to or reliant on any drug is terrible. You don't have to cut it out completely, but just try and see for yourself how you feel.
I had low BP and coffee helps
@@JaydenLawsonSome people (like me) need coffee. I have a very bad case of insomnia so I 100% need it or my eyes burn. I’d have no power otherwise
That's not a good thing, you should get help for that.
Now imagine someone saying that they simply can't live without cigarettes, alcohol or meth. Addicts say that. And yet somehow when it's applied to coffee, it's okay.
Coffee is great, but you can’t beat a nice cup of tea.
Tea is great, but you can't beat a nice up of .... tea
Tea with sugar is poison.

She forgot the most important thing ... Coffee pushes out 💩 💩 out the back door .
I like coffee. It gives me an almost immediate boost of energy and alertness but it also causes me to get anxious, depressed and lose sleep. I even notice i get a stutter when i drink coffee.
Try combining half decade and half regular strength when brewing, this should help any symptoms/side effects. You can also adjust varying amounts of caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, according to your body’s reaction.
Try not to drink coffee after 3:00PM. I can drink it much later without experiencing side effects…including insomnia. Yet, my brother cannot tolerate any amount of coffee, so I looked into Green and Black Tea, as well as, other caffeinated options on his behalf. Strangely, I discovered my brother is able to drink Green and Black Tea…yet…I cannot touch Green Tea without experiencing severe side effects…ranging from migraine headaches, nausea/vomiting, and severe joint pain - to name a few.
Scientific research has demonstrated coffee to be effective in preventing multiple diseases…Alzheimer’s, Chronic Constipation, and Colon Cancer, among many others.

As an active gym goer. I had no clue that my lack of recovery was due to my intense coffee intake. The level of insomnia that I had to deal with over the years were absolutely unbearable.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed some of the benefits of coffee as mentioned in this video. Mainly, "The suppression of appetite and massive increase in strength /energy levels.
However I would never prioritize a coffee over my sleep, as it could have been very detrimental to my overall health. So I had to quit!! Nonetheless, I still miss that massive aroma!
I used to love coffee and feel elated after drinking. BUT as the "high" wore off I'd get headaches, feel lazy and start craving it. Ultimately took a decision to quit. Had to put up with headaches for about 2 weeks, now more than a year and all good coffee free
Something must be wrong there, as you shouldn't get those issues. Caffeine is a diuretic so you should be drinking water to keep you hydrated and avoid headaches.
If you go to Italy, you'll be served water alongside your espresso.

0:50 Fun to think how persistent ancient people might’ve been in experimenting with different ways to somehow consume this hard bean until they discovered the best way was to roast them and then powder and run scalding hot water through them to extract their nutrients.
Those Sufis in Yemen needed something to feel all that night time worshiping so they were hard at work lol
What nutrients?
@@gerryhouska2859 Antioxidants and minerals are contained in coffee. Depending upon the brewing method…magnesium, manganese, chromium, cobalt, potassium, B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin) are valuable sources contained in coffee.
There are also benefits to the body, along with preventing serious illnesses…Alzeihmer’s disease and Colon Cancer to name just two.

last year I realized that years of periodic painful, red and purple toes, which eventually peeled like the frost nip peels, was caused by my caffeine intake from lots of coffee, lots of chocolate milk and excessive hot coco powder. it has an affect on some peoples liver. 12 months without coffee. I miss it, but I save a LOT of money... for some reason, moderation is more difficult with psychoactive substances ; ),
Have you ever tried combining varying amounts of decaffeinated and caffeinated coffee when brewing? I have to do so for some of my family members who are sensitive to caffeine.
At Christmas and throughout the Holiday Season, I make “Specialty Coffees” for family and friends alike. I even make fully decaf and various combinations of caffeinated/decaffeinated for those who are sensitive to caffeine. This way, everyone enjoys their specialty cup of Java, along with my homemade baking.

