    Night, mornings... great music is just great music...
    In truth, i lie back in bed, set these guys on my phone, connect to the bose, and let it play...
    Strangly, i wake up, and the world isnt a cesspool anymore.
    Thank you The Paper Kites. God bless you in everything you do.
    And God bless all of you out there too.

    My favorite on the album. Its the soundtrack for a late night slow dance with someone who no longer loves you like they used to.

    I stumbled across these guys while surfing. I thank the cyber-space gods for leading me to them. I've been listening since 1954, absorbing since 1964, experimenting since 1974, understanding since 1984, expressing since 1994, learning since 2004, and opening my mind and heart since "The Paper Kites" appeared on my radar in 2014... When I stumbled... And fell into their Genius...

    This song is beautiful . To me it’s for someone who’s married that’s fallen for someone else . Too late to be with the right person . Relaxing , ambient , yet so painful at the same time .

    Magnetic, you're pulling me in with the words you don't say
    Cinematic, this chemistry coming through
    You're always in my head
    Branding your fire on my lips
    But this still won't work, no
    No love you have come too late
    No love you have come too late
    Such darkness
    But I know your face cause I learned it as if I was blind
    In the moment
    I feel like I am and I hate that I know it so well
    You're always in my head
    Searing your thoughts in to my skin
    But this still won't work, no

    Everyone says this is calming and relaxing while it feels quite lonely to me - painful.

    • @svsproductions1
      @svsproductions1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      Believe it or not it can be both. Its extremely painful but also calming and soothing. It allows me to realize and then release my emotions through the song. theres complete despair in the lyrics and his voice but not in a negative way more like therapeutic.

    • @SpicePrincess1890
      @SpicePrincess1890 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think the pain in this song is what makes it relaxing. It's a content, strange sort of 'relaxed' that comes with that sad, melancholy sort of feeling. The lyrics tell an incredibly sad and lonely story, but the beauty within it and the haunting way it's presented gives it a relaxing, "waiting for the rainstorm to end" sort of feeling. It's hard to fully explain.

    Such passionate voices, chords and lyrics. If my husband had written a song just before he took his own life, I feel like this would have been it. He thought I was leaving him and never gave me a chance to reassure him I would never, ever leave him. 😪💔

    To me this is two nights, a long time apart, at the same place in Chicago. One night was beautiful one night was sad. I was with the same person. We watched the windows. We made our own little stories. We felt for everyone we created...their lives in our minds. We were just like them. A flickering light in a vast city night, one life, lives, in a window for all to create a story as well. A beginning and an end. It started and finished in those windows when we never knew what we had. Those moments, they are fleating. Enjoy them. Enjoy them

    I have never played in a band. If I ever did, I would hope they sound as beautiful.
    I would love to see them live. Alberta or Vegas.
    The more I listen, the more I drift far away. Not easy for an old duff like me. Thnx.
