Great video , love mine . Had it on our small farm for 2 years now wlith no complaints. Took a couple nicks out with a chainsaw file and finish it on my diamond file, and right back to a razors edge. Only complaint is they got me for $150 at our local specialty store 😂
just spoke to my man over in oregon to get you some blades to test. it aint fair you spending all this money bro - lets see what he says. gotta tell ya - this hawk really does deliver - the top edge was great in deep bites to aid retrieval. i love it fingers crossed buddy ;)
Super cool review dude! I'm so jealous you've got that Kangee. That's my dream hawk. It would be the perfect crash axe. Light, sharp and full tang, you could get into or out of any car with the quickness!
Tac, I have one word... Amen! I loved this review, probably cause I have one of these little bad boys myself! It lives in my Ute, under my driver's seat. I've seen the CRKT / RMJ video, of Mr Johnson himself, doing a number on an old car with (I think it was) the Eagles Talon, and damn, he was cutting that frickin car to bits! So from my perspective I guess, as a breaching / rescue tool, is why I keep it in my Ute... I hope I'd never need to use it in this application, but, never say never right! Thanks again for doing this video bro, love your work.
***** hows this hawk held up over time? Does it hold edge long? Does it take long to sharpen it? Hows the sheath hold up? Been thinking about buying it for years now but have not. I have sog fasthawk it does not hold edge at all i can use it 5 min and its dull.
I have one and i liked so much! I taked for bushkrafting. They maked a really good job because its a fulltang costruktion! Better as a plastikhandle how by M48!
Excellent review. I have enjoyed using this tomahawk greatly. One suggestion for the handle, is to use several small rubber bands (or ranger bands) and wrap it with them. This not only provides extra grip, but also cuts down on the wear on your hands without gloves.
I just ordered me a CS War Hawk - a cheapie but a goodie. I've been eyeing this little puppy though and it's just about within my price range at the moment, so it will be my next tomahawk, that is for sure. The RMJ Eagle Talon is going to take some building up to, because I could buy a hell of a nice snare drum or Paiste cymbal for that kind of money - especially over here in England. Still, lots of nice woods out here in Oxfordshire, so I can take it out with me on my mountain bike, smoke a fat one and fuck some shit up. By the time I get this, I will probably have broken the Cold Steel, but time will tell.
Yah that's a cool hawk. Not sure if I like it better than my Sog. But yah don't own a t hawk. What concerns me is the top of the hawk being sharp, catch a deflection off with his head. Going have too look into it.
i've had one of these for a while and used it for clearing saplings and shit like that - but man that little curve at the bottom combined with the exposed tang, it puts a hell of a pressure on the pinky of your swingin' hand. I swear it took days before my finger felt right again. I had to build up/pad the bottom with ranger bands and hockey tape. Did you experience any of that?
You need to send your videos to the companies that you review. They would probably send you samples for your reviewing pleasure. I know I have bought stuff based on your reviews and I bet others have too. If you contacted them and told them what you are doing, you could probably request items to review. Yes, you are that good.
Im split 50-50 between this and the s&w for a self birthday present...would you say one has the edge as a defensive tool primarily? Any opinions would help
Hey Tac, during this crazy time I am looking for a good all round Hawk and I live in So Cal and I'm looking for one that would be good in Urban area and back country if needed. So, do you still recommend this Hawk? I like the features and overall durability. What do you think?
Danny Schreckengost I've had a Kangee T-hawk for a couple of years now, and I use it often. It will last your lifetime, and serve your next generation as well. 👍
Hey man, nice video, I just found your channel threw researching for suvival tomahawks - it seems like you do alot of this stuff - can you recommend me a survival tomahawk, shovel, saw and knife in 2021? If you could help me a bit I would be very happy :)
@@17_jager37 should check out the channel 'Joe X' he puts these tools through some crazy testing. Some actually survive. Depends what you're looking for really, as 'survival' tools is such a broad term these days.
If you want this one for throwing, don't do it. The little lip on the bottom hits your hand and screws up your throw. You can throw it (I do) but its not what its made for. But for utilities, this is the way to go.
Since this hawks has edgeslike everywhere i was like "dont fcking cut yourself" all the time through the vid^^ Tomahawk vs firefighters axe w/ spike, your opinion? Greetings, Soly

Second time I watch this. Miss Your knife-and tomahawk reviews. Please do a political analysis too 😊

Sweet fucking hell I can't wait till mine gets delivered now!

tac thanks for the vids your asome man thanks
your to kind :)
Hey TAC, thanks for the review!
I was wondering, what do you do as rust prevention on your different hawks?
Plesse help, between this and the Gerber downrange tomahawk?
Are the nylon t hawks better than wood handle for tactical?
If u mean all polymer vs wood go with wood
@@cbr600rrturbo it doesn’t look like the tang is present on the wood handle Kangee.
@@jasoncorganbrown the wood handle kangee doesn't have a tang. It's an axe head with a wooden handle. Easy to replace the handle in case it breaks.

I like the way you said "The Blade Itself". Are you into Joe Abercrombie's books? :D
RMJ does not upset! :)

Another Good Un Tac Thanks M8
Im split 50-50 between this and the s&w for a self birthday present...would you say one has the edge as a defensive tool primarily? Any opinions would help

Do u think tac that the top of the hawk is functional, or for a cool factor?. I watched your vid so I c that is more for splitting. He'll if I know.
Torn between this and the crkt hisshou now lol
i fucking love u man
why do you wear a mask?
Brandario cuz he is a woods ninja
Since this hawks has edgeslike everywhere i was like "dont fcking cut yourself" all the time through the vid^^
Tomahawk vs firefighters axe w/ spike, your opinion?
Greetings,
Soly
fire fighter axe way more powerful but this one is small and compact...one must make the choice..power or speed ..or a combo of both
Mine broke after a summer of throwing it at my tree. It finally gave and snapped right at the screw underneath the head
Hey brother youtube fucked my account up unsubed from a lot of people deleted videos ect. Going to pick one of those up in a couple months, thanks for the video.
The Outdoors Channel 10-4
review is awesome,, i only wish you respected the tree's more..
🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Shit I lost count lmao .. very funny
Nice Tomahawk bro...Id just be concerned with smashing up the handle scales while splitting logs if ya' had to but besides that it's bad-ass!
God damn, that intro tac...
Sharpen the beard, and wrap the handle with tennis racket grip tape. Budda-bing!
That's what that tree gets for talking shit, and I got mine off amazon for 90
hell ya
I wish me that cool Tomahawk but on Germany cost that bad ass thing 200$ :( but for a student not god :D
I feel for ya man
