Cute is actually something our brain can't compute. That's why we squeeze and bite cute things our brain says destroy but motherly instincts kick in. Lol.
Never in my life have I seen or heard of a racoon dog, I thought it was a type of badger at first. It's incredible what mother nature produces. I'm definitely gonna do some reasherching about these creatures
I know! I found out about them when I was in middle school. Loved them so much I made a stuffed animal version. ( I made sure it wasn't made of their fur)
Here in Japan, they're called Tanuki. (Raccoon Dog, though more related to foxes than actual raccoons from what I read). Floofy things, saw a video of one in another area that stole a person's shoe, it was hilarious.
I thought it was awesome that this family came all the way to see Lisa. She gave the girls something. Frankie is such a good mom to her puppies. Betty, I am glad Greyhound rescue got her. Chris was able to rehilbilatate her to were she was adopted to a loving home.

I love your show, it is amazing! The fact you help so many animals and we get to see them. The Raccoon dog was just amazing. Please please never end this show, it is for all ages and such good quality.
If your beautiful fox is non releasable, then it's not necessary to make her become more wild. She could be an ambassador animal for public education or even just a beloved pet. Foxes aren't entirely solitary. They keep their mates year round.
@@charonstyxferryman Why? If she's living in captivity, it's in her best interests if she's happy in captivity, and she'll be happier if she sees humans as friends she can trust. Why would you prioritize making other people think she's wild over her own well-being? Just explain that she's a special circumstance.
@@ettinakitten5047 I'm sure she is perfectly healthy while in captivity, but the fox needs to retain their wild instincts which will help them develop their senses and become more independent. Whether or not she is a special circumstance, foxes aren't meant to be living with humans. Also the fox lives near the forest, even though she is living in captivity there is nothing stopping her from getting out and exploring the area. The people can't keep her under watch 24/7 and that is why she needs to be more wild in case she does need to defend herself if she ever does venture beyond the sanctuary.
THIS has been unbelievably inspiring and awesome and interesting and educational and humbling and such a blessing and amazing and also sad experience. I'm totally in awe and have learned such a lot and always such a gift to me. Thank you soooo much all at bondi vet and these precious creatures and wonderful parents of them be blessed all🤗🐾🤗
The case of the beautiful fox "Red" makes me wonder though: Considering that she can never be set "free" again, is no human contact really what's best for her? I don't want to start a big argument here but would Red be happier net-net if she had continued contact with the 2 humans she knows and trusts? Not suggesting they try to make her a pet dog that you can walk on a leash, just trying to make the best of what's a suboptimal situation for her. Some wild zoo animals have close relationships with caretakers and benefit from them.
I was feeling the same. If they are going to have her fixed and caged, I don't see the point. If she was enjoying cuddles and seeking it out, why deny her. It's not like they were forcing attention on her. In her wildlife she would have bred and raised kits, she wouldn't have been alone all of the time. In the US the red fox stays and helps raise the young. So solitary animals? Not sure about that. It is sad
Foxes do have contact with other foxes in the wild so it's not a completely solitary existence. I agree they should have a relationship with her since she'll never be freed. It's what happens in other places with wild animals. No reason it can't happen with Red.
Theres no reason for her to breed when foxes aren't endangered, so they desexed her to prevent cancer. Whoever attempted to release her first time didnt account for her being handraised and not knowing how to forage or nest. She wasn't taught how by another fox so she's confused. Maybe if they find another fox red can learn to be wild and be released then. They're doing the best they can for her overall health with the assumption she will never be either completely free npr tame.
With the SECOND puppy (the first female) the little smallest one, Frankie is most likely more protective because she might be a little runt, even if she is healthy. Shes very good for a first time mom! The first little ones look exactly like my dapple boy (he’s about 4 years old now) they are so beautiful!
Dr. Losa thank you for taking time to see those little girls. By doing that you encouraged them to work harder at school, hopefully, and maybe one day they will be a vet like you ❤
@@CostaWanti But we know today that foxes are not that solitary. Their social structure is complex and can vary, but they do live sometimes in familygroups. So I agree with C C that it would be good for Red to have at least some contact to other foxes.
