- How to plant all 3 herbs in one 5 gallon container. You can plant perennial herb transplants in the Fall. They will die back but will establish a strong root system and bring you lush new growth come spring. If you can't find fall herb transplants... you can also use this container planting method in the spring.

Its a great perennial.
Usually get about -20 here in British Columbia. I’m growing my first herbs this year! So hopefully when it comes to fall and I move them indoor they will live for next year. I got sage, thyme, and rosemary.
They are hardy. Rosemary might struggle. Good luck

Great video - wonder if the plastic bag would suffice for temperatures below 0 degrees ? Or would it be better to bring these plants indoors

You can try jute sacks
Do you cut down any of your thyme while its still in the seeding pot mines are in 3 and 4 inch pots and they're getting pretty long I didnt know if you're suppose to cut them or just let them keep growing
Yeah I do cut it back.

Any tips on getting thyme (wild thyme) to germinate from seed? So far it’s the only one not coming up.

What about Dill ?
Its an annual. So cold freeze kills it off

You definitely do NOT want to put all three of those in the same 5 gallon pot together. The thyme and oregano will choke out the sage in a few months.
I never had that problem but good to be aware of that

Hi Garry could we do the same thing with basil and flowers inside the house.
Yes but it is more of a challenge and if you use outside soil, often bugs come in.
