The aircraft carrier Vikrant has been built for 20 years and is finally in service!

Design work on the Vikrant began in 1999, the keel was laid on 28 February 2009, and it was first moved out of the sea from dry dock on 29 December 2011. The Indian Navy said it also conducted extensive user acceptance tests when it completed its fourth and final sea trial between August 2021 and July 2022. The Indian-built aircraft carrier will enter the navy on August 15 to mark the 75th anniversary of India's independence. This will cement India's position in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) and its pursuit of a blue water navy.
