- Hello friends this video will show you how to change the link rod assembly in a Maruti swift car. Link rod when goes bad makes a lot of noise when driving under bad roads and hence a change is necessary periodically. I hope this video helps.

Great explanation and very helpful except cars have frames instead of chassis, means cars don't have chassis and instead have frames which are like chassis for cars :)

sound only in patch roads or?in my case while cruising i can feel that knock knock sound from left side suspension and i can feel that knock knock in steering also by a little. . could this be the problem or?
Vignesh Vee cant say that without having a proper look. What you can do is check if there is any sound when steering the car in idle, also if there is a sound fron the steering it could be the steering rack. Also, do check your LHS wheel bearing for noise in normal cruising conditions.
i think the problem is tie rod. .because tie rod can transmit the sound into steering right?

What if any car don't have this steblizer bar. I have bought used car and just know that my car is missing this whole thing . No steblizer bar no z links.
Cars like the maruti alto 800, alto k10 does not have it. But now, almost all the cars have it. The link rods are for extra cushioning.

my swift makes a knocking noise in the front on rough roads, could this be the problem? On speed humps I don't get the noise.
Paul Turner it could be due to suspension link or also the arm ball joints, the steering ends. These three are the parts.

@@abhishekrauthan2231 In my case it was the caliper pins. They were greased and put back. It keeps them quite a while. They can also be replaced. This is a common problem with Suzuki swift.
While im turn left or right theres a noise and in slow speed also a noise wt is the problem sir.. swift diesel
The noise which comes while turning left or right is from the drive shaft. The sound which comes in slow speed is hard to identify without listening to it. I hope it helps!

You should check the drive shaft boot first, if it gets too loose it will cause serious problems

@@Autokraze what do you think about when I push the brake a little then turn right then i will hear a " tok" sound. do you think its the sway bar link?
@@danelectr If the sound comes only when you steer either left or right then it's the drive shaft. If it comes only when applying the brakes without any steering input then it should be from the brake pads or caliper pins. Sway bar sound will come non stop while driving over patchy roads. I hope this helps
