When I used to play AC games, the bosses were knights, corrupted priests, and it took place in historical events. And now there are freaking Gorgons and Ice Giants.
Still made me rage less than that stupid flying machine mission in AC2. Not a boss, but "Shoot the flying demon!" still haunts me years later. The boar farts and the poison clouds that didn't go away enraged me too though.
It wasn't hard, just took forever for me. I didn't die but damn I just wanted that battle to end after 5 straight minutes of the same strategy. Then it went on another fifteen minutes
I was actually the opposite, Medusa killed me several times (I had a bad habit of going in at stupid low levels because, why not) But that ship was a one try for me, the only legendary ship that gave me trouble and managed to kill me was the two man o' war's
Surprisingly the giant snake for me wasn’t too difficult I died like once or twice, but the boar in AC Odyssey was one of the hardest boss fights I’ve been in
that stupid farting boar made me want to end myself, every single playthrough ive done so far i have died at least a 100 times. it is the only "boss" ive ever had trouble with and i never want to do it again. whoever added it sucks lmao
Kalydonian Boar was really hard at the beginning of Odyssey. With one of my tries I realized mercenaries that were after me would also fight boar, if it's closer to them. So I've just provoked two to fight boar and joined the fight at the end :)
The Storm Fortress in AC Rogue Remastered was insanely difficult the fact it isn't mentioned is crazy. Medusa was difficult but her attacks are pretty readable after a few minutes. The pharaohs in AC Origins were way harder than the gods - especially King Tut and Rameses. Hats off though, Arges, El Impoluto, Minotaur, Medusa, and the boars from Odyssey were pretty hard.
Agreed. What about the double elephants in origins on the hardest difficulty? Definitely the hardest boss for me in all of AC by far, and it didn’t even make the top 20 list.
Valhalla had pretty underwhelming bosses compared to Odyssey and Origins. However, the third of the Daughters of Lerion was a beast. Even at a decent level, her speed on the phantom attack was insane. However, those 3 we're about the only ones with tricky mechanics in my eyes. The rest were a cakewalk by the time you reach them and dual spears eats anything that's not protected.

So while I agree there were challenging fights, it was not anything like that freaking poisonous boar.
Basically because you only healed enough to not get oneshoted, so you had to run away 10 seconds every time you got on critical health. Which was very usual on those bosses, at least for Nefertiti in my case.
Fenris wolf in valhalla no doubt. This one was the most bugged enemy ubisoft has ever made. If I attacked with melee, then fenris wolf digged in underground forever. So the challenge was to kill him fast enough with range before he started digging.
Fighting Hades was no joke either. I had more trouble with that than a lot of these other. And as far as Valhalla is concerned, I was so leveled up when I fought many of the bosses that it's didn't seem challenging enough.
with the full assassin build + 100% assassin damage but healt capped engraving + crit build , all you have to do is pressing hero strike and then he is killed with 1 hit :D

I really liked the boss fights in syndicate. I mean the whole planning and different options how you can do it and u can find secret entrances or get someone to help you on the inside to get you close to the target. And the targets were actually people and not some huge creatures
I used a combination of Ares' Madness and Overpower Attacks. Deals a lot of damage in combination, especially with both abilities maxed out. Inbetween those attacks I used my bow to keep the boar at a safes distance. I wore the Greek Heroes armour set, but I think the Demigod or Amazon set would also be useful!
Yeah the Boar 🐗 on odyssey was the hardest for me and I did exactly that had the bounty follow me over there where they fought the boar and I watched in the background
El Impoluto is the second easiest legendary ship after the foggy one. The reason behind that is its specialty is ramming your ship which is EXTREMELY EASY to avoid, its ranged weaponry is weak and easy to dodge as well. Dama Negra's MUCH superior damage output and its annoying damage proof sides make for a greater challenge than El Impoluto. The twin British ships are arguably the hardest one to sink but, at the end of the day, after the 3rd playthrough, all 4 of them Legendary ships are a piece of cake.
I went into this thinking “there was 20 bosses?” but I realized that I missed out a lot by not playing any of the DLC or Odyssey/Valhalla as I didn’t care for the leveling system from Origins. Dang, might have to go back.
It was ahead of it's time, even for the hardware it ran on. That's why it ran poorly at launch. The subsequent games had to cut down a lot of features that Unity had, which is unfortunate but makes sense.
The engine on unity was so amazing, the ai even remembered encounters with you if you let them live. I wish they improved on it alot more and used that instead of the rpg bs

