Awesome, this is exactly what I did. I also changed the flow direction of my air intake, because it was sucking in more dust from the back tires and engine compartment. Itnow sucks from inside cab only and I installed a external filter. 2023 zforce 800ex.

I take mine ice fishing I'm on a big lake here in Ontario Canada and when the wind starts blowing you get that fine snow that finds its way into the air Box I only ever use uni and the outer sleeve on all my machines never had a problem love UNI filters.

I went to change the air filter on my 2016 Cforce 400 that I just bought used and there was like 2 quarts of oil in the filter box. I cleaned it out and ran it for about 45 minutes and there was a good 1/4 quart of oil in it again. Now it's in the shop.

Ah shit my wifes sister had the same thing going on it was a super easy stupid fix I want to say a rubber oring but I'm not sure,,hers would fill up and then start sucking oil in the intake and go into mosquito control mode smoke so bad you couldn't see anything around it
I had a 2017 400s. There was a recall in 2017 for that machine to replace the crankcase vent. Ask your dealer about it.
That’ll fix the problem.
@@EdwardMurray06 I think that is what they are doing. But they said they aren't sure if cfmoto will cover it or not.

I've been using Uni filters for over 35 years but I don't spend my money on the fancy cleaning or oil solutions. I clean mine in a bucket of Kerosene, let them dry and oil them with 90w gear oil. Nothing ever gets through and it's Much cheaper especially over a long time.
We used to do that. But you have to oil them often because the 90w runs off of them. The oil kits today the oil sticks to them and stays on.

Do you recommend cutting out the inlet tube on the top airbox lid after installing the Uni? Ive seen videos of guys doing this and im not sure how it would affect my warranty. Great video!
Yes I cut mine. It will void the warranty

I picked up a uni filter from crv powersports for my 1000xl. Filter was about a 1/4 inch to long and also cover would not fully seat properly. What uni filter are you running in 1000xl that fits?

We are working on it as we speak.
Uforce 1000 ...had problem shifting ...now I put it in low...awful grinding noise...is it a shifter problem or transmission?
Might need adjustments

Oh man come on now ,,that hose blasted the first filter and the second one oh man I piss harder than that ,,let's be fair,,my 2022 overland 1000 has a foam prefilter from the factory,,was it dry non oiled yes but that was nothing that a can of filter foam oil took care of in less than 5 minutes from taking the seat off to putting it back on
The hose was set the same for both. Better watch again. The overland has paper filter with foam around it. Your not supposed to oil that. The filter I had in my hand is off a overland without the foam around it.
