I've been waiting for this review. I love this house . Waiting for Just Rock review!
My ex used to love this fragrance, however I didn't like it back then. I gave it a try the past week and immediately fell in love. This fragrance now does what Bleu de Chanel EDT doesn't do anymore for me (probably got bored). It's soft, smooth, dark and mysterious while preserving that sweet undertone. A well-crafted scent with slight performance issues that is still capable to lure you. One of my best purchases so far.

I have zadig and voltaire Just Rock, and i can tell you this is an amazing fragrance, it also reminds me of nasomatto black afgano, in a more wearable way.
This is Him is an amazing scent, I heb been wearing it since it was released, but the Just Rock flanker smells even better, also love the bottles.

I use to wear this fragrance at business-seminars in autumn and winter-times since years now. It is awsome. The more handsome brother of "Just rock!" from the same house, which I use to wear in wintertimes in the office. When you like incence and vanilla , both of the brothers are a "must try"! The one more peppery the other more "tonkary". Both awsome!
My cousin has this, he let me try it last week, blew me away! lasted all day a smells like pure class!

Noice! I’ve been praising this one since last fall, one of my favorites! Interesting to see some hype built up in it this year, same with 3am lol but that’s cool. I can’t complain about performance, excellent for me (6 spays). I wore this a couple times on some of the milder days of summer and it worked great, I could see this being an excellent signature scent for the right individual ie; Trent Reznor. Definitely a dry, choppy vanilla, beautiful incense (probably my favorite in my collection next to Profumo) and I feel like the pepper riddled grapefruit stays for the majority of the wearing for me. Awesome to rock with a black leather jacket and jeans👖

@@alexg.9279 hi. No I think this scent is very well balanced. It’s definitely not overly sweet with vanilla and is more woodsy in the dry down than anything.

I really like this scent. One of my favorites in the collection. I bought this last year in a set with shower gel (50ml + 100ml gel) for ~25$. It's worth adding that co-creator of this is Nathalie Lorson.
She's a gem in the fragrance world.
How about the longevity? Is it stays the whole day?

It ist the bomb! In Germany at times you can find it for less than 40€/100ml incl. shipping. At that price point it becomes an absolute no-brainer (If you like that type of scent). I wonder why it is that much more expensive in the US...

I got it last week. I love it.
I am probably alone in this....I used to have this one and just rock for him. Both are very similar and to my nose, both smelled very synthetic to me and not for me as I swapped both. I LOVE incense as a note, btw
Bought this years ago in Italy and love it every winter.
A little curiosity: watch under the cap, mine says "rock".
Regarding the fragrance, I wished the grapefruit from the opening would have lasted a bit longer. Other than that I really dig it!!! To me, a pair of denim, boots and a leather jacket are the perfect match with it!!! Be careful with clothes: it lasts for a couple of weeks on them.
Until the end I agreed 100% The pricing is just right.. I mean c'mon some of the big designer fragrances (cough YSL) which smells great, does not have the performance like this. So if you have to re-apply La Nuit Del'Homme 3 times through the night, and This is Him only once? Which would you prefer?
Great bang for buck! Gives me similar vibes to Fan di Fendi (which does have leather) but I prefer this as the blend is smoother.

Logan Cohan sorry I’m not in US, I’m Vietnamese, and here in Hanoi there is a lot of perfume stores as well as online shop, and I bought from one of them, a Tester bottle of This is him, you know the fragrance community here like online forum or offline event so famous people in this community know each other, so I glad that I bought from one of them. So I don’t have to worry about fake fragrances, and also I always, always go to their shops if I can to see with my own eyes the fragrance and test it myself (even they only sell online but if they agree for me to come to their small shop I’ll go immediately) 😁👌 but this fragrance is amazing of course

Imagine in the middle east They are wearing these thick oriental fragrances even tho they live in desert areas :D. For me that normally just wears oriental, woody and gourmandy fragrances this is relatively light :D. Thanks to the pepper and grapefruit 👍👌

I used to love all the sweet and fresh generic fragrances, but discovering This is Him! by Zadig & Voltaire has been a humbling experience. Over time, I realized I didn't want to smell like everyone else - I wanted something unique. Trying This is Him! was like a gateway to a new world, teaching me to appreciate distinct scents. People who dislike this fragrance might come to appreciate it eventually as their tastes evolve.

