Skiing Main Chute (Baldy Chutes) at Alta Ski Area - Spring 2022

- Main Chute at Alta Ski Area is one of Alta's two most famous runs, the other being Alf's High Rustler or High Boy as the cool kids call it. Main Chute is one of several "Baldy Chutes" accessed by boot backing and walking or skinning up from the Sugarloaf Lift side, or boot packing up Baldy Shoulder above the Wildcat Lift.
In this video the resort has been closed for the season for a few weeks. In order to access Main Chute my ski buddy and I skinned from the lower parking lot to the top of Mount Baldy, 11,063 feet. Total vertical climb from the lot was about 2500 feet. Conditions were quite good. The warmer temperatures had softened much of the snow, mostly on skier's left. A few patches of ice were still on skier's right so caution was necessary. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

@@TonyKorologos I wonder how close we were to running into each other! If you look on my channel I have a run on the 22nd as well and I assume we did this run within a couple hours of each other.
@@TonyKorologos Actually the more I'm looking at my video I think it was you and your buddy that I followed and then talked with at the top. How odd to get this video recommended to me.
@@dandym8 According to the exif data in my photos, I came down main chute around 2:15. Ate lunch at the top probably around 1:45-2:10.
@@dandym8 Were you guys chilling out on the East Baldy Traverse when I came by? Then you followed us up the booter?