(odyssey) Erymanthian boar: yep arges: just slightly difficult kalydonian boar: probably? dunno if i fought it the minotaur: 100% medusa: nope. just straight up nope tip for medusa: when you have time, go for quick stabby, otherwise, just stay behind a pillar and exploit how your bow works (stay behind pillar and have ur crosshair be on medusa, cuz this makes her hit the pillar while your shots still count as hits). this makes her yes kinda time-consuming but VERY easy to kill. also make sure to have the 2nd wave ability (the one that lets you heal mid-fight)
@@jessk1683 i think my difficulty is broken or something,i can never seem to get at a higher level than required for certain side quests,such as the sisters of lerion i encountered 2 already ,as well as zealots its almost like they level up along with me ,i have unlocked the skill which allows me regenerate health after getting hit which is what give me a chance atleast
I fought them under level I was 95 today I ran into Cordelia thinking she was 160 like the others that bitch was 340 I was only able to win because of the impalment ability
3:12 You don't have to pay off the bounties, they'll still end up fighting. Although I would recommend having one bounty hunter at a time or else you'll end up fighting all the others.
True that, I had a way harder time with those two boars than with Medusa. I so hated that the Erymanthian Boar would poison you with his farts and then keep charging at you like an enraged bull
Godwin was pretty easy for me, i decided to battle him with only Eivor's mighty fist and dropkick. He may look strong in the healthbar but he's just a shitty tanky boss with alot of health. I was dissapointed it didn't have credits after i beat him. It felt like i did absolutely nothing.
I really struggled against Deimos Not only does he/she have a weird move where he/she rushes at you , stabs you and throws you , his/her armour lights up, making it impossible to do damage
With the armour lighting up it helped to block Deimos' attacks, he'll stumble and you can attack again... at least as far as I remember. He's pretty OP as an opponent, the fight seemed suuuper stretched to me. Deimos is crazy useful as a shipmate though, he'll deal those same attacks while entering a ship, which is completely overpowered.
I’ve only played odyssey and Valhalla so far, but the hardest for me were: both of the boars in odyssey, the Minotaur, the tempest, Balor, baby Fenrir, Loki and the Puka
bro with medusa i was like 3 level below her i tried it like 5 times coudn t do it so i did a lot of side missions and even on the same level as her it was rlly hard

