as a russian, seeing anyone support p*tin, especially when they're not from russia and they have never experienced what it's like to live under his rule makes me incredibly furious. how dare anyone think that he's the "cool" one, the one in the right, make jokes about how great he is when there are literally thousands and millions of people losing their lives right now, *because* of him?? straight up unbelievable to me, super disappointing, i don't think there is any way to come back from something like that

Believe it or not, even in Poland we have politicians so deeply connected to oligarch’s money, they dear to claim that all that happened in Bucha was set up by Ukrainian. But they are idiots who also claim that woman is only good for cooking, sex an giving birth, and she should not be allowed to work or vote.

As a russian, this makes me sick. Living under p*tin’s dictatorship is literal hell. I’m severely depressed and have basically no hope for my future, like I literally accepted that my life is over before it started, I will never be free and actually living life because I can’t escape Russia since I don’t have a lot of money and, well, nobody is waiting for me elsewhere in the world. And even this doesn’t merely compare to what Ukrainians are going through right now, literally losing their lives, homes and loved ones. My relatives lost their home, jobs, all they had, and had to escape their own country, thankfully they are alive and not injured. All this because of P*tin. The fact that somebody can support this and joke about it literally makes me sick to my core. Thanks for speaking about this, I’m glad I never bought anything from ABH even though I’ve always been interested in the brand. Not anymore

The concept of the golden ratio dates back to Ancient Egypt and Greece. Leonardo da Vinci and other Italian Renaissance artists famously utilized it in their artwork. Growing up I had a vintage beauty book from the 60s/70s that applied this concept specifically to grooming your eyebrows as well.

I've been so disappointed watching beauty channels I love who claim to care about human rights continue to platform this brand after Anastasia's posts. This is a human rights crisis and she's making jokes on Instagram about it. It reminds me of when Kat Von D was repeatedly shown to have N**i paraphernalia and horrible anti-semitic "jokes" for shades in her brand, but people didn't want to cancel her until she came out as anti-vax. Her anti-vax statements were terrible, but I wanna know why celebrating human rights violations isn't equally worthy of cancellation?

For the same reason Tati Westbrook didn’t oust James Charles about being a ped0 until he signed a deal with sugarbear hair care at Coachella. Lime Crime was such an important trend setter. Doe Deere was problematic, but people need to go give her more credit for starting trends. LC was not just one of the first brands (if not the first) to focus on liquid lipsticks, they also started the warm/reddish eyeshadow palette trend with Venus. ABH simply copied LC. Same thing is happening with the current ABH palette, which rips off Venus 2 XL by LC.

i used to LOVEEEE everything ABH and then brands just came out with better products and as the company grew you kind of saw the downfall in the quality of their products. their brow products are amazing but i have a drugstore eyebrow product that does.. the exact same so that’s why i just stopped supporting the brand(repurchasing items). i’m also shocked that they still have an ongoing contract with rupauls drag race

I feel like I’m the only one who never really liked the abh eyeshadow formula. I don’t think the subculture forumla was THAT different from modern renaissance tbh. I find both to be way too softly pressed, too creamy in texture and the dark shades were too pigmented. I also found that one of their shimmer formulas (that was kinda duo chrome) got hard pan after the first use in both palettes. I kept buying their palettes bc they hade nice colour stories but found myself never using them bc of the formula.

He’s evil and a vile human being. I cannot believe ANYONE that has a brain in their head could support him 😡 I will NEVER buy another ABH product, ever. As partly Romanian when I first heard about Anastasia me and my mom were so happy that a Romanian woman created a make up brand that was so successful globally. I'm really disappointed about everything going on tho. For some reason there's lots of Romanians who openly support putin. Even ppl in my life, which is so sad if u think abt how Romania also had a bad dictator not too long ago. Which is the reason why so many Romanians left the country back then :/ it's also sad to hear how hateful they talk abt Ukrainians even tho they're so close to each other and there are even Ukrainian/Romanian minority groups in both countries.

I’m flabbergasted on why this isn’t more reported, and how influencers, who should know a bit better the ins and outs and gossips and dramas of the industry, stay silent about this. I’m still willing to give the benefit of the doubt, of course, because I consume loads of makeup content and this completely flew under my radar, so it could have happened to more people. I haven’t noticed any comments warning about this or anything… the same as with Make Up Revolution’s CEO being exposed as a r*cist…

Even if someone sells their company to another corporate entity or person, they are STILL benefiting from the company they built. And they are not selling a well established brand for cheap. They are selling brand recognition/ giving the people what they want in their removal of said individual. If a brand owner sells due to a loss of faith in their character as so deemed by the public, best believe they are still making bank, they are still benefiting . And likely the buyer and their team at the helm, are making said purchase, knowing that people will continue on with a brand they recognize and adore. As long as those deemed "Problematic" step down/ sell their biz. Etc. My point is and I have said this before, even though it's true we vote with our dollars and hold sway that way with the World 🌎 by our spending, we will never know the inner workings of the mind or who those people running a biz are in every single purchase we make! I have joked before for all we know another brand could be owned by a dexter type 😂 😱 Hope not but it's just an example. I am also not a fan of cancel culture and still use the products I own even if people suddenly find a reason to hate whomever is at the helm of a specific brand. Now I am completely against War. It's atrocious what's going on. But just was going on a long rant making points that YES those people STILL benefit A LOT. I just buy what I want from whatever brand I want. I think 🤔 it must take up alot of energy to constantly be canceling brands or people after researching the owners personal lives and feeds. I do understand why people want to use the info they do have and make an informed choice. Don't support Putin at all BTW. But all I am saying is, these people still benefit and I am against cancel culture in general. I get why some people stop buying certain peoples brands. But just imagine if you had to go through all the things a person had ever done in their lives, before making a purchase from a company or store they owned, with EVERY item you ever bought? 🤔 You would basically need something like a social credit score put in place. Then where does the judgement of brands stop? Just random food for thought. Super long comment 😂 Its just weird.. nowadays brands and companies owners are so heavily scrutinized, whereas with most other companies or years ago people just based their purchases on what was being sold and the products quality 🤔 Things have certainly changed with social media and peoples accessibility to follow brand owners or CEO's. Oh I am in Canada 🇨🇦 I smoked a bowl before this comment 😂 So, my apologies for any grammar issues and prattling on so long 😂
