    Yep... They should make this stuff out of stainless... But then it would last longer ! I just used this machine last week in all the snow we just had.. It worked great!

    Thats your best bet,taking the whole shaft out and check those bearings that the rod sits in. They usually are not too bad to get back in if you do it right. I have done at least a hundred of those . Lightly grease that rod,be careful not to get too much . If it gets on the friction plate or wheel,your going to know it! lol.

    I watched another video where are they polished shaft while it was still inside.
    I think it would be worth it to go buy a small tool, even a cheap dremel lookalike or small grinder.
    WAY, WAY easier!

      romansten9 A small abrasive grinding pad is what you need on those. You dont need a grinder and would even recommend it anyways. I get plenty of those units in that sat around for a few years,guys push them out by the road,thinking they are junk. One mans junk is my extra spending money

    Would this cause the blower to keep moving after the lever it lifted?

      Possibly if the lever isn't disengaging as it's supposed to.
