Shinano uses Aichi B7A Ryusei in both her first and third slot with Nakajima J5N Tenrai in the middle slot. Implacable also uses the Ryuusei in the second and third slot, accompanied by Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-6. Amagi has Tenrai, Ryuusei and Junkers Ju-87 D-4, respectively.
The folks over at AL EN Community Tier List Discord have a preliminary rating of Tier 0 (not EX) for this ship...yeah, the same as Volga and Saratoga. Are they collectively out of their minds?
No, because if a CV is ONLY a DPS, even if she has incredibly high DPS, she's T0. CVs get TEX based mostly on utility, not damage. As an example, Enterprise still has the ability to out-DPS URs with her skill, but has no utility whatsoever, it's also why she's essentially the gatekeeper of TEX. Amagi only buffs Sakura torpedoes and nothing else, she has no utility, only damage, meaning she doesn't qualify for TEX.
@@Latias4Ever Several BBs are in EX entirely because of their damage. Implacable and Nakhimov are mostly in EX for damage. Amagi also has debuffs, right?
@@DrewBoivie Yes because BBs are more centred around damage than utility, whereas CVs are the other way around. And even then, the majority of the UR BBs have their own sets of buffs on allies and debuffs on enemies (Vanguard's permanent damage taken debuff on enemies, Soyuz's slow on enemies and buff to NP ships, various Armour Breaks from NJ or Musashi, and so on). And no, Implacable and Nakhimov are not EX because of damage. They're in EX because they quite literally stop enemies, in addition to dealing damage. Both have a freeze effect on their airstrikes, and that is also why AvP is T0, she doesn't deal a lot of damage, but her slow is the best after Implacable's. Amagi's debuffs are really middling since it's only 6% of enemies' stats, not even something like increasing the damage they take like Vanguard's debuff. Nakhimov has a similar debuff, she makes enemies take more damage when she launches an airstrike.
@@Latias4Ever Yeah, at the end of the day its just about what a player or group chooses to prioritize. They're going to have Eldridge Retrofit T1 because although its an absolute hard carry in some places and better than anything else...its not the places that group has decided to care about. Personally, I generally take a BB/CV 90% for its damage (Vanguard, for all its utility and buffs IMO doesn't make the cut anymore because its secondary offerings pull less weight in the things I do than just having another BB that does 2x as much damage). I guess healer CVs and support fleets are the exception.
Both Jintsuu META and Unzen are using the 533mm Mark 35 Torpedo Mount, an Eagle Union torpedo that can be crafted from the 533mm Quadruple Torpedo Mount Mk. 17 via the Gearlab.
