The reason why in India we see lead acid still is mainly because of cost .. on the other hand we have safety as well..
Lithium ion has battery management circuit but if thats gone.. the chances of blowup is high .. but in lead acid it never blows up, but it does heat up and leaks out the water .. comparatively the impact is still very low in a crash.

You might be thinking lead acid is cheap and li-ion is expensive if you are taking e bike for a short time like 2-3 years go with lead acid if you are going for long term go for li-ion or just buy a petrol scooter
And batteries ok change karna padhta hai agar aap lead acid ko long term use karoge toh karsakte ho but apko 2 saal ke baad battery change karna padhega

Sir Maine electric cycle banai hai.maine Usme 24v 250watt motor ka use Kiya hai.maine Usme li-ion battery ka use Kiya hai jo *24v 20Ah* ki hai.maine saara connection bilkul thik tarah se Kiya hai phir bhi motor chal nahi pata Rahi hai.*jaise hi throttle Ko apply karta hu battery ka connection chhut jaati hai.
The problem can be either with the bms or motor controller.
To test bms try a different load of same wattage
For testing motor controller check out the max acceptable voltage if datasheet is available if not then try a different power source to test out the motor controller...

Li ion is best.lead acid maintance regularly and its old techno battery.li ion don't need to maintance.its my simple opinion.thanx for your defination.
Your technical coverage is good. The only thing I want to add is about lead acid flooded deep cycle vs lithium batteries, in a static application, where weight and size are not an issue. Lead acid is FAR better and literally cannot be defeated, IF you use the RIGHT charging technique. A goid quality, deep cycle LA battery can easily deliver 6000 to 10000 charge cycles with DOD at 50% max. At the rate of 2 cycles per day, that works out to about 25 years service life!!! Lithium ION, which is much more expensive, can come no where close to this. I have tested this special charging technique and found it really works. To get this kind of life, the battery should be of good quality components, that's all. And speaking further, I have noticed that lead acid batteries are very much safer and tolerate MUCH more abuse, when compared to Lithium ION batteries.
Is the special technique the multiple stage desulfation and trickle charging technique that you are talking about.

@@DIYININDIA No. It's done using a special charger, that I have built myself, which takes care of sulphation issues and thereby ensures that the battery is not allowed to build up sulphation.

In simple words it almost double, ie lithium batteries are double the cost compared to lead acid counterparts.

i have okinawa praise. it has lead acid battery which is SMF. 2 of them have fallen from 12v to 8v. i tried to restore by water and h2so4 but no success. then i found that it has gel electrolyte. can we restore a gel electrolyte based lead acid battery???

in case one E- Rikshaw installed with 48v and 60 Ah Battery (set of 4 , 12v, 100ah Battery) with 300 kg load giving a KM range of aprox 80-100KM
what will be the difference in KM range ? if we replace the battery with Lithium ion 48V 60ah Battery.
Won't make a huge difference as only the weight is reduced for a slow application of erickshaw

Overall load approx 400 watt(fan,bulb,tv etc). With full load it will take 10 hours to discharge. So how much voltage need? How many cell need? How many will be cost ?
Cost will be quite high , voltage depending upon your inverter

लेड एसिड बैटरी खाली सस्ती ही नहीं पड़ती जब इसकी सही तो उस खत्म हो जाती है कहने का मतलब जब यह चार्ज होना बंद हो जाती है यानी कि खराब हो जाती है तो आप इसे अंदर के इलेक्ट्रोलाइट और प्लेट को चेंज करा सकते हैं यानी बहुत कम कॉस्ट में आपकी बैटरी दोबारा से न्यू हो जाएगी जबकि लिथियम आयन बैटरी एक बार खराब होने के बाद इसके सेल कभी काम नहीं आते हैं इसका बैकअप हमेशा के लिए खत्म हो जाता है यह लिथियम आयन बैटरी का सबसे बड़ा ड्रॉबैक है हालांकि लिथियम आयन बैटरी हल्की होती हैं माइलेज अच्छी दे सकती हैं लेकिन एक लिमिट के बाद इन्हें चेंज करना पड़ता है हालांकि यह कॉन्सेप्ट कहता है कि अगर लिथियम आयन बैटरी में ग्रेफाइट और कॉपर के बीच में सिलिकॉन के लिए हो जाए तो लिथियम आयन ऑक्साइड में नहीं बदल पाएंगे और बैकअप बढ़िया मिलता रहेगा लेकिन यह भी अभी तक एक कांसेप्ट है लैपटॉप पावर बैंक तथा मोबाइल फोन जैसी हल्के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक आइटम में लिथियम आयन बैटरी आदर्श है लेकिन बड़े वाहनों में इस बैटरी का कोस्ट बहुत ज्यादा बैठता है और खराब होने के बाद पूरी बैटरी बदलनी पड़ती है जबकि लेट एसिड बैटरी को रिपेयर आराम से किया जा सकता है अगर आप अच्छे टेक्नीशियन है तो इसे घर पर ही बढ़िया से रिपेयर कर सकते हैं सिर्फ इसकी प्लेटों को बदलना होता है इसीलिए इनवर्टर जैसी घरेलू आइटम में लेड एसिड बैटरी ज्यादा फायदेमंद साबित होती है वैसे उन जगहों पर जहां लंबे समय के लिए लाइट जाती है वह लिथियम आयन बैटरी ज्यादा कारगर है क्योंकि उसका बैकअप ज्यादा होता है

Upto 4.2v for 18650 whereas we charge till 3.6v for LFP batteries

1. What ah each cell need for 40ah
2. For 48v howany cells required
3. Assume if 150 cells required how to balance 40ah when battery pack gives low ah?
The ah needed for each cell can't be decided as you can buy the available type of cells either 2500 or 3300 mah for example.
Or in other words you will need 16x2500mah cells in parallel for 40ah
For 48v 13 cells are required nominal
Actually for a 13s16p 40ah 48v battery you will need 208 cells

Yes you can charge your battery while its being used or discharged.This can be done by supplying more charge current than the current being consumed by the load(discharge current). ie if charge current is more than discharge current then you will be charging your battery...

Bhai nominal voltage, OCV, parasitic draw, internal resistance ka nhi btaya.
Nominal voltage is the rated voltage of battery may vary than load or open circuit voltage (OCV)-BATTERY voltage when no load is connected usually 4.2v for a fully charged lithium cell.
Parasitic draw can be defined as the small current drawn by your circuit or your bms which leads to ultimately depleting your battery in months or a year
Internal resistance is a very important factor which is inversely proportional to the current rating of the cell ie the more the internal resistance the less is the max current output rating of cell.

You can use any amount of ah capacity no problem even if you use 10000000ah it just decides the run-time no relationship with the rating of controller in terms of ah i would recommend to watch my batteries series for more information....
However the more the ah of the battery the more weight your vehicle have to carry of batteries and thus would carry less passenger weight.

I recommend that genuine cells can be found anywhere you just need an eye to find them ,also do the testing of cells go for variety first, try about 100+ cell types and do their capacity testing, you will find the best cell very soon