Medusa definitely the hardest for me. But I did fight her 10 levels below the recommended because I was impatient to level up to complete it 🤣 took me a week to finally beat her my attacks were doing minimal damage
Props to you for not giving up! As soon as you find the right rythm in which she uses the petrifying beam it gets a bit easier. Still a tough fit, but managable!
I'm a bit surprised none of the pharaohs of the curse of the pharaohs origins dlc was show cased not to mention the twin elephants battle. Medusa was easy if you were patient deimos was way harder.
Hekatonchires in AC odyssey, last boss in Judgment of Atlantis DLC he was so hard for me, wide range of attacks, poison, hard to read, ton of health, other goons attacking you... I am surprised he is not on the list
I started Valhalla as first AC game 8 months ago, too haha. I also find it dope, but compared to other ACs it’s shit for most of the players. But it is still my favourite.
The truly frightening experience for me was that legendary wolf in hunting quest. It was so swift and attacked in packs, I tried to beat him like 6 times unsuccessfully! All others here are like in the first try...
I think the minotaur needed a little more love here. That thing made me put the controller down for a week. No other AC boss has frustrated me that much. That thing is fast, and goes nuts once it's pissed 🤣🤣🤣
i think a lot of bosses from the atlantis dlc for ac odyssey should've been included. such as hades or cerberus when u first travel to the land of the dead. another which was rly hard was the Hekatonchires at the end of the dlc
In AC Valhalla, I was always dying in the Loki Boss Fight, because it caught me off guard many times when he was teleporting and attacking from behind, but I finally got him, I was level 190, it took me 6 tries to defeat him.
Not a bad list, but my favourite boss from the AC series was probably Nidhogg, the giant poisonous dragon in Niflheim of Valhalla. I especially like that you cannot fight him with overpowered stats because he in a side section of the game that doesn't let you use your built up skills. A real challenge that I enjoyed.
This! That dragon was the most difficult and challenging boss fight in all AC for me.and if you want to platinum the game, you have to fight and win with one of the armour that doesn't heal you while damaging your enemies, making the fight so much harder. I mean, this whole DLC is one gigantic challenge in patience and determination, because you die and die and die again, until you finally get to Nidhogg and that's where the real challenge starts.
I found the kaladonian boar and the minotaur in odyssey pretty easy to bring down not even getting hit by them, and lucius septimus was also considerably easy in origin... the nemean lion on the other hand took me multiple tries as he kept homing in on dodges rendering dodging at times useless.... The bosses in unity were only tough because the combat in unity was absolutely atrocious making the fights difficult.... In origin the toughest fights were the mercs though this is because I often enjoyed facing them when they were in skull mode
I like how a lot of these are either odyssey or Valhalla I played both and beat both those bosses mentioned are definitely the hardest in the game and hit the nail on the head with Medusa being number one.
The problem with septimius is your playing as Aya The problem I have with Aya is you can't check her abilities and you have a level cap with the weakest weapons you can find
in odyssey any challenge really depends on ur build. i have build that makes me take almost no damage at all and also heal on hit. i could let most bosses pound on me for 5 minutes without fighting back and still not die.
@@abhishekkumarjha3739 it really depends on ur play style. i have 3 builds, a stealth build using the pilgrim set cause you can use the invisible ability infinitely, a crit build (look for purple gear with as many crit damage/crit chance at full health perks) and an amor/ health build using the greek hero set and as many damage reducing/health increasing perks. if you wanna see good builds i recommend going to Jor Raptor. he has tons of very useful informational vids about all kinda of open world games. best weapons, armour, perks, etc
I defeated Medusa 2 levels above me by just being patient and using the legendary bow of Hades and a lot of wood for crafting arrows and also used the -1 adrenaline engrave from the minotaur axe was quite useful and also the legendary dagger that has poison damage was quite effective
The only why I killed Medusa is getting a legendary poison dagger converts regular damage to poison damage and hit and run tactics, I did the same thing for the Minotaur
next time max out hero strike ability and put on any assassin percentage gear you have, hit her with hero on recovery delay. you won't ever see her as hard again.

