Technically, this is sonar (SOund Navigation And Ranging), not radar (RAdio Detection And Ranging). We made a similar system back in 1982 using an ultrasonic transducer from a polaroid camera, a stepper motor, and an IMSAI 8080 computer for a college lab course. It's still pretty cool, even after 38 years have passed.

But I am really grateful to this author for sharing the code and 3D printing stl data before, so that I can successfully download it to my USB flash drive. I have already printed the 3D printing before (Fortunately, I already downloaded it many years ago), and the code has been uploaded to NANO for testing. The 1.8-inch TFT color screen has been successfully displayed. I haven't assembled it all into the 3D shell yet. Now all the semi-finished products are placed in the warehouse I rented outside. When I have time, I will take them home and assemble them all. I will post them here: " I was the first to success "
because nothing says "professional" as loud as hotglue and ducttape on a breadboard, XD This way, every component is easily replaceable. No need to rewire everything, just plug'n'play!

It is displayed incorrectly. When the sensor is rotating to the left, on the display is drawn to the right. It should be the opposite, otherwise it will render the wrong location.
I am also trying to do this project but my LCD's resolution is 128x128....what variables in the code do I need to modify to make the graphic fit? thanks in advance

set the sonar fixedly. And for coverage, apply a synchronously rotating prism in front of it. This will increase performance and reach.

Damn, that PCB is awful and totally useless. You can connect all parts directly to arduino.
I think maybe he is advertising JLCPCB, he always uses their PCB, even when a few Dupont connector would do :)

You need discrimination, doppler and return timing! Or it's not really radar, just a noise maker.

You could use an ESP2866 or ESP32 processeor instead of Arduino Nano, they have built in WiFi and Bluetooth. You could then connect your phone to it.
By the way, I'd like to see the graph on my TV and available from everywhere in the world via the broadcasting satellite network :-D

Firmware, the Ultrasound unit is capable of measuring distance. The maker did not implement this function.

The ultrasound unit shown here is only good for 4M or so. You would need an _expensive_ LIDAR unit to sense that far.