@@c.h.9223 I agree. In the wild there would be interactions with other animals, not close relationships, but interactions, matings even if they come and go. I don't know much about the lives of foxes, but a life in the wild would not be one of such isolation. This is one instance where I think a Bondi vet got it wrong.
I was looking for this type of comment. It's a kind thought for Red to stay "wild", but at the end of the day she wasn't able to survive in the wild and as a captive animal she does need socialization and love. What good is it to have a wild animal that'll never be released? Red relies on humans to survive they should get her used to them. She'll be far less stressed out if they need to take her anywhere or simply take her out of her enclosure.
Betty is beautiful! What a heart warming story. Lisa those little girls could have no better perso to look up to and want to be like when the get big. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤ from Kansas USA

0:38 My reaction was just, "OH! TANUKI!" Which is also known as the Raccoon Dog, although related more to foxes, last I read, than actual raccoons or dogs.....Lol. We have them here in Japan.
thank you Scott! You provide education and information that give viewers understanding and respect for all the creature you bring us. I have seen Brother Fox in my urban area on two occasions trotting back to their bolt with a rat. So many myths about foxes, it is estimated that some urban foxes can have over 100 encounters with cats during a night that are benign. Neither animal has any reason to tangle, evolution has taught them otherwise. I have seen videos of foxes fleeing gardens when a cat is let out, a fox feeding with a hedgehog at a feeder because there is no competition for food. Please support efforts to supply mange medication through bait to foxes talking to local wild life resources. A forest ranger once told me our majestic forests (the ones we are not busy cutting down) are there because everything that falls to the ground provides the nutrition and soil quality necessary. Nature recycles, humans create landfills.
Sadly... I live in a urban area, but I love our ravines where you can see foxes, deer and other animals. Granted we don't see a lot of wildlife, but when we do it's awesome. I'm glad the ravines I live by aren't being filled in and putting more houses!
My grandma and her vet arranged for her to be supplied mange medication for her "dog" so that she could treat the fox in her garden. That fox now brings it's young into her garden for little treats before they go hunting in the adjacent field.

I live in the most heavily populated Fox town in the UK, its Bournemouth in case anyone was wondering and Scott is correct when he he says they are far more common in urban areas than the countryside . I see multiple Foxes a day, especially in the evenings, never had issues with any of the foxes but my rabbits are strictly inside rabbits and they will remain that way. They are my babies and it's just not safe for them outside in the area i live.
Was I the only one that yelled "tenrec!" at the screen. I love that we never know what animal we're going to see on here. That greyhound was so gentle, I'm glad she got a great home where she can be a dog and just be happy, healthy, and safe. The dog racing (and horse racing) industries have such a cruel side people either don't know about or don't care as they take pleasure in the gambling. Maybe in the future I'll look into adopting a retired greyhound. I need to do plenty of research into the breed and their needs first.
It’s serious but Betty rubbing up on the door and falling over gave me a good laugh, it just is such a cute dog thing that could have been stopped if the door what shut 😂
This was a great video ❤I'm so happy the greyhound went to such an awesome family. Dog-racing is against the law here and thank the Lord for that, these pups are worth so much more than to be tossed aside if they can't destroy themselves on a track for human pleasure.

I volunteer for an animal rescue and welfare charity in the UK. Our fosterers are our life blood and we would be nowhere without them. I’m not in a position to foster but I know from talking to the fosterers we have that they love what they do. They see themselves as being part of the animal’s journey on to their forever home and while they do sometimes get sad saying goodbye, it opens up space for another animal that needs them. If you’re really not in a position to foster (and most of us aren’t), are you able to volunteer in other ways for an animal charity? There are so many different things you can do which matter so much!!!
@@1ay1aslife I have adopted, a dog who was clearly abused. She’s a funny little thing and has SO many quirks, but we love her. We’ve had her for about 8 years now and about 6 months ago she finally let my husband touch her, she still barks at him when he comes through the door though. She will now jump up in his lap and sometimes wants to sleep with him, but it took years to get that far.
Animals quite often eat the placenta, mainly for 2 reasons. 1) To get rid of the smell of blood and flesh to avoid attracting predators to find a vulnerable mother and babies. 2) To help gain back some much needed nutrients and proteins that the mother has been depleted of while pregnant.