Medusa isn't that hard ngl her fight is fun especially with the stone mechanic but one boss that should have been on here was the final boss of the Atlantis dlc in odyssey he had the chunkiest health bar out of all the bosses I fought in the games and he is also summoning guys as well it can get a little wild actually surprised he isn't here but tbh this whole list is interchangeable but I also haven't fought some like balor who gives me a dark souls boss vibe
Ive only played a few AC. Ive spent 2-300 hours on Odyssey getting back into AC. I think i first tried Medusa and the Minotaur. I had more trouble with the Erymanthian Boar(2:32), i think i wiped 4-5 times. I was using a Fire/Animal damage build against it. Dagger/Sword/Bow of Hades.
In Origins it was all easy bosses. There is a bow, when you shoot, healing you every shoot. Didn’t play Valhalla yet. Odyssey only the boars were the hardest ones. Medusa was easy to take it down. Black Flag, 1 of the Legendary Ships were hard only, i died multiple times. It is Twin Legendary Ships. Fighting with 2 at same time was the hardest one in Black Flag. Other all AC games bosses weren’t hard.
heya, I must say you forgot to mention the storm fortress from AC Rogue, a legendary epic battle with ships that is for sure the hardest moment Ive encountered in the game even with all the upgrades I could get.
i fought medusa for about 25 times! died each time frustrated so i went back to the saved games levelled up (more than her) upgraded gear n weapons, got all raw materials for the arrows n then fought her!!! It was definitely hard and will keep you on edge but its simply wow!
Goodwin is easy to beat in ac valhalla all you need to is dodge one of his attacks for time to slow then overwhelm him with quick attacks. I recommend using 2 good dangers or a dagger and spear combo that should kill him in seconds
Yeah... I think it should be the witch with very long fingers... Always summoning two minions... Yep, she was the hardest boss in the whole of bloodline... Even harder that Armand Bouchart, who is the final boss.
Regarding Septimus I always tumbled until he used the chain swing attack and then engaged with a bow or spear (long ranged). Through that I managed to finish him without getting hit
Hard and nightmare difficulty force you to use as much stealth and parkour as possible. But of course, the mithological environment changes some things we were used to.
After 18 attempts on the ermantian boar I just cheesed it using all my stamina on devastating shots. So a little advice. Get as much adrenaline as possible and the best bow and level up the devastating shot as much as possible. And then you can use death arrows. And shoot the pig in the face as much as possible.
Ive played every ac game ever made. Some even twice or 3 times. When i tell you those dead pharos you gotta fight in ac origins dlc is some of the hardest fights ever!
Most of these bosses are from the RPG trilogy, the bosses in the other games are way easier, Bellec was easy because I was just shooting him and Jack was also easy because it’s mainly hiding, just felt like those were just thrown in there so it would seem the older bosses were hard also and it wouldn’t exclude the past 3 games, and Al Mualim is just a walk in the park
Forgive my memory, but the damn dragon you fight in one of the Valhalla DLC's where if you die, you start over. That dragon took me like 15 attempts and 3 days because I kept rage quitting 😂
The Storm Fortress from Assassins Creed Rouge is way harder then El Impoluto. At least with the Spanish ship you can use explosive barrels to slow it down. The Storm Fortress uses devestating broadsides AND flame mortars you periodically cant dodge. Not only that but once the Storm Fortress reaches a critical health threshold it spawns TWO additional Legendary Ships. That fight was a nightmare.
It hasn't been mentioned, but I haven't played Valhalla yet, but the boss fight that I've had the most difficulty so far is the final boss of the first dlc of Odeyssey, which was really challenging for me. I reduced the difficulty and level scaling to minimum just for that boss. It was probably the best boss fight in AC history, maybe there are better ones in Valhalla.

Completely agree, I feel like syndicate was so looked over because it came after unity, but I really enjoyed the different style.

if you decide to ever go back and beat the boars on your own, hero strike max out full assassin armor, evade into the lunge attacks. ez win
You can kill the boar a lot faster if you use death arrows with devastating shot
as i played through AC origins, I firmly believe Tutankhamun is the hardest for me. that guy can almost one shot you every hit

tip for medusa: when you have time, go for quick stabby, otherwise, just stay behind a pillar and exploit how your bow works (stay behind pillar and have ur crosshair be on medusa, cuz this makes her hit the pillar while your shots still count as hits). this makes her yes kinda time-consuming but VERY easy to kill. also make sure to have the 2nd wave ability (the one that lets you heal mid-fight)

@@jessk1683 i think my difficulty is broken or something,i can never seem to get at a higher level than required for certain side quests,such as the sisters of lerion i encountered 2 already ,as well as zealots its almost like they level up along with me ,i have unlocked the skill which allows me regenerate health after getting hit which is what give me a chance atleast

I fought them under level I was 95 today I ran into Cordelia thinking she was 160 like the others that bitch was 340 I was only able to win because of the impalment ability
3:12 You don't have to pay off the bounties, they'll still end up fighting. Although I would recommend having one bounty hunter at a time or else you'll end up fighting all the others.

