I loved the production, the look of the piece, the insider friendship with The Swiss One...if only you could have put a better edge on it...it's about as sharp as the tip of a screwdriver and I can see from your sharpening stroke towards the camera just why. You are practically pushing the edge across the sandpaper at a 90 degree angle. I would look at some knife sharpening videos to get some better techniques. Also, 2 heavy cuts and one very light cut on your way down to full depth on the cove router cut will eliminate burn marks and hours of sanding!

I like it how he said a little squeeze even though he used like a quarter of the can
The stop motion animation bit with packing up the old handle reminded me of when I was younger, my sibling and I would make little animations using household items. We would have gone wild for that candy tin! Thanks for the great video and the trip down memory lane!
is no one gonna talk about that beautiful hsndle he got sent like wow
Why cut bread with it ? Clearly its the wrong tool for that, this is clearly for cutting fingers of British archers off. . . I mean sausages, for sausages in a casserole
yes
Mhm....
Used to go to a grocery store with my grandmother where they would slice dry salted codfish with one of those.
I mean the casserole tastes the same no matter which you use
It’s a kitchen knife

I loved the production, the look of the piece, the insider friendship with The Swiss One...if only you could have put a better edge on it...it's about as sharp as the tip of a screwdriver and I can see from your sharpening stroke towards the camera just why. You are practically pushing the edge across the sandpaper at a 90 degree angle. I would look at some knife sharpening videos to get some better techniques. Also, 2 heavy cuts and one very light cut on your way down to full depth on the cove router cut will eliminate burn marks and hours of sanding!
I was about to suggest a sharpening stone. To be fair, it does take practice and knowledge to hone a knife.
Your clips are the best of restoration videos. Thanks a lot 🙏

Bruh my art teacher had one of these and all I could think was" man that would be a cool sword.
Your "little squeeze" of penetrating oil is the same as Gordon Ramsay's "touch" of Olive Oil..
"Two shots of vodk- penetrating oil"
My dad always told me you can never spray too much DETCO.
Ive always believed that if a can of WD-40 can't u stick something
Then the thing is hopeless
Or French cooking.. "A little butter" five empty cows later.. "bien!"
in texas we use WD-40
I’ve never seen this channel before. I bet this was recommended because I watch The Crafts Man and the algorithm said “we see you liked gloved hands”
Una herramienta bastante rara para usarlo en vez de un cuchillo, pero lo que importa aquí es que ha quedado espetacular, muy bonito, me gustó cómo quedó los soportes dorados, hasta parecen oro.
The end result was so beautiful!! I love watching your videos when I’m struggling bro sleep! The sounds and the way your take such care in restoring these items is truly magical! Thank you for all your work xxx
- How much you like sandblasting?
- Yes.
Was that a real question 😃
All the yes
You cracked me up when you said "I make a new one" I new right away the reference. Also I have never seen anyone sandblast wood before. That was really awesome! Great video as always
what's the reference?
@@samanawayadatta891 The channel "my mechanics", who collaborated with Tysy for this. It's his catchphrase.
@@yoshistar705connormiller9 Oh. Just started watching that channel 2 days ago. Thanks for the info.
I like the sandblasting part and would rate it 100/100

Your amazing!
Thanks! Will do!
Love how tysy didn't say anything about the handle mymechanics made. Just stroked it like "Ahh my precious..." lol

Wow! The size of that bread slicer is large enough to be a small sword! What a great job you did! As a part-time gunsmith, I'd love to post some of the old firearms restorations I've done, but TH-cam's policies on guns won't allow it because it shows me reassembling said firearms.
As Forged With Fire says: "It will cut". You did an outstanding job with the restoration. 👍🏻

I doubt very much it look that great when it was new. Some people were just born to be a little extra awesome. This is amazing. If you gave me all of his tools and all the time I wanted, there's no way I could make that happen. That is absolutely beautiful work.
