- We loaded up the RV to take the family on a little weekend Alaska Road Trip.
We went through a 2.5 mile tunnel which ends in a quaint little fishing village called Whittier. It’s a tiny little Seaport surrounded by the Prince William Sound which is beautiful!
We traveled on to Seward where we spent the night surrounded by singing Hermit thrushes and Swifts with a beautiful view of exit glacier which was absolutely stunning and our favorite part of the trip.
From there, we tried our hand at salmon fishing but got skunked.

I just love God's stereo! He has made some of the most beautiful birds and their singing to God is just breath taking! Such beautiful music to God!
Can I just say, you do an amazing job with the camera. You take your time and focus in on each thing and its never too fast. I really am able to get a feel for what you are all seeing. It's amazing. I am so glad I can experience Alaska this way. Have fun everyone. Prayers always for safety and protection. ❤

Love following you on this adventure. I took my first cruise up that channel on my honeymoon with my 2nd husband. We had both lost our mates found each other and God blessed me with the greatest man. When we got to Juno they said their average rainfall was 103". At the time my husband was 85 and I was 75. He had a car accident that caused his death when he was 91. I miss him so much but know I will see him again. We have an awesome God.
God bless you Geraldine. I'm 61 and I lost my husband to covid just this past February. It's the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I know I will see him again but it doesn't stop me from missing him right now.
My deepest sympathy to both of you Ladies. Death changes everything and time heals nothing. May your wonderful memories bring you some comfort during this saddest of times while we await the resurrection our Father has promised. Warm, tight hugs

When I visited my brother in Alaska, we tool a picnic on top of a glacier & watched mountain goats. Such a special memory! I think that Alaska is the most beautiful place on earth. Wish I were there but I am 71 and to late for me. All I do is dream now . Gorgeous and almost otherworldly with the foggy Rainey days.take care stay safe and god bless..
Brings back so many memories. Been there three times. flew up in 1995 and rented a motor home for two weeks. Told my wife when we retire we're driving up in our own motor home, she just rolled her eyes. Did the trip in 2009 and again in 2013 with our own motor home. Planned on going back in 2020, thanks to covid that hasn't happened and wont as the wife has terminal cancer now. Again thanks for the memories.

I have been to those places in the winter, and it was beautiful, but also beautiful now in the summer. I love Alaska. Your family is so blessed to be able to move to Alaska for a while. Have a great time with your family. Keep taking us along, too.
My dad was stationed in Alaska during WWII and always wanted to go back. Sadly he died before that happened. Thanks for bringing back memories of him as I watched your beautiful video.

Each of your trips is amazing and the scenery is very lovely! There are so many beautiful glaciers and waterfalls all around you! Alaska is an amazing place with everything gorgeous to see. I loved the two and a half-mile tunnel, which I’m quite sure was made by hand. You had a wonderful place for camping overnight! God has truly surrounded you with His lovely handiwork every way you look there! Enjoy each day and may Christ bless you, always!

Alaska is so gorgeous! I love it. My daughter worked for Samaritans Purse and lived in Soldotna for a couple of years. Her landlord was a native and she said that Kenai red salmon are the best in the world. I can attest to it. It is so delicious!

The tunnel was interesting. I went to on an Alaskan cruise a few years ago. I went salmon fishing in Ketchikan and a bald eagle was soaring over head trying to get to my fish that I was reeling in. Eagle didn't get the fish but my hubby got great video and pictures of the eagle! Just breathtaking beautiful in Alaska! We hope to go back someday! Excellent video!
I highly recomend the Philips Glacier tour in Whittier. They are family run for many decades. The tour is much longer than the competitors and very informative. We actually saw a glacier calving.
Wow, amazing. The video is beautiful, I can not imagine the beauty with your eyes. I love the waterfalls, beautiful. The tunnel was amazing. All I can say is amazing. LOL...It is a shame it was so foggy that you could not see the glaciers better. I really did enjoy this video, thank you so much for sharing. Alaska is so beautiful. I dream of one day visiting that beautiful state.

Thanks for taking us along and showing us all the beautiful scenery. I think they call those purple flowers fire weed. I saw them on Somers in Alaska TH-cam channel. She says when the blooms get up to the top you have 6 weeks until winter. She also made and canned jelly with them

Hearing the joy in your voices while describing the beautiful scenery reminds me of my trip to Alaska. The only difference is I shed many tears of joy seeing all the incredibly beautiful, breathtaking, and majestic beauty that God created for us to see and be a part of. You see, I was born and raised in the desert, but I have always loved forests, lakes, rivers, & mountains, but never got to live in them. I have dreamed of seeing Alaska and was finally able to go spend 15 days there. I have always dreamed of going back, but I know that will never happen.
I was hoping you would have gone into the aquarium in Seward (Seward and Homer were my most favorite towns). I was wanting to go visit the aquarium to learn about sea life in the Alaskan waters, but the 2 individuals sharing the trip voted against it and wanted to leave Seward. On the brighter side, I did get to go on one of the tour boats that took us out to the huge glacier. While on the boat, a portion of the glacier calved a little. The crew used a net to scoop up crystal clear ice and asked if we would like to touch or taste ice hundreds of years old. So amazing! Then we saw little black dots on top of tiny ice bergs floating on top of the water, each berg a little bigger than the dot. We were told the black dots were baby seals the mothers had put on the burgs so Orcas would not see or get them. I changed my camera lens to my high-powered zoom. I was able to see the babies floating on the bergs and got several pictures of them. The crew were a wealth of information. Then to different bays where Orcas were swimming 40 ft from the boat. Then to the ocean where sea lions were resting on rocks, and old lookout posts from WWII. Oh Yes! And if anyone is worried about motion sickness, go into the gift shop and get one of the little beaded bracelets that prevent seasickness. I didn't think it would work, but they were completely sold out of Dramamine, so I tried the bracelet. THE BRACELET WORK!!! So, I was able to thoroughly enjoy the adventure on the boat, even ate and drank without any problems. Who would ever think that some tiny beads on a piece of elastic would prevent motion sickness?
I'm sorry. As you can tell, I truly loved Alaska. Every place I went while there I could feel God's presence. I could feel him saying with outstretched arms, "This is what I created for my children to enjoy and know I love them." Well, something like that. I didn't want to leave. I had never felt so close to God as I did there. I know you all will enjoy your time there. Just please, get in the habit of carrying your gun on you at all times. God Bless and protect you all!

Gas is around $4.75 right now. We try to go to Costco for groceries. They are a little bit higher but not exuberantly.

We stayed at Miller’s Landing next to Resurrection Bay outside Seward a year ago and walked along the coastline as you all did. Exit Glacier is so stunning!