When are we going to see some all new shows? Everything that's come out lately has been compilations. I love Bondi Vet and Vet On The Hill and have seen each episode numerous times, both as its own show and in compilations.
Frankie is so adorable, and so are her pups! I have a male doxie, and he's had a litter of pups, he bread with my sister's terrier mix on accident (I kept telling them we needed to get one of them desexed, I was staying there while I was dealing with getting my disability dealt with), and none of his pups came out in black and tan! We had three brindled, two golden and white, a brindle and white, a golden, and a little brown boy with a black stripe straight down his spine! They all had the long legs of the mum! And then we kept two of the puppies, and the little girl got pregnant by a neighbour dog (again I had insisted that we get all the dogs fixed! I had no income yet because disability was in the works), and she had three puppies and one little girl came out looking like my male doxie! So we had a little black and tan girl, and she was such a sweet puppy. One of the neighbours ended up taking her once I had her weaned. I was the puppy nanny. I still have my doxie, he's a sweet heart and he's my support dog for my anxiety and ptsd.
@@EarthlingCanine I. Had. No. Money. I was filing for disability and was living with my dad's family, which was him, step-mum, and two adult sisters (20 and 26) who both worked, and the dogs that got pregnant were THEIR DOGS. Not mine. Theirs. I told them it would be better to get them desexed, but I had ZERO say in the finances because I was disabled and filing for my benefits.
@@kariechaos5382 responsibility is not about desexing. As a matter of fact desexing can often be considered irrisponsible. It's about keeping the dog supervised and tethered, and crating when not supervised and properly training the dog. Ethical breeders do fine keeping their dogs from breeding when not wanted, every dog owner should be able to do so without issues. If you can't keep your dog contained (or in this case them and their dog) then you (or they) should not have the dog(s) period. YOU should have kept YOUR MALE DOG contained or tethered and supervised if you were concerned in the slightest about any possibility of pregnancy. Again, it's not about desexing, it's about containment, supervision, and training.
Don’t listen to those who criticize. They’ve been lucky enough to be healthy and work. They have no,idea what life can throw at you. When my disability hit… severe multiple neurological and autoimmune disorders after contracting bacterial meningitis, I had to take disability here in the US. It took several years…Social security 2 and the disability insurance 5…I had to sue them. I was so ill ended up settling fir 1/4 of what they owed and the lawyer took a third. I was the heavy duty bread winner. We had to file for bankruptcy at 50. Fortunately our two dogs had already been fixed and were healthy…otherwise would have been more of a nightmare. I’m so glad you received your disability.

Frankie is so adorable. Love the classic colors. I prefer the black/red or solid red doxies. They are hard to find anymore. All you see are the dapples and piebalds.
I see a lot of black and tan Dachshunds around where I live in Sydney. But we have a long-haired shaded red Dachshund ☺️People are always so surprised to learn that there are long haired Dachshunds. They often think she’s a mixed breed.
Why do they want Red to be more wild if she's going to live in captivity? If she wants cuddles, let her have cuddles! She's not meant to live in isolation for the rest of her life. Tanuki are so cute! It's nice to see a pair of them being nice and happy and healthy. Omg, I guessed that was a tenrec!
That's what I was thinking. Why do they have to reduce contact and make her more wild if she is never going to be released. If a fox like that wanted cuddles from me, I would feel wrong not to. It's had such a tough life and it's grown attached, why do they need to unattach themselves?
So is Frankie a dachshund? They are SUCH beautiful babies and it’s great that they all seemed very healthy! What many people do is get a kitty pool and make a nest in there give them puppy pads the food and the water and mostly leave them alone, so that’s what I would personally recommend. Edit: forgot to mention getting an incubator so in case the momma needs a break, the puppies aren’t warm enough, or they need help with digestion, and at a young age they can’t regulate there body heat yet
+Kim Denny Yes she's a Miniature Smooth (shorthaired) Dachshund. Don't need an incubator, just get a kiddie pool, put puppy pads on one end and a blanket with a heating pad underneath it on the other end that way if they get too hot they can crawl away from the heating pad and if they get too cold they can crawl back on it.
