I absolutely love the sweetness of the rat grooming his owner as she pets him. That’s a wonderful sign of how much she cares and how strong the bond is.
I'm excited to see a rat on this episode. A lot of people don't really understand just how good pets they are. Even more they become friends and family. I've owned a lot of rats over the years and they are some of the best companions.
@@j.b501 awe! One of my rats is a husky! So it's really cool to see his fur change color over time. I think he's the rarest I've owned. The second would be my pearl rat that past away sadly. Such angels though!
So glad you were able to help Marcus the rat and extend his lifespan. People often discount rats as pets, but they are sweet, intelligent pets that easily become much loved pets.
Marcus the rat and his owner have such a sweet bond. I feel like he has such a big personality and knows whos his mama. Also Pano (i dunno how to spell it) is so cute!
Marcus made me cry. What a sweet little guy and I really hope his treatment helped. He was such a precious lovebug. Two and a half is quite the senior rat.

Being a vet nurse and buying a breed that is known to suffer a lot of genetic defects is kinda ironic ngl. Unless the pug was a rescue, this is just irresponsible. You’d think that since she sees the problems these dogs face in her profession she’d know better than to buy into that industry. Those dogs are seriously deformed and breeding them should honestly be illegal.
True that. Pugs should be bred the way they were in the 60s; they had a bit of muzzle, and no breathing problems. Some breeders are breeding them---they're called retro Pugs. My dad raised them when I was a kid. (Jan Griffiths).
@@douglasgriffiths3534 responsible breeding of certain breeds is ok. As long as the main goal is making the nozzle long enough to where the dog doesn’t have issues. It’s still cute. If not cuter because it’s not struggling to breath. Consumers need to make responsible decisions when buying dogs. And ONLY support the good breeders. The ones who will take a dog back if that one doesn’t work with you. The ones who keep the pups with mom long enough if not longer.
@@FukaiKokoro My dad did do that---allowing people to take a puppy on a trial basis. He never got any returned, as I remember---I was only a kid then, and was breeding Siamese cats with my mom. So it was like a tiny sweating hut for rats. I used pure salt water though, but it helped her cough up everything. Never do this unattended. I sat beside her and checked regularly how she was doing.
Another thing that worked was one drop of Echinacin, an echinacea med for humans. It was based on alcohol, which I might not have given to a young rat.
