Many thanks to Lee for this wonderful film of times gone by. A lot of my childhood was spent visiting my grandparents at Bexleyheath. For all I know grandma may have been in the film. Lots of scenes I personally remember seeing for myself. 3 cheers from Trevor in Sevenoaks
I visit all these places in Kent, If you look they are all still sign posted as Kent- Still has a Kent postcode and is also in Kent map book- And also you still see the symbol of Kent on the sign of White Horse which is included on the councils coat of arms

A correction if I may , the "Crayford" 'manic' street scene is actually Welling Corner, you can see it's Wickham lane, with the bank on the corner and just up toward Bellegrove Road, Woolworths and Grey's radios. On the opposite side is estate agents 'Hummerstone and Hawkins' on the corner of the High St and where I was born....Danson Crescent. After the several unnaturally fast (speeded up) shots of Welling corner comes into view Crayford and it's small clocktower. The colour scenes of Welling with the white signs just precedes the making of Hook Lane left turn only!
That junction in Crayford look manic! how busy was crayford! Erith looked beautiful back then.

1.15 How could they pull down these beautiful buildings on the left, in Pier Road? Look at the roofs, they were wonderful.

mikey p It’s not in Kent we vote for the Mayor of London we are in a London Borough we left Kent in 1965 people still struggle to understand this
@@Sxm_8 Many London boroughs sprawled out because of the population explosion post war.
They ain't Kent. Not postally (check on the Royal Mail address and postcode finder website), geographically, or adminstratively.
