Light, airy and green are absolutely not how I would describe it. It is one of my most well recieved perfumes and for me it has good sillage and performance. To me there also is some vanillic-note that pushes through in the heart and base. I would recommend everyone to check it our for themselves :D
Yeah I don’t get green. Usually most green feeling fragrances push me away. I remember finding this sort of dark, sweet and interesting. Looking at buying a bottle. I do think it’s not what one would expect so you’re right, everyone should try it themselves
Not sure what Aaron was smelling here. This is a dusty-dry, dark masculine vanilla, minimalistic, austere and ethereal with a good measure of peppery incense. The grapefruit is barely detectable in the opening and I have no idea how anyone could associate the scent with anything green. The musks are not metallic either to my nose. Great performance, great scent.
I love this scent. Own it for 1.5 years. The ladies love it, but it's easily too much (oversprayed) because of the Incense. It also lasts forever (vanilla and incense).
It might be counter productive to your own business, but I think a video of your favourite fragrances so far (and perhaps of your least favourite) would be helpful to many.
I always sit on my forklift at lunch and watch your reviews. Voice is soothing and you have great taste in scents. Can’t wait for your review on the new Carolina Herrera bad boy le parfum. It’s nothing like the original bad boy but both are amazing.
I used to love all the sweet and fresh generic fragrances, but discovering This is Him! by Zadig & Voltaire has been a humbling experience. Over time, I realized I didn't want to smell like everyone else - I wanted something unique. Trying This is Him! was like a gateway to a new world, teaching me to appreciate distinct scents. People who dislike this fragrance might come to appreciate it eventually as their tastes evolve.
I understand this has contrast.. but I really enjoy this scent... it sat on my shelf unopened for months because I had a lot of other scents I was testing but I'm really enjoying it in the fall weather
I've been wearing this with Diptique Tam Dao EDP for a couple of winters now. The incense note stands out on me. This is Her is gorgeous. I always get compliment when I wear it
Green? Airy? Im not shure what you smell, is it a same edt.. On me its a little bit darky, vanilly, sweet too, winter fragrance.. And it last more then 8hrs.. It does have some musc fealling too.. Strong performer, with nice sillage..
I actually like This Is Him a lot. It seems that people are intrigued by this one. They are not complimening but rather ask what is it and then I hear "hmmmm" sound. I also like Just Rock, which is sweeter. I own them both but not wearing them so much because I need to loose weight so I can wear leather jacket which is a perfect match with these two.
I get the pepper and grapefruit in the opening which makes way for an incensy vanilla and it is rounded up by sandalwood. That's what the scent pyramid saysand also what my nose tells me.
I have this, I really like it, its a unique dry Vanilla and Sandalwood, almost a bourbon vanilla due the incense combination, something slightly boozy about it, the pepper opening is subdued, I didn't pick up on any green notes.
I have to say before Aaron gives his thoughts ... This is Him - unbelievable fragrance! Surprisingly 10/10 fragrance in my book. Wish it performs better, tried to find a similar scent with better performance but no luck. Green, airy, light? Hmmm ... for me, dark, sweet not to much, incense not too much
I like these reviews but I often do not recognize the fragrances in the description. This one is absolutely not light, airy and green for me. Very strange....
I finally got the sample first 2 min water from the olives after comes out the vanilla the dry is not too bad but it s defenetly something I wouldn t wear.Final thought I thing if you put balsamic vinagar and vanilla add some smocky too thats what you got!;)

This is a fragrance I don't like, even though I like most others from Nathalie Lorson, including Encre Noire Sport which I think is in a similar olfactive area (to me,) but this one goes further into what I'd call bugspray territory. Maybe it's that combination of incense and green what gives that bugsprayish aspect, at least on my skin and to my nose. Not for me.
@@AaronTerenceHughes WOW thank you for answering! any ideas of what it could be? And also is there such thing as a coral fragrance note? Like a synthetic one?

I was choosing between the two around Christmas but chose him instead. Wasn't feeling sweet stuff then but I can see where you're coming from. Do you like Prada black? They're very similar!
@@patrickbateman4541 Yeah, the sweetness is a little much depending on preferences. I've developed a love for dark, rich sweet scents over the years. I had the chance to smell Prada Black once a couple years ago. It was nice and I might have purchased it but seeing it all over the fragrance community so much made me procrastinate and now between Just Rock, Spicebomb Extreme, Pulse of the Night, Tobacco Vanille, etc already in my collection...it just sort of fell off my radar through no fault of its own.
@@Schatje79 Pulse of the night 👍 I feel like that's a designer version of interlude. At least on my skin it's super dark and tarry! Very hard to find a bottle of that.
Let me preface this by saying that I respect you not only as a perfumer and chemist but as a person. I don't mean this as an attack at all and you can feel free to call me ignorant because I am - hence this comment and question. I am interested in your scents but I worry slightly that "filth" means poo. I understand that fecal notes can add depth to frags but once I recognise it, it can stop me enjoying even the most tame of fragrances, e.g. bodyshop white musk. Is that what "filth" means when you say it? I understand it to also mean a sex/musk thing but depending on what one might personally associate with sex this could include fecal notes. Again apologies for the inherent offensiveness of this question but I am genuinely curious about your fragrance creations
Ofcause. Let me clarify. The Filth accord is a dark, sensual, musky, sweet accord ive developed. It gives my work a sensual, sexual feel to the fragrance. It does not smell dirty or of anything unpleasant.
