Yummy it’s my favorite fufu! Very delicious just too sticky and messy my kitchen is a mess I must have did something wrong because when I touch it it sticks to my hands
Oh no! You used too much water. It should feel like a soft stretchy dough not sticky. When it turns sticky keep adding flour till u see thicklike outcome. E.g use 2 cups water for 1 cup flour
😀 I did not give measurement bc you might not be feeding the same number of people like i did which is why i showcased the secret. How ever by estimate: 4 Cups water to to 2 cups fufu flour. Add more or less depending on how hard or soft you want your fufu
Thank you so much for this video. I've been trying to make it but it was not coming out right. I found your video today and followed you instructions. Thank you for the details you added. Finally for the first time ever, my fufu turned out perfectly. I'm exhausted but it was worth it. So delicious!!!
Please ma I want to ask is the flour mainly on plantain or it a mix flour, the reason why am asking is that my friend has this believe that it must be brown in color while preparing it
It turns Brown sometimes when you use the fresh plantains but this is the colour of this pack i used. Yours might be a bit different depending but once its cooked its elastic and colour changes from before to later
Its either you used High heat or over cooked it but Then hope the color of ur flour aint a different type. However, for this recipe you cook on medium heat temp after your water boils and u begin to add the powder
@@jamilawanja441 No your plantain Fufu turns brown because of what is called oxidation process and that is the original and it's natural colour, the ones you see that turns yellowish are having what is called foods colourings such as the ones in the cakes , custards, tomatoes pastes..., So if your plantain flour turns brown, dont worry, it's simply the natural colour from oxidation.
The oxidation process is also on potatoes, yams, cocoyams..., Hence the food processors add what is called metal bisuphite powder to avoid the oxidations and then add bit quantity of food colourings if necessary.😂 Mores so certain amount of cassava flour are being added in the ratio 1:3 to make the plantain flour more fluffy and amaliable when turning it on the heart or when eating. So the brown plantain flour is the natural and original colour with out additives &, adultarations.

I love that video is just what I needed to see but it really would have helped if I could know how much water you used and how much fufu mix you used.

How many the time, you do cook it?
About 15-20 mins depends on qty
How much water do you start off with
200 ml each plantain
Can you preserve in the fridge and will it be samr
It can stay 48 hours without fridge make what you finish. Fridge hardens fufu, although you can warm it but the texture is different
Hi! Do you let the fufu cool down before putting it in the clear wrap?
NO. Put it in a wrap or foil hot
@@QueenvarietiesChannel thanks
Where can I get plantain fufu(mama's choice) in Lagos
It must not be the exact brand cos I stay in Europe. Any plantain fufu powder in such pack is same
🥰😍😍🤩😘
من ماذا يصنع الفوفو او من ماذا يطحن
Thank you for this but how come your fufu is yellow? the one I bought is black just like amala
Yea mine is Yellow. It doesnt matter the color as long as its Well made😂
@@QueenvarietiesChannel Do you mind explaining how you got the color?
Thats the colour of the product content Pack i bought.
@@QueenvarietiesChannel ok, maybe it's ripe plantain. Thanks for responding
It depends on the producer, if plantain flour is made together without peeling the back then just know it will look like amala@@titilayoalayo2177
But does it taste like the original fufu ?
Does it have salt
No
Есть онлайн магазин где продают FUFU порошок.
Is it plantain flour?
Yes
Please note that from recent research, it is not advice to wrap hot food in nylon
Do your add salt to your Fufu
Nope. Your soup or sauce CONTAINS it so NO need.
Why does my plantain fufu turn black when I cook😭😭. Please my sisters help a Kenyan 🇰🇪 sister