Godwin was pretty easy for me, i decided to battle him with only Eivor's mighty fist and dropkick. He may look strong in the healthbar but he's just a shitty tanky boss with alot of health. I was dissapointed it didn't have credits after i beat him. It felt like i did absolutely nothing.

I really struggled against Deimos
Not only does he/she have a weird move where he/she rushes at you , stabs you and throws you , his/her armour lights up, making it impossible to do damage
With the armour lighting up it helped to block Deimos' attacks, he'll stumble and you can attack again... at least as far as I remember. He's pretty OP as an opponent, the fight seemed suuuper stretched to me.
Deimos is crazy useful as a shipmate though, he'll deal those same attacks while entering a ship, which is completely overpowered.

I was super under level during the Medusa fight so I was running around like a maniac trying to heal
Medusa was easy
Medusa definitely the hardest for me. But I did fight her 10 levels below the recommended because I was impatient to level up to complete it 🤣 took me a week to finally beat her my attacks were doing minimal damage
Props to you for not giving up! As soon as you find the right rythm in which she uses the petrifying beam it gets a bit easier. Still a tough fit, but managable!

I'm a bit surprised none of the pharaohs of the curse of the pharaohs origins dlc was show cased not to mention the twin elephants battle. Medusa was easy if you were patient deimos was way harder.
Mine of course was Medusa. But also the fight with Washington in the dlc for Assassins Creed 3.(they were both a pain in the ass)
Hekatonchires in AC odyssey, last boss in Judgment of Atlantis DLC he was so hard for me, wide range of attacks, poison, hard to read, ton of health, other goons attacking you...

By the time I got to Hekatonchires I was overpowered lvl 90, fight was fairly easy especially with fire arrows.
For me, he just took awhile to defeat. But I made sure to level up enough that I felt comfortable fighting him

Just getting into AC. Starting with Valhalla. So far the game is pretty dope but I’m k my a few hrs in.
I started Valhalla as first AC game 8 months ago, too haha. I also find it dope, but compared to other ACs it’s shit for most of the players. But it is still my favourite.

The truly frightening experience for me was that legendary wolf in hunting quest. It was so swift and attacked in packs, I tried to beat him like 6 times unsuccessfully!
All others here are like in the first try...
I remember making a full crit build in Odyssey and almost one shot each of the bosses😂
I found loki, arges, basim, minotaur, builder, fenrir and Medusa a simple task I haven't found baler yet tho
I think the minotaur needed a little more love here. That thing made me put the controller down for a week. No other AC boss has frustrated me that much. That thing is fast, and goes nuts once it's pissed 🤣🤣🤣

In AC Valhalla, I was always dying in the Loki Boss Fight, because it caught me off guard many times when he was teleporting and attacking from behind, but I finally got him, I was level 190, it took me 6 tries to defeat him.
Not a bad list, but my favourite boss from the AC series was probably Nidhogg, the giant poisonous dragon in Niflheim of Valhalla. I especially like that you cannot fight him with overpowered stats because he in a side section of the game that doesn't let you use your built up skills. A real challenge that I enjoyed.

That dragon was the most difficult and challenging boss fight in all AC for me.and if you want to platinum the game, you have to fight and win with one of the armour that doesn't heal you while damaging your enemies, making the fight so much harder. I mean, this whole DLC is one gigantic challenge in patience and determination, because you die and die and die again, until you finally get to Nidhogg and that's where the real challenge starts.

I found the kaladonian boar and the minotaur in odyssey pretty easy to bring down not even getting hit by them, and lucius septimus was also considerably easy in origin... the nemean lion on the other hand took me multiple tries as he kept homing in on dodges rendering dodging at times useless....
The bosses in unity were only tough because the combat in unity was absolutely atrocious making the fights difficult....
In origin the toughest fights were the mercs though this is because I often enjoyed facing them when they were in skull mode
Funny thing is I found the boar difficult even though I was a higher level and found the lion easy enough though I was 6 levels lower than it

I like how a lot of these are either odyssey or Valhalla I played both and beat both those bosses mentioned are definitely the hardest in the game and hit the nail on the head with Medusa being number one.
The problem with septimius is your playing as Aya
The problem I have with Aya is you can't check her abilities and you have a level cap with the weakest weapons you can find

in odyssey any challenge really depends on ur build. i have build that makes me take almost no damage at all and also heal on hit. i could let most bosses pound on me for 5 minutes without fighting back and still not die.