I agree, Lily. This fox wasn't able to make it on her own. Now she is spayed and she is pet. Clearly, she loves affection, just like you and I do. I believe she will have it, because her human companions truly love her.
@@charonstyxferryman Also, since she was an orphaned cub, she likely never developed a good immune system. Animals get their initial antibodies from the first several feeds from mom. Too much interaction between her and other animals, including humans, could get her sick or even kill her. Wild animals should stay wild, and this is the best way to let her lead a full and fulfilling life.
Lots of people have fox for pets, you can pet them. That’s cruel to take them from the wild, fix them, cage them and then give them no affection! In the wild they would have mates and babies.
@@EarthlingCanine I think the person meant that greyhound dog because that dog’s name is Betty. The dachshund’s name is Frankie so no it’s probably not her owner. He/she/they likely meant the people who had treated Betty.

When I see baby animals. I either bite my self (thanks to cute aggression )🤣 or start crying.
It's a tanuki
I know! I found out about them when I was in middle school. Loved them so much I made a stuffed animal version. ( I made sure it wasn't made of their fur)
Here in Japan, they're called Tanuki. (Raccoon Dog, though more related to foxes than actual raccoons from what I read).
Floofy things, saw a video of one in another area that stole a person's shoe, it was hilarious.
fun fact: Tom Nook from Animal Crossing is a tanuki! Though the english version of this game refers to him as a racoon :')
Greyhounds are so chill and regal. Very quiet and well-mannered. I love them.
Betty was given to the right family. Did you see the happiness exude from her? Adorable!
Frankie whatta a Mama!!!
Red's story was so beautiful ❤ her parents are wonderful people.
I thought it was awesome that this family came all the way to see Lisa. She gave the girls something. Frankie is such a good mom to her puppies. Betty, I am glad Greyhound rescue got her. Chris was able to rehilbilatate her to were she was adopted to a loving home.
This episode broke me. I have an Italian Greyhound. So I have a special place in my heart for all related breeds. I am so happy she got the home she deserves! They really are amazing animals!
Good girl Frankie, what attentive and protective mommy, so cute.❤💖
These couple who saved Red are so wonderful
The dachshund isn't being over protective. She's being a good mom.
I would have laughed if they named the Tanuki "Tommy" and "Timmy" (if they were both boys). They've already got Redd! 🤣 And I love Scott's fuzzy socks!!
Redd has the same fox plushie as me.
0:45 OMG ITS A TANUKI AKA A RACCOON DOG. I LOVE HOW CUTE THEY ARE 😍😍😍!
As a child I wanted to become a Vet…due to some circumstances, that didn’t happen. However I have immense respect for all Vets and the job they do for their patients and the people who need their help!! My bird’s avian vet is like a real super hero and a living angel as her knowledge, care and compassion have made a huge difference in my bird and my life as his caregiver. I pray for many more vets to keep providing amazing care towards all animals in need and their human caregivers!!
What a completely sweet and fascinating episode. All my favorites, and such interesting tests for Dr. Scott. Dr. Scott, your gigantic heart and great good humor is such a gift.
Dear Dr. Chris, you are THE BEST. Your kindness and care for Betty is soul reviving. I really got a lift from seeing Betty perk up after rehab and rehome to the RIGHT FAMILY. Just so satisfying to witness her total joy.
I absolutely love Dr Kate! She's so calm and sweet to her patient's and their owners!❤️
Great and wonderful stories from puppies to little girl that want to be vets. Thank you for looking ahead.
Greyhounds are such lovely dogs, they're so sweet and real couch potatoes. So incredibly sweet.
They're doing the best they can for her overall health with the assumption she will never be either completely free npr tame.
yea, they didn't really explain but I'm sure they have their reasons...because they are always about doing the best thing for the animals
Red foxes live in family groups sharing a joint territory. Red does not look happy ……
With the SECOND puppy (the first female) the little smallest one, Frankie is most likely more protective because she might be a little runt, even if she is healthy. Shes very good for a first time mom! The first little ones look exactly like my dapple boy (he’s about 4 years old now) they are so beautiful!
New Mom and new grandma were great!! The puppies are adorable and so precious.❤
❤️
Dr. Losa thank you for taking time to see those little girls. By doing that you encouraged them to work harder at school, hopefully, and maybe one day they will be a vet like you ❤
Love the show and the respect and caring they have for the animals. 😊💖
That fox needs a friend❤️. I know they want it to be wild but loneliness can be more cruel since she has to live in captivity.
