    I remember I followed Dr Tay's article on Bali some 12 years ago I think and it was spot on. Great to see this TH-cam channel. I'm pleasantly surprised!

    Dr. Leslie and Lisa did an excellent job. They sincerely introduced us to nice local food, revealing a lot of hidden gems that we were not aware of in Singapore. Dr. Leslie is a true food lover. His enthusiasm extends to talking to fishmongers to find the origin of the fish. I can't differentiate between Batang, Tapan, or mackerel, but Dr. Leslie wrote an article explaining it clearly with pictures. I came to know the Tapan is Korean Seerfish. He even mentioned that the best batang fish is from Sulawesi. Impressive! A real foodie who is very particular about the ingredients of their food, he know what is best."

      Awww… this really made my day James! Don’t know how many people read the fish files but knowing that you learnt something from it, made it all worth it!

    Wow, there are so many amazing food gems in the area! 😍 It brings back memories of the fantastic places I used to visit when I worked near Fort Road back in 2010. Can't wait to explore and relive those delicious moments again! 🤤

    Thank Dr Leslie Tay for always finding good “ Lobangs “ for our makan experience. In fact found most of your introduction quite good. Your Dakota episode was not being giving a good clarity of the prices. You mentioned everything that were reasonable but LEFT OUT THE REALLY EXPENSIVE ITEM - BOTAN PRAWNS. We went there to get a shock of our life. Hope you can be more realistic to give us all pricing or not at all ( for us to discover ). Thank you.

    • @ieatishootipost
      @ieatishootipost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah! Sorry about that. We usually do give more details when we are reviewing restaurants individually. The Botan prawns is expensive but I checked with my Japanese Chef friends who tell me that $25 for live Botan prawns is actually very good! I have added a note at the bottom of the post to alert people to this.

    One order of dim sum is $4.50? I am from Canada and from all the food videos I saw, less than $4.50 can get you a plate of Hainanese chicken rice or laksa.

      Yes indeed. They were good enough to sponsor the making of the video. We had the freedom to decide which eatery to include in the food trail, so there is no conflict of interest.
