i cant leave this video sight in all honesty, without saying absolute wonderfull photoigraphy .My father was a photragrafer and taught me to appreciate scenes like these! Done by a pro!
I am retired, and spend my time volunteering at various different things. I have an extensive HD video collection of CP2816 from her 2006 & 2008 Fall trips, 2007 Medicine Hat, + other local runs in 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2010 . (I've got SD from 2005). I'm slowly processing all of the video I have (Yes my girlfriend complains about how much time I spend on the computer!). Anyway .. Much more video to come. Thanks for your comment - Thank Sharlene. Enjoy!
Steam is something you don't see in this part of Canada (eastern Ontario) Thanks for helping us live a railway life we never experienced. Here in Kingston, restoration of '1095', a 4-6-0 D10, is underway. Sadly, it will never be operable again. 1095 was built here in Kingston at the Canadian Locomotive Company(CLC) in 1913. I'd love to hear those 'F' Units under power.
@Railrodder Thanks for the comment. Yes things of beauty don't exist anymore - that's why I'm uploading my CP2816 footage for people to experience steam. Can you let your Eastern Canada friends rail know where to find my stuff.... Especially the teenagers! Thanks, a lot more to follow. Enjoy!
KingDaKa 115GX As it turns out, the whistle next to the stack is the only air-actuated whistle. The whistle just ahead of the cab is a rope-pulled whistle.
Yay it too bad Hunter Harrison keeps 2816 "caged up". I imagine when her 1472 expires (I think 2016) he won't renew it. The higher pitch whistle sounds like 261's steam horn. It might be, since it also has some of the Friend's of 261's cars. Maybe 2816 was borrowing them in while 261 was under overhaul.
@Lucas Cain she was recently steamed up and moved under her own power, but sadly didn't leave the railyard. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
what a train what a beauty the locomotive is

What a cool way to spend a few days, go train chasing.
@CP2816HD Will do!
Too bad the CEO of CP doesn't care about steam, would love to go up north to see her.
