Was in Greymouth 2001,touring West coast and the whole South Island. Met a Swiss globetrotter there, I still have contact with him, posted your video to him. Think he is in Asia now, but he might be anywhere!

We actually drove from Reefton, but you can drive from CHCH no problems. It would normally take most of the day if you make all the stops. Hope this helps!
