When I was born my mom and dad had boys names but not a girls. So a nurse suggest they name me Diana Lynn after this actress ! This is the first time I have seen her in a movie. 63 years later….
When we had our daughter 30 years ago, 3 different people suggested Lynn as middle name, even knowing the first name was Nicole. Nicole Lynn does not work at all. Well we chose Erin.
@@helenpoornima5126 Han Solo: Would you look at Lumpy! He's sure grown, huh? And I think his voice is changing Lumpy: Arrgararrggaar! Han Solo: Come on, I'm just teasing. 😄
🎶 At the boardinghouse where I live, things are growing old Long gray hairs are in the butter 🧈 Ants 🐜 are in the sugar bowl 🥣 When the dog 🐶 died we had hot 🥵 dogs 🐕 When the cat 🐱 died cat 🐈⬛ nip tea ☕️ When the landlord died, I left there, spareribs were too much for me. 😳😱😲😬😝🤪🥴🤢
It was more common in those years. Children were expected to follow rules and learn early how to take care of themselves. I was born in 1955, in southern Oregon, and from an early age (4) I was assigned a duck flock to care for. At 6, I was pretty much left to my own devices before and after school to do chores, take care of farm animals and do other tasks, as well as do my homework and be on time for supper. I was very able to take care of myself, and I often traveled miles getting back and forth to school, on my bike, my sister's bike, or a Jersey steer we had who was quite OK with being ridden. I watered him during recess, and I gave the other students rides. I never was supervised by my parents, they were busy... dad working, and mother being lazy staying at home and exploiting him. She was a narcissist...ours was not a well adjusted family... But many of my fellow and sister pupils were in similar conditions. I learned many years later that many of the students in my school were abused. Adults going out to cocktail parties, smoking and socializing with bridge clubs, dance groups and other activities... all these were common up until about 1970. It was a totally different time.
"why is a child left alone?" One of the funniest things I have ever read. You must be a millennial! "Kids were working full time jobs at 13!" One of my ancestors, a female, was married at 14. Personally, I think we were a much better people, then!

At 4:20 above, $6,000 cash would be approximately $70,000 today. The US dollar has been turned to pocket change.

In this movie there is little smoking, tobacco companies haven't invadered here, because alcohol business was first.
It does seem like the whole movie was actually a commercial for booze.
You bet your sweet bippy😄
Mmm!!!🤔! I think you love somebody !am I correct dear Mike ?!?!👸 🌹
Ha Ha. I haven't heard that since I was nine years old in the 1960s from Rowan and Martin's Laugh In show!