Good work on the animations, it makes the story much more interesting. Props to the editor
One of the most important aspects about coffee that should’ve been mentioned in the video is the fact that coffee is one of the most heavily sprayed crops by insecticides, so it is highly recommended that you seek out organic coffee.
Can you recommend any retailers of organic coffee?, I don't buy from the internet. I've looked this year for organic in the town I live but nowhere stocks any. Some advice would be good please.
@@user-og1rw5cj1n I’m in Canada and I buy a local organic coffee brand readily available at the supermarkets here called Kicking Horse. It’s also available on Amazon and in some parts of the US.
I really enjoy my cup of coffee - actually at least 10 cups a day and at 55 years old I am very pleased to carry on and have no regret over supporting the industry.
Hell yeah brother that’s a lot! Sometimes i mostly have 3 or 2 lol 10 might be overkill for me though
Everyone is different. 10 cups of coffee would kill my stomach. I drink about 3 or 4 cups a day. If I drink more, my body gets used to it, and I don't have the stimulating effect. But if it works for you, go for it!

@@hanskazan7403 True.
I cut my coffee with chicory, 1/2 and 1/2. Tastes great; more inulin; less caffeine and just as satisfying. No sugar added, just some whole milk. Perfect.
Good suggestion. Unfortunately, I have Crohn’s disease, so I cannot consume inulin, unless I want to be hospitalized. So, what I do is use a locally sourced, organic decaffeinated and caffeinated roast. I use varying amounts of both, depending upon who I’m sharing my coffee with.
On the occasion where I combine half decaffeinated with caffeinated, I can enjoy a bit more coffee in my day, which is always delightful!

Coffee by itself is okay. Coffee with creamer just makes it so much better.
well... for some beans, yes.. for others, naa.. less so
Yes it may taste better with sugar and creamer but then you lose all the coffee benefits once you add that poison.
Creamers are basically a poison, try not to get accustomed to it.
If the coffee is of good quality and brewed well you should not need that, especially those artificial flavoured ones.
Milk will give that hint of sweetness and balance.
@@Boston82blhow? No real negatives with cream or milk
Yuck, black coffee is better. If your coffee is of good quality it will taste nice without creamer, sugar and all that unhealthy crap you put in it.
Love all the different flavours and effects of this wonderful stimulating drink! Thank you coffee growers and makers!
Coffee also stimulates the production of the hormone gastrin, which helps push food through the gut. So if you find drinking coffee helps you to do a poo, then you are correct, it does!
When I was studying in India, I consumed a lot of coffee. The effects this had on me were a nightmare! I had very little sleep, developed migraines, had rapid heartbeats and was very irritable and always on some kind of an impulse. I discovered coffee might have been the cause when, on one particular week I did not take coffee and I felt different. Since then, I stopped taking coffee completely!
Early when you stopped, did you feel exhausted?
Well done!
I drink half a cup a day in the morning especially after a full restful sleep, three or four days a week.
It also narrows and stiffens your veins/arteries, its a dehydrant so it dehydrates your body tissues. my friend was addicted to it, eventually his bladder/kidneys failed due to the avalanche of acid they were swimming in all the time, and he died in his late 40s.

I quit coffee for 3 months this year. I definitely would feel some of the same annoyances as I normally do, but my impulsivity to act on those annoyances went WAY down.
It often works for me to stop a migraine which is a disease that affects the nervous system so now i’m understanding why drinking coffee helps
Migraine is symptom, not a disease.
I went through the same thing as you but I only found out I was actually deficient in other minerals and vitamins. I began consuming Zinc and vitamin c in the morning and I no longer have headaches! You should give it a go if your migraine persist.
The migraine is likely due to coffee addiction and its withdrawal effects. It is very common to experience a headache when you start to withdraw from coffee, even after just a few hours without it. Drinking coffee again can relieve the headache. This occurs because caffeine blocks adenosine receptors in the brain, and during withdrawal, the accumulated adenosine exerts its effects more strongly.
@@gazzyb85 I didn’t think that I had a coffee addiction as I only drink 1 mug (2 cups) a day after breakfast. If my migraine is full swing, coffee doesn’t have any taste and i don’t want to drink it.
