Mb b250 electric , cant insert axls to the gear , is there high power pushing need? Or mb i got to tri insert without fix oring , i put some grease on the liners of the axl and move it to the place , when i pulled it back grease was in a half of axl what mean the axl was not in the right place
sorry to read you are having a problem. I'm not familiar with the 'Mb b250 electric' but on the R107, the axle shafts slide in easily. You know when they are in the correct position because the circlip fits on to lock them in place. Mike
Hi I'm out in Oz till end of Jan and dont have access to part numbers. Meanwhile, you could try the site below: mb-teilekatalog.info/?lang=E&mode=BM&class=1&markt=AG Mike
Hi i have a question about a c32 amg my diff broke down i am about to order a used diff from someone but its a bolt on diff i mean it got bolts that need to be screwed on and thats it but mine have a different one in mine the axhe shaft actually goes inside the diff itself so you think it will be able to fit on mine?
Hi - I’m no expert on the C63 but here’s what I think. Ideally, you need to buy the correct diff (eg same part number) as the diff you have on the car at present. If you have bought a diff with bolt on axle shafts, you will first need to make sure that the bolt holes on the diff allow to to actually mount the diff on your car. Next you will need to source axles shafts that fit your new diff and check that these will fit your rear wheels and all the associated hard ware. What you won’t be able to do (as far as I am aware) is use your existing axle shafts with a diff that is expecting bolt on axle shafts. Mike
Thanks for your question. I guess you would have to break it down: 1. The cost of new axle shafts and axle shaft seals etc (these are given at the end of this video th-cam.com/video/QPQAns37d6w/w-d-xo.html) 2. The cost of paint if you were repainting the rear diff (approx £20-£30) 3. The cost of of the rear diff oil 4. The cost of labour. The problem is that once you start on one bit and tidy it up, the rest looks rubbish. VERY roughly, the cost to completely renew brakes, axle shafts, powder coat rear subframe, new subframe mounts, bearings, dust plates...was about £1000 (approx $1500). I reckon if you took it to a specialist garage, you wouldn't get much change from from £3000-£5000 including parts and labour. Mike
Thanks for your comment - I have used Permatex Aviation No. 3 for sealing fuel hoses to tanks, but never the Ultra black - what makes it so good for this purpose? Mike
You would have helped your viewers more by not spending so much time painting something that is rarely even seen. You can use brake cleaner to clean the inside.
Thanks for your comment and the brake cleaner tip. If and when I come to take off the rear diff on the current project car, it will hopefully take me significantly less time to strip the rust and repaint it....we will see. Mike
Great video. I relax during watching your videos. Keep on. Greetings from Georgia :)))
Thanks for your comments. Do you mean Georgia the country or Georgia the state in USA? Mike
