Jada Toys forced Storm to make more affordable six inch figures. Competition is great for customers. I'm all in with Jada. But I'll give these a chance.
This is a win-win for collectors, honestly. Competition is always a good thing. I'm committed to Jada, but will absolutely pick up new characters and some variant outfits from Storm (looking at you, Chun-Li). Storm also showed their KoF Kim Kaphwan figure, which I am STOKED for. Great time to be a collector! 👍
@@qemuel I've been hoping for Kim as soon as they started the KoF line. I hope soon Andy and Rock Howard gets announced. All of my favorite KoF characters will have been made at that point.
I'm glad to see it, but I think I'll be more excited by whatever Jada does next. The other big problem with Storm, in addition to their lack of focus, is their reluctance to make female figures. Not one on display from any of their lines at WonFes. A new company debuted a new 1/12th line at the same show (Queen Studios' Morfig) and they already have a Catwoman. Jada made the whole cast of SF2 in no time flat, including the classic Cammy Storm never gave us. Like you said, if Jada starts another SF game, there's a good chance they'll get to everyone. With Storm, they'll probably make Chun-Li eventually, but anyone beyond that is up in the air. Cammy, Sakura, Ibuki, Elena, Rose, Mika... I'm not waiting around for them.
Storm arena should focus on the SFA3 characters that have a deco with no presence with Jada. Granted, ryu & ken are the money makers, so they've kinda *_gotta do them_* for ROI... especially with the reuse of the shoto buck for Akuma and Dan. _(psssshhh, if I were them, I'd even test the waters reusing the mold for blue transparent plastic to represent the V-isms)_ As far as other characters, do Chun Li because here alpha spandex outfit is *_WAY_* different than what jada or s.h.figuarts have done with her. They could probably also get away with doing the bloated m.bison. I'd recommend knocking out final fight characters, guy, cody (not sure if all the villains would sell as well... but rolento might sell better than sodom?) Characters like Guile and Sagat aren't distinct enough for what jada did, so storm might have fewer sales versus just doing other characters jada hasn't done. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Chun-Li's Alpha outfit and the Final Fight characters would certainly tip the scales for me. I loved played with Rolento too so I'd be down for him as well!
I am so happy with the SF2 Jada line. I was hoping they would release Alpha versions of Ryu and Ken in their teenage appearances. Juhn said that he will focus on completing the SF2 roster before moving on to any other SF titles, which I am happy with. However, until they compete the line, it looks like Storm Arena beat Jada to the punch! Or rather, the DRAGONPUNCH! These look like they will fit in extremely well with the Jada line! And I will absolutely be collecting both! 👏
You can tell that storm is doing the anime/ marvel vs capcom animatic renditions of the characters while jada is doing the game sprites and more american side of the franchise which is pretty cool tbh
The Storm Collectibles versions look really good, no denying that. Every time I saw a new Mortal Kombat release from them back in the day, I thought to myself that this was going to be the day that I started my Storm collection. It never happened; partially I think because of the pricing. Jada was smart to come in at the price they did and my hot take is that Jada's Street Fighter figs are maybe 90% of the aesthetic quality of these new Storm Collectibles but for $25. But now that your saying that Storm has lowered the price to $30...yeah, that's gonna be some tough competition. Whoever gets the largest roster first, will probably be the winner of this round for me.
Assuming Storm actually finishes the line, they’re gonna have wayyy more to work with. Alpha 3’s roster is 38 characters. Ultra SF2’s roster is only 19. Assuming Storm gets through all 38 characters, they’re gonna have Sakura, blue Cammy, R Mika, Cody, Guy, Rose, Gen, Charlie, Dan, and the Alpha outfit for Chun Li. Jada isn’t going to have much else to work with unless they move on to other Street Fighter games. If Jada doesn’t go on to Third Strike, to 6, etc, Storm is gonna outnumber them… in about 7 years, when they finally finish releasing all 38 figures. 😆
@@LylesFigureFiles You’re right, Storm is probably gonna finish this line in 15 years 😆 Jada’s moving quickly. I’m pretty sure they’ve revealed every character- and they’re gonna have extra versions, too. Chun Li and Bison both have Player 2 versions, and I don’t doubt we could get Shin Akuma at Comic Con next year. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jada was allowed to go forward with Street Fighter 3: Third Strike once this line is done (plus, I’d absolutely LOVE to see how they’d handle Urien, Elena, Makoto, Yun, Yang, and Q)

VERY true!
price? $24.99?
I think that or $29.99 is the rumor.
I don't think Storm will complete the line up.
Like this prototype they have might be available for PO in 7-8 months.
I hope they realize Jada would get 9 figures out in that timeframe.
Why is Capcom allowing 2 companies making action figures of the same property, the same scale, and the same price. Is Capcom okay with that? If so, I hope one does one game and the other one does another one at the same time.
Simple answer = $$$$$
Sh figuarts sf line 2016-Now
@@LylesFigureFiles I didn’t see that comment because it didn’t pop up in my notifications. But yes, it is for money.
I kinda think it's a cold move by Storm, but business is business I guess.
I think they were seeing their profits shrink with the competition.
Jada Toys takes forever to release the other Fig's where are waves 4 5 and 6 people are getting tired of the waiting games with jada toys and their games!!!!😢😢
You must not collect Storm Collectible figures.

Sorry but Jada Toys started with a Bang and I'm sticking with Jada!
Yeah, same here. I'm already invested in Jada and they're putting out 5 star figures.
Jada really has done strong work. SC is gonna have to make up ground in this 6" market.
I've never purchased storm because I'm not a fam of the false advertising of the scale that carried on thier figures. If they stay true to this arena line, Jada is done, and i have most of their releases already except for the ken and Ryu exclusives.
I think Jada will still retain a sizable fanbase since they focus on completing game rosters while SC is more erratic.
Storm produces 6 inch Street Fighter figures when everyone already owns them, lol.🤣
Never underestimate the power of people rebuying figures from a brand they want to see do them.
I'll take it, details better than Jada
The head sculpts of Ryu and Ken look better.
Unless storm takes their price down to 24 bucks, jada will win every time
This Storm Arena line is gonna be $30.
Video I made it questioned if they are doing alpha or shitting around and doing sf4 or some other crap version I don't care about.
Which one? Jada or SC?
Storms Clollectibles have the worst scaling of all time
Gotcha.
