the raft wasn't the best but it didn't sink, you caught fish, made fire and also made it to the beach so i mean it was a victory depending on how you look at it... surely you will do better next time, so just keep trying!
On the bright side, if the fire spreads out of control, and it burns your whole craft to the waterline, you're no worse off, since the water line is already to the bottom of the fire!

Loved this one, I've never attempted to camp on a raft. I've made rafts when I was younger and was never able to make them as water buoyant as I wanted, they were always tippy and not high enough out of the water. To think at one time in people used rafts to move and transport goods,unbelievable. Great video guys, thanks for sharing

Great stuff guys! Props to Julius for dispatching the fish. You are pretty much vegan and yet were able to do it when it counts! Even with some flotation issues, this has been one of the best raft videos on TH-cam! Cannot wait until next season! By the way, we are currently building a boat with all stone tools. I agree. It's not "pussy" to preserve life in my opinion. This was in the done name of survival. I am 2 years vegan, but for survival I would eat whatever was available. Fish included.

If you boys are struggling to make content since you live so far from each other, I think solo content would work just fine until you can get plane tickets. True, it wouldn't be full Smooth Gefixt, but I'm sure you can make the content work. Fishing, shelter building, wild edibles, crafting tools, etc. I'd watch that content
Man, I remember fishing my first time as a child. I had a blast and made a lot of friends....but then I caught a fish and they told me that I had to club it to death and I'll admit I was too afraid at that age. It had never crossed my mind that by fishing I had to actually kill something. As dumb as that sounds, I was just young and didnt think of it. I understand julius' aversion to it because I really dont like killing animals either, but I know now that just by eating meat you sentence many animals to death. I think theres at least some kind of respect to doing the deed yourself and only because you need to for food. Just another comment where I wanted to thank you two for all your efforts. These videos do more than the other bushcraft videos I've seen. They show complications, struggle, and the strains of cooperation during trying times. You guys arent always nice to each other, but you are brothers. Im happy to witness your bond and your strength to overcome the adversity of life. Edit: keep doing what you love.

Guys That is really impressive! But you should have worked even more time to make it bigger and truly float well! Go big or go home! Although this is extremely impressive! You all should do another one, but make three floating bases and bigger than higher floor and wider boat!
Oh and half of the boat should have a cover or something! So if it sprinkles you all stay dry! Now I’m not saying stay on the water in a storm just barely rain.

Bad Goy Dogs can panic too, you know? Or get tired, or confused, or stuck. A life jacket is a couple of quid, your dog is irreplaceable. It doesn’t hurt to think about the worst case scenario
