Rod & Staff ☆LOOK INSIDE☆ (Level 2: English & Spelling)

These are such afordable, simple, English and Spelling books! I love that they include good character and the Bible in their sentences and exercises.
I had my son use a separate notebook to write out his answers. Usually we do every other problem, unless more practice is needed.

My second born used Rod & Staff English, Spelling, and Math from 2nd grade - January of his 7th grade year, when a family emergency forced me to stop homeschooling. Knowing the public school would look down their noses at us, I let them place him in regular classes. The math teacher actually scolded me because my son didn’t know how to “transform a graph” - a skill my now-engineer son assured me he has never needed. He did know how to do fractions, decimals, and percents in his head…. Within two weeks all of his teachers moved him into advanced classes. I also learned so much from teaching him! Love Rod & Staff.

I love all that I'm learning alongside my kids (a bonus blessing of homeschooling for sure)!

We're planning on using English 2 as well and I'm so excited! I think It'll be a perfect fit for my son 😊 I'm also trying their arithmetic 1 and so nervous about how he'll do since i know it's a tradition math 😅

@KikiP-rb8no That's another great thing about homeschooling! We get to try different styles and if something isn't the best fit for us or our kids it's ok to reassess. I hope this is a great fit for your family, and if it's not, that you give yourself grace to adjust it.

I don’t use any rod and staff curriculum but I have several books by Rod and Staff publishing that I’ve found used, and I really love the Christian values in them ❤

That focus on the Bible and good character drew me to it too! I was thankful to get to thumb through it all at the homeschool conference.
