Bootsy is a GREAT bassist, he played for James Brown in early 70's before joining George Clinton & the P-Funk gang.
Played for Miles Davis also.

Baddest bassist ever. Bootsy Collins is such a nice man as well. He was at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and my sister and I met Mr Collins and he talked to me as if I was in a band or something. He was driving an orange and brown Suburban cuz he's a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan. Just a kick ass man.

A couple of the times I saw him live I was front row almost touching the stage.
I advise you to look at Bootsys live performances as he takes this song to a totally different level.

Bone wrote this song along with Bootsy and George Clinton. I've been a fan since the 70s and this song kills. This song was also played in the movie Baby Boy. Its the scene were Snoop was sitting on the couch smoking and Taraji told him don't be burning her candles. Glad to see you guys back

I have never heard this song before, too cool! He is a wonderful bassist. I never knew he played with so many different funkadelic bands. I am going to have to check him out. Great Pic!
Whenever P-Funk performed they were all on stage playing. At least 20 of them.
We all heard this from that one cool ass uncle all of the gen x had one & I miss mines a lot,more than I ever thought. He helped me raise my son,so I just would love for him to how his great-nephew turned out.

When I was in high school in the 70's, in Levittown - Bristol Pennsylvania, Bootsy and some of his crew use to party at these apartments complex called Green Lane apartments and partake of illegal activities and other things with my classmates and older schoolmates, you name it they did, I listen to the partying stories, I myself was to much of a ghetto Egar Allen Poe and William Shakespeare, and didn't play hookie,he loved to party
I was there live it was in DC at the capital center
I've never heard his version of this song before but I used to listen to a cover of it by old school rapper Eazy E that was on his best of album called Eternal E that I had when I used to listen to old school rap but he changed the word be to the f word in his version

That is NOT a guitar Bootsy is playing !!! Come on. You're supposedly into music and have a show. This is so depressing sorry to say when I listen to young people. Guitars have 6 or 12 strings. He's played bass since he was with the James Brown band. Glad you enjoyed it though!!
