The ArchBishop said the Altar was removed and burned. I think the entire church needs to be closed or burned down as well as the property needs to be sold.. Can anyone imagine stepping foot back into that church, (Even with a new Altar) knowing what took place there? That Altar, The Church and the entire property has been desecrated.

What seems to lacking in this issue is the state of the formation program for the seminaries. How many years was Clark in the program before ordination, and why were there no issues raised. He was in seminary from five to seven year, and that's a long time to either not observe the problem or to ignore it. This didn't just pop up like Topsy. There is massive failure in the seminaries because in many instances the staff is more concerned with ideologies than the sound training and development of good priests. Respectfully, the bishop needs to call in his formation team, and they need to provide answers.

My daughter went to PJPll highschool. It was the worst 4 years of her life. She was bullied by 6 girls who drank alcohol and slept around and their goody goody parents did nothing. The principal did nothing about the bullying. This school is Catholic in name only. One young married handsome coach had an affair with one of the teenage girls and the school didn't fire him because he was producing wins and championships.

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. Anyway, why do you have to let it happened for 4 years? Someone said my daughter "nasty" and I went to her school the next day to see the principal. It was public school. The principal call that boy the next day. Anyway I still moved my daughter to Catholic school after that because they seem to be more focus on academic. So far so good, but if there is something weird happened, I will not be quiet. I also said to my daughter to defend herself, if she hit somebody who bullied her, I will be there for her. As long as she did the right thing I will be at her side. And it doesn't matter which school she's in. We all know that bully is everywhere, kids should learn how to defend themselves.
I went to the police and reported them. The girls were given a slap on the wrist. They still snickered and were ugly behind her back. After that, the principal didn't believe my daughter and said that there must be some kind of miscommunication. The ugly girls denied any wrong doing. I should have pressed charges against them. We had witnesses. We didn't press charges and I regret that. After a very angry confrontation with other parents, the bullying stepped. The principal was an absolutely unqualified person for the job. The other parents were very wealthy and gave a lot of money to the school, so, that is why I believe she didn't do her job.....she didn't do the right things to appropriately discipline those horrible girls. My daughter, to this day, 14 years later, still suffers from depression and anxiety , and self esteem issues from the horrific treatment she got at PJP ll highschool in Slidell,
Louisiana. In the beginning, I didn't know what all was going on. You know, sometimes kids hide things from there parents. Our parish priest is the one who said not to press charges. I pray every day for my daughter to heal.

The vatican needs to be pro active in suspending these bishops. Too often, as this case, allegations run for years in a diocese. Then investigations are time consuming. Then the Bishop ages out and retires.

Why, I am not catholic therefore I believe that priest hould be aloud to marry. If this was his thing that's his problem but to have sex on a church alter or in a church speaks of devil's play to me. If you think the altar is just a "piece of wood you put a plate and cup on," then you need to a refresher course on theology. It is where the hosts are consecrated, where the Body of Christ is placed. It is a big deal. So, shame on you for undermining it. All of it--from the abuse to this--is bad. Let's not pretend this wasn't disgusting as well just because it was done by consenting adults. The act of desecration is degrading, repulsive, and as equally demonic as the abuse of children.
Why are people making a big deal about this? Because it should be made into a big deal. The Church is constantly being attacked from within. And the moment this came to light all the other abuses came to light to boot. If the "priest" hadn't been exposed, none of the other abuses would have been exposed either.