Foxes are not pack animals😉
@@CostaWanti But we know today that foxes are not that solitary. Their social structure is complex and can vary, but they do live sometimes in familygroups. So I agree with C C that it would be good for Red to have at least some contact to other foxes.
@@c.h.9223 I agree. In the wild there would be interactions with other animals, not close relationships, but interactions, matings even if they come and go. I don't know much about the lives of foxes, but a life in the wild would not be one of such isolation. This is one instance where I think a Bondi vet got it wrong.
@@CostaWanti I don’t think it would hurt, especially since they’re trying to reduce human contact with her, she’ll probably get lonely over time
I was looking for this type of comment.
That fox is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful. 🦊
Okay, Dr. Lisa is awesome! A treat bag with a mask and cap is PERFECT!
Betty is beautiful! What a heart warming story. Lisa those little girls could have no better perso to look up to and want to be like when the get big. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤ from Kansas USA
I can watch Scott and Chris and there are others, like the one that checked the puppies when they were born truly born to be vets. Love the video Betty has a beautiful family at last.
I love this fox story. Thank you for taking Red in and keeping her safe. Dr. Scott please pass my message on to her owners and thank you for taking care of her to. I must say im a bit jealous of you holding her!❤❤❤❤❤for Red
That is just so precious to see how protective the dog mum is
Frankie is sooo cute and is my one favourite breeds besides corgis, golden's and Frenchies
+Kaja Hansen I'm partial to Dachshunds and German Shepherds myself :).
Freddie is a beautiful mum to her little fur babies, as for red beautiful baby cub that would be sad to send her back to the wild her rescuers did the best they can and with Scotts help they did an amazing job love and God's blessing to you all and vet team 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕😺😺😺😺😺
I really enjoy this channel. BONDI is the BEST - vets the people who are involved in the care of the animals that really LOVE doing their jobs. Thank you a trillion times over. I am a 21+ years kitty and muppie rescuer plus every so often we have a squirrel, a mouse, an opposum, a frogs/toads, birds, and a red fox that need some assistance. I love our animals too. So a huge Thank You to all of you wonderful blessed people.💖💖💞💞😇🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌷🌸🌹🌻🌺😍😄
I do agree while heartedly.💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Love your compassion & heart Dr. Alex Hines!!! You are such a wonderful spirited person!!!
Great job to all vets & staff, for helping various animals stay well! Everyone living/working in the UK, I offer my condolences and prayers for God's comfort, during your country's national season of grief.
0:38 My reaction was just, "OH! TANUKI!"
Which is also known as the Raccoon Dog, although related more to foxes, last I read, than actual raccoons or dogs.....Lol.
We have them here in Japan.
Love this channel. I'm a 22 years cat n dog rescuer in America. BUT: when God puts another animal in our path, we help them too. 💓💕❤💖🙏🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏿😍😇😇
7:47 Frankie says Relax. I got this.
Thank you for all the work you do.
You guys are so amazing ❤️
thank you Scott!
Lovely beautiful story so happy Betty got a home
Thank you all for your wonderful work. What would the world be without you !!!💖💖💖🇩🇪( that's me from GERMANY)💖💖💖
I love watching BONDI VET.
It makes me happy, hopeful , looking positiv into the future. There are still so many " good" people , who take care of animals which were not wanted. Thank you again.💖💖💖 🇩🇪💖💖💖
That fox is absolutely amazing! ♥️
Franky such a Good Mama ☺️ bless those little pups n Mama ❤️💯
I live in the most heavily populated Fox town in the UK, its Bournemouth in case anyone was wondering and Scott is correct when he he says they are far more common in urban areas than the countryside . I see multiple Foxes a day, especially in the evenings, never had issues with any of the foxes but my rabbits are strictly inside rabbits and they will remain that way. They are my babies and it's just not safe for them outside in the area i live.
Frankie is the cutest mom I love it
Long live Betty!!!😊✌🐩
I had to rewind just to make sure I actually heard Dr. Kate say "I'm really pumped."
