Ds18 is always in the running though. I wish u would of picked up some audiopipe loudspeakers. They have some with a sealed back that I have almost bought a few times. The Orion oh wow how it performaning sounds amazing. Unfortunately not seen it sold her in the UK. The DS18 is which I believe their brand is amazing. I have used their amplifiers which have been one the best amplifiers I've ever owned
I'm planning to upgrade my mids in my car and I wasn't finding any good reviews until I came across this channel,I was planning to go with Orion but that DS18 has me speachless, where I'm from the DS18 is cheap compared to Orion which has me thinking cheaper is not better but in this case I will look into the DS18 some more...thank you for the review it really helped a lot
I have Orion 6x9 xtr and 5.5” components xtr also. Then I have 4x6 xtr amazing sound and load. It’s just like them vs the massive same volume level HUGE difference. Love them Orion all the way

I agree with this post. We are stuck trying to compare pics to figure out what model you are testing. With that said, I love what you are doing. New subscriber. Will be binge watching your videos.
He does have a list of every speaker he tests. Would be helpful. If he would say which of the models he is currently testing. Ex. In one video he just refers to the speaker as an Orion. There are 3 different Orion speakers in his list on the description. You then have to click the links to see if thats the one being tested. Simple solution would have been to just say the model, ex. Orion CM65. Anyways, not bashing the videos. They are great and informative. Just a little constructive criticism, to lessen our First World Problem of having to research for our selves.
What do you need data for? Get yourself some good earphones and you can distinguish sound quality well enough to hear what’s suited for your taste and budget...you can find data in your web browser
@@emoralesm5 wtf no. That's not how you build a system. You use the data sheets to pick which speakers are right for the job. You can also use the TS parameters to determine what type of enclosures and crossovers to use with the speakers.
Some people are "stuck' on brands like 'Alpine' and 'Pioneer' just to name a few. Don't get me wrong, both companies make some fantastic head units and Alpine make some great amps. But not to overly impressed with their speaker range.
For entry Speaker Setup I really rate the Pioneer amplifier. I feel like it's s fair price and still performs well. I've never personally used the Speakers however... Based off the amp if the speakers are the same quality I think I would be very happy.
@@wonganimaganga2270 Agree, if I was on a tight budget would probably choose a Pioneer car amp over a JVC or Kenwood. Back in the day JVC made some great head units and some of their speaker range wasn't half bad. But in my opinion their quality have dropped in recent years.

Bought the ds18s and yes they are loud but a little annoying for my liking you will need 3 different types of speakers to get the sound you’re looking for something with sub tweakers and the ds18 which is mids

Hey Mike, I'll never leave you alone untill you give me your opinion! 😁greetings from Florida! 👋 I love music and I'm trying to upgrade my sound system on my ford f150 for a clean and quality sound system I've been doing a research for over a month now on speakers and stuff, I think I've watched every single video of yours about comparison and reviews and I'm still having a really hard time to decide what speakers to get for a complete round up in my truck, I do everything my self I've done all the mods on my truck my self with passion and I love it, but I really need your help Mike please what do you recommend for me, I'm trying to keep the price reasonable since it's really hard to make money and I don't want to be disappointed again with my choices, I've just ordered a recoil class D 4ch amp 2ohm-4ohm stable with 300rms at 2ohm x 4 and 210 rms at 4ohm x4 noise ratio 85db and frequency 15hz - 25khz and trying to find the best affordable speakers that would complete my set up. I'm going to do a sound deadinng on all doors as well, I recently bout a Polk Audio amp(wich I'm returning tomorrow due to overheating) to replace it with the recoil amp above👆 Currently the Polk Audio is running my jbl GTO939 6x9 Coaxial 100w rms 300w peak on the front and the jbl GTO629 6.5 2way Coaxial 60w rms 180w peak on the rear, also a different amp for my 2x12" mtx subs, Im using aftermarket android tesla style head unit. I added a line out converter lci7 then connect the 2 amps, but I feel a little incomplete, I bought the gbl gto tweeters you recommended in one video aslo bought the BZRK tweeters because they look nice as well, haven't installed them yet because the ohm doesn't add up, can you please recommend me something to complete a good sound, I'm thinking to go with 2 way component speakers and trying to decide for a good midrange speakers for rear since I have the tweeters, I'm even willing to add 2 more 5 inch speakers and modify the rear doors if necessary! I had the Rockford's, Rockville, Morel twice, and of all of them, the Rockford was worth the extra $$. Them things can handle power, sound terrific, great vocals, good midbass thump (at 120w RMS), and didn't burn up. I burned the Morels twice and roasted 4 Rockvilles. --Edit: You also need to consider the depth of the speakers for mounting. The RF fits in my doors. Orion does not. DS18 sounds decent, but not as good as the RF.
My main question is that there's so many variables, how are you handling wattage difference and impedance changes between them all? Because, I only see you jumping from speaker to speaker, using the same test leads without changes.

Hey I just found your channel, and I love these kinda videos. If possible, please test and compare the Soundqubed QP-MR series as well as the Rockville Audio RM series of loudspeakers. Keep the vids coming.
All of these speakers are designed slightly different and require different frequency ranges due to their frequency response from their material makeup and construction.. these days, with the materials available on the market, the most important factor for mid range and midbass drivers is going to be the crossover. That being said, you cannot compare all these speakers using the same frequency crossover and power input. They will all preform slightly different. Optimal settings for one driver is not going to be the same for the others. And in order to get anything from this test, you have to be there to listen in person. You simply can’t hear the same thing through whatever computer speakers and microphone that you are recording with on your end. And most certainly won’t be able to hear the difference to have an honest comparison by listening with headphones. The frequency response is going to shift significantly.
I look at your videos as they are great, but I am always confused with what speaker is being played at any one time. Is it possible for you to identify to your viewers which ones are on at each moment? For instance there are four DS18 Midrange speakers on your work table from the list below, but can't tell which is which. Regards and keep up the good work.
Not sure if you pay attention to music seperation, listening to highs alone isn't a good way Caused these are meant to low pass at certain point anyway If you do, great😊, love what you doing, alot of effort, and I agree listening to raw driver alone will full range does let you know roughly how a speaker will be sounding, I subscribed May be order some mid bass from China company, there are some big oem company there.

You Must get RF ppx crossover. I’ve had 8 pps4-6 with and without crossover and it’s a drastic difference crossing them yourself vs what RF designed.

I have used massive audio 1200.4ab amp and it lasted about 6 weeks before going out on me for no aparent reason other than factory crap amp
