This is the first part of a short film about Deep Rock Galactic, there will be two more parts, if you care, of course.
Deep Rock Galactic has become one of my favorite games, with very untapped potential in the universe. And I wanted to bring one of the stories to the DRG.
This game deserves more attention from the animation side.
With these thoughts I started making this cartoon. And now, 6 months later it is finished.

I don’t know if DRG has a real competitor in Helldivers 2, but I still love our game, and if this video has at least some response, I will make a second and third part and finish this story. People love humor, I love humor, so why not continue?

Fun fact: infected dreadnought was on a official art of the third season

They have a better immune system especially since they just escaped the egg,@DarkMegaPlague
Disappointed that having lithophage outbreak on an elimination mission doesn't mean there is a chance for the glyphid cocoons to be infected meaning that a terrifying rockpox dreadnought grew inside

I am amazed by the originality of this animation, because it's never the same for more than 30 seconds ! There's always something to make me jump on my seat, or laugh uncontrollably because of the references!

Portal music fits so well during swarms, I love the Mel reference using Virgil as the core, and the animation ideas fights and dwarf personalities were excellent!

thanks! For the main 2D animation I used Adobe Animate, the 3D parts were done in Source Filmmaker and Blender

A portal and DRG fan is the basest of based. Just a lore fact: dwarves dont use scopes or sights of any kinds, however I still loved the PGL fallout aim thing. Also these kinds of DRG animations which I can only referense as skitzofrenic are the best.