That poor greyhound is breaking my heart. People can be so cruel.
Greyhounds are such sweet dogs.
This was a great video ❤I'm so happy the greyhound went to such an awesome family. Dog-racing is against the law here and thank the Lord for that, these pups are worth so much more than to be tossed aside if they can't destroy themselves on a track for human pleasure.
Frankie is such a great mom, it's wonderful to see.
Thats why I love this show I'm 26 and never heard of a raccoon dog
@ Liz Khalifa Hey, I'm 48 and I haven't heard of them until this either
@@ShellyS2060 they are beautiful animals
You should watch more anime
Red is a beautiful, gorgeous girl 💕 Offered to assist in surgery. Amazing vet!!! Curious, no masks during surgery? Is this not a sterile theater?
I love you shows ! I watch from Palmer Alaska ! I have taken in so many different animals as a kid and then as an adult ! 🥰❤️ I love animals and love to see the wild ones in the wild ! Up here there are no shortage of those ! Thank you for the shows ! 😂🥰❤️😢😊
Wow u would have much bigger animals in Alaska!💕💙💜🙏from Australia
I couldn’t foster any animal, because when I take them into my heart, which I would, I couldn’t let any of them go..🌺💚🙃
How about adopting like dogs and cats who are abused or neglegted?
Go Betty!!! Such an awesome animal 😍 much Love
Red just likes that house pet life. shes also a v shy girl. I never realized how intelligent they looked.
Why not bond with Red if she can’t be released? Seems cruel, they’re not entirely solitary animals.
Frankie and her pups are adorable!
When are we going to see some all new shows? Everything that's come out lately has been compilations. I love Bondi Vet and Vet On The Hill and have seen each episode numerous times, both as its own show and in compilations.
These r new!
My fave is the Madagascar tenrec. I learn a new animal each day. Thank you for sharing. And, take care.
Kinda sickening you can't be responsible enough to keep dogs in your care from breeding
Insisting on getting them desexed and actually getting them desexed and two different things
Oh my this episode is so funny the way the alpaca spit in Scott’s mouth n his reaction when they start doing there business made me laugh so hard n I really love this episode thank you guys for making an old lad6 laught
Love the miniature dachshunds 🥰
"Lots of fun" --> Gets alpaca spit into his mouth. 😂😂

Red is so gorgeous..what a lovely creature!😍And those Raccoon Dogs are really cool!
A greyhound is my dream dog, so sad when they're dumped for selfish reasons
Love all the doc’s they are brilliant!

🐼 Big Bear Hugs from a 68 yr old grandma in Kirby, Texas, USA 🐼 ❤️ 🎀 ❤️ 🎀
Red is absolutely beautiful. Foxes are one of my favorite animals.
The fox looks so sad. Why not bring her in at night? Is a life of isolation really the right thing?
Why do they want Red to be more wild if she's going to live in captivity? If she wants cuddles, let her have cuddles! She's not meant to live in isolation for the rest of her life.
Tanuki are so cute! It's nice to see a pair of them being nice and happy and healthy.
Omg, I guessed that was a tenrec!
That's what I was thinking. Why do they have to reduce contact and make her more wild if she is never going to be released. If a fox like that wanted cuddles from me, I would feel wrong not to. It's had such a tough life and it's grown attached, why do they need to unattach themselves?
What a sweet GOUGOUS greyhound dog!🙏🙏💜💕💙🐶🙏
@@buffyjosmom that makes since, good to know!
I have a rescued feral for 10 years she was born wild and never changes she lives with 9 other not feral cats in a house of total LOVE
What adorable puppies.
If the Fox is never going to live back in the wild anyway, what's the harm in petting it now and then?
Because human touch can spread disease and bacteria and germs to them and make them very very sick
What?? One would think that we might get germs and bacteria from the foxes. Not the other way around!! that reasoning really surprised me!!!!!!
In the wild they would have mates and babies.
beautiful little betty.
so cruel those money

"So cruel those money making types" so, the owner of the dachshund in the start of the video??
@@EarthlingCanine I think the person meant that greyhound dog because that dog’s name is Betty. The dachshund’s name is Frankie so no it’s probably not her owner. He/she/they likely meant the people who had treated Betty.
