Hey Kevin & co . Awesome footage as per the usual . Not sure about the specifics relating to sun- burn and skin cancer , but here in Australia , I ALWAYS don a hat when outside . Even if there is cloud cover , the rays still get through . I've got a clean head like 8S Steve and occasionally wear a sombrero . Although I would prefer to be wearing a baseball cap , in certain instances I will be wearing a big straw hat with a wide 360 degree brim . Cheers mate 👍

Come on Kev, with all of the modifications you do to suspensions, steering, and ESC/motors to make tougher and faster, splurge and get yourself some better radio equipment and let us know how that does for the bashing and crawling. Can you also do some on and off road racing cars. You do like speed, that's one of the reasons why I subscribed when I found your videos on TH-cam. Keep up the entertaining work on different vehicles. You are making me want a bunch of different vehicles

Kevin your absolutely correct on the thought of keeping it stock. all the newer (last 2 to 3 years) manufacturing process has been including a double cool down cycle (aka heat tempering). The plastics on the xmaxx and most xxl scale, with Abs /petg / high temp plastics material is heat treated way longer than of previous process. I believe its a slow cool down after injection molding, and then raised temp back up gradually, right as it reachs a set low cool down temp, and then a slow cool again, with one more cycle repeated before bringing to finish. Abs/Pla/Petg bonds at a smaller atomic structure when tempered that way. allows for more twisting and sudden high impact pressure. Keep the plastics stock, and they will surprisingly last way longer (with anything released within last 2 - 2 1/2 yrs. Chassis off course reinforced always, and key pieces to metal you already know, youve experienced all the breaks at weakpoints, but for the most part. Stock handles bashing well. I keep my basher Wltoys A979 bone stock except for shocks and chassis. The tempering process has been trickling down the chain, as its becoming more commonly adopted, even chinese manufacturers are adopting the dual stage tempering method. Compared to 10 yrs back. I still remember my worst experience of crappy plastics with a 1/18th Xtm Rage. It would snap A-arms on just a simple low speed bump against a curb, barely sideways. Lol.
