Hey! I used final cut for editing but this was already my preferred software, an editing platform called seenit, Canva for content (my suggestion) and in terms of platforms Facebook workplace, LinkedIn and Insta!!

Can I ask what type of work you did on the external communications side? I may potentially be starting an internship this year in the field and my course is unrelated and I've also never worked in the field either so would love to know x

So it would usually be related to any social channels the business has, for example I’m now in charge of sourcing, writing and scheduling content for our channels, monitoring KPI’s etc. External can also be website management so updating info/ layout etc. It will probs have some elements of marketing is it is comms going out to customers so you’ll probs need to establish tone of voice, you may get to work on some campaigns too! hope that was helpful, ngl a lot of it ends up being common sense and creativity so you’ll ace it! X
Hey, I feel like with communications you can link it to most fields, so for me while I was studying criminology I volunteered on the committee creating marketing materials for our events- then in my final year I landed an internship in marketing that was actually linked to my course subject!
