Mont Maudit (4 465m) - Arete Kuffner D/4c/60°/700m, Massif du Mont Blanc, Italy/France, 16.6.2023

- Next day after acclimatization on Tour Ronde NF (my last video) we climbed Arete Kuffner on Mont Maudit (4 465m). It was my first 4k mountain and it was awesome. The condition of route was perfect. Snow held good, so the climb was fast (Ascent 8 hours). We start at 2:30 from our tent, witch stood under Tour Ronde NF (you can see the spot of our tent in my last video from Tour Ronde NF), and went over glacier under Kuffner ridge. Climb culoir to Col de la Fourche (slope max 50°), where is necessarily to be before sunrise because of falling stones from Kuffner ridge.Than is direction of next climb logical. Follow the ridge to Mont Maudit lower peak (ca. 4 150m - is not on the map) throught 2 stone barrier (the first stone barrier is the hardest part of Kuffner ridge - climbing crux 4c, and the second barrier is easier - 3c), easy mix climbing (M2/II UIAA) and snow slope max 60°. When you climbed on Lower peak (ca. 4 150m), you can go to the left, follow the ridge, and in saddle between Lower peak and main peak of Mont Maudit go to the right down to glacier goes to Mt.B. du Tacul, or you can climb straight (as we climbed) to main peak Mont Maudit (4 465m) follow the ridge, from right side to final ridge, and follow this final ridge to main summut witch is absolutely awesome (as a video previev). When you have enought enegi, you can go to Mont Blanc, or you can descent down to glacier, witch goes around Mont Blanc du Tacul from left to Cosmiques Hut, Aiguille du Midi or to Punta Helbronner. We had tent under Tour Ronde NF, so we descended 5hours. Total time of climb and descent was 13 hours. The descent on glacier around whole Mt.B. du Tacul was extremly exhausting.
But in the end it was awesome climb. Good experience for my mountaineering career.

Yes. It was realy awesome. Thanks this climb i know, that i am able to climb some of the hard ascents. Some TDs etc... I will see, when weather and conditions will be good for some next challenges.

Hi. I have old GoPro hero 7 black. But it has not these collors etc. as you can see in video. It is about setting a camera (1080, 60 FPS, 16:9, SuperView) and mainly about post production editing and coloring in Davinci Resolve. I did it manualy (long boring work :D), but maybe today AI will make it better in some another software.