Safe money and go for CK Shock. imo the nicest scent by far. All the other fall frags are too mainstream and overpriced. Or go ahead and pay 300 for your niche scent if you have too much money sure. Personally I pref to save that money and buy a nice Rolex, Patek or Cartier.

Loved this, but that dusty dry down you mentioned is not appealing, so i sold it. Also, this seemed to be more suited for someone in their teens/20’s.

When i first sprayed it it remindedme of Dino by Davidoff or Zino lol.

I think the scent is a 12/10, brilliant!
But the longevity on me is max 3 hours, pretty lousy. I don’t get the longevity compliments at all. It just goes flat on me. Maybe a batch variation issue?

Agreed. I’m in a vanilla mode. Trying to move away from my bulk of Tobacco and Tonka fragrances. Finally pulled to the trigger on Tobacco Vanille after my nose changed, and now appreciate the Vanilla. Also, Vanilla because projects like a beast on my skin.

Just a little idea: can you maybe grade the fragrances you review, like a number out of 10? In that manner, we know when you give a certain fragrance an X out 10 and we looooved it, the next time you give a grade >/= of X, we know what's up.

Timmy and Tommy. That’s funny. My younger son is Timmy and my older son’s roommate last year was Tommy, and his big brother had the same first name as my older son. Boring coincidence but noticeable. Hehe.
At first sniff I didn't like it very much. It's kind of cloying and too dry for me. After wearing a couple of days I start to like it more. It's very masculine and classy specialy inthe dry down. +9hr longivity on my skin with a moderate projection. I like it but it's not something that I crave to wear it too often.
Picked this up last month and to me it smells pretty similar to Bentley for Men Intense, but maybe that's just down to how Nathalie Lorson does incense.
On my country this is always around the 40€ range 100ml... But it's a frag that just doesn't go with me... Have tried it, gave it a chance but... Nop...
Out of the 60-70 frags I currently own ... This one is in the top five. That smokey vanilla is to freaking DIE for. Y live... XD sorry I had to after saying die for

The scent makes me think of pop rocks in soda. It also reminds me of like a rock concert kind of ambiance as well. Is it just me that gets that?... Very youthful (IMO).
I have Shalimar EDT and , even though it is not the same, I prefer the Guerlain over this

@@aliounendiaye5901 I ordered Just Rock the other day. Some reviews talk about it having a smoky incense note and some reviews say that it isnt smoky at all. Can you confirm whether there is some smokiness at all?
@@Miknoboes It's a little bit smokey and spicy but not overwelming. For me it's darker compared to the regular one. This is him have more freshness but the difference is quite small maybe in the begining but the dry downs are close. If you like Encre noire, I think you will like it. And the fragrance was composed by the same perfumer.

lol i never do 5/6 sprays, i always thought that was extreme. U make it sound like its normal :D.
I used to only do like 3, now I do 5 for pretty much every fragrance I have except for a few that are quite strong, I’ll do 4 for them. I find it much better. I can smell myself and get more compliments. Not that I care about compliments I wear it for myself for the most part.

If you have dry skin the parfum will evaporate quicker, that's why you need to spray more with lighter fragrances or should check out better lasting ones :). I personally also have dry skin and love zadig and voltaire but for me it is more of a summer, spring fragrance because the development on my skin, it's way to week for winter or autumn otherwise I would need to spray 10 or more sprays 😂😂and I think that doesn't really work well with the parfum, and also is a waste of parfum for me 😂

Which I never believed in this stuff until I kept getting compliments from people. I’m not an attractive guy but this is my most complimented out of 100 bottles. Performs super well on me

Have tried about four times now. Was initially intrigued by it, specially because one of the perfumers is Nathalie Lorson. But ultimately, once fully dried down, not for me. To my nose it gets quite too far into bugspray territory
