    I own JACANA Construction. We are a UK and Zambian registered company (part of Jacana Enterprises). Its important when choosing a company in Zambia to ensure that they are registered with either NCC or ABCEC so you know that they have been vetted and are complaint with government regulations. These associations will also act as arbitrators on your behalf if you run into difficulties. Its important to check that they are fully insured and and provide genuine guarantees on construction works for at least 5 years (in UK 10 years is standard). As mentioned in the video, don't just opt for the cheapest quote, look for the best value. Its important to really do your homework and have clear construction contracts in place.

    Very true indeed and this is exactly what lam doing. Thank you very much. Cheap can be expensive indeed. I would urge everyone who has purchased land to follow these steps. Exactly what l was looking for. Families will always want you to save money. But please don't to avoid future complications. Fantastic video indeed.

    Key takeaways for me are engaging a lawyer for the transfer process, and not being afraid to ask neighbors when looking for a contractor. Also, I love that you're honest enough to show that mistakes are made during production of your videos (bloopers), it's a nice little touch at the end😊