@@abhishekkumarjha3739 it really depends on ur play style. i have 3 builds, a stealth build using the pilgrim set cause you can use the invisible ability infinitely, a crit build (look for purple gear with as many crit damage/crit chance at full health perks) and an amor/ health build using the greek hero set and as many damage reducing/health increasing perks. if you wanna see good builds i recommend going to Jor Raptor. he has tons of very useful informational vids about all kinda of open world games. best weapons, armour, perks, etc

I defeated Medusa 2 levels above me by just being patient and using the legendary bow of Hades and a lot of wood for crafting arrows and also used the -1 adrenaline engrave from the minotaur axe was quite useful and also the legendary dagger that has poison damage was quite effective

The only why I killed Medusa is getting a legendary poison dagger converts regular damage to poison damage and hit and run tactics, I did the same thing for the Minotaur

Medusa isn't that hard ngl her fight is fun especially with the stone mechanic but one boss that should have been on here was the final boss of the Atlantis dlc in odyssey he had the chunkiest health bar out of all the bosses I fought in the games and he is also summoning guys as well it can get a little wild actually surprised he isn't here but tbh this whole list is interchangeable but I also haven't fought some like balor who gives me a dark souls boss vibe
Ive only played a few AC. Ive spent 2-300 hours on Odyssey getting back into AC. I think i first tried Medusa and the Minotaur. I had more trouble with the Erymanthian Boar(2:32), i think i wiped 4-5 times. I was using a Fire/Animal damage build against it. Dagger/Sword/Bow of Hades.

Odyssey only the boars were the hardest ones. Medusa was easy to take it down.
Black Flag, 1 of the Legendary Ships were hard only, i died multiple times. It is Twin Legendary Ships. Fighting with 2 at same time was the hardest one in Black Flag.

In ACO I killed the boar while riding my horse using a spear with animal buffs. Attack and run over and over.
You know why you thought the Caledonian boar was so hard? You are using a heavy bladed. Use something to match the agility of the boar

heya, I must say you forgot to mention the storm fortress from AC Rogue, a legendary epic battle with ships that is for sure the hardest moment Ive encountered in the game even with all the upgrades I could get.
i fought medusa for about 25 times! died each time frustrated so i went back to the saved games levelled up (more than her) upgraded gear n weapons, got all raw materials for the arrows n then fought her!!! It was definitely hard and will keep you on edge but its simply wow!

Goodwin is easy to beat in ac valhalla all you need to is dodge one of his attacks for time to slow then overwhelm him with quick attacks. I recommend using 2 good dangers or a dagger and spear combo that should kill him in seconds

Regarding Septimus I always tumbled until he used the chain swing attack and then engaged with a bow or spear (long ranged). Through that I managed to finish him without getting hit

Missed the days where assassin's Creed was all about parkour and stealth 😔
Hard and nightmare difficulty force you to use as much stealth and parkour as possible.
But of course, the mithological environment changes some things we were used to.
After 18 attempts on the ermantian boar I just cheesed it using all my stamina on devastating shots. So a little advice. Get as much adrenaline as possible and the best bow and level up the devastating shot as much as possible. And then you can use death arrows. And shoot the pig in the face as much as possible.

Most of these bosses are from the RPG trilogy, the bosses in the other games are way easier, Bellec was easy because I was just shooting him and Jack was also easy because it’s mainly hiding, just felt like those were just thrown in there so it would seem the older bosses were hard also and it wouldn’t exclude the past 3 games, and Al Mualim is just a walk in the park
Forgive my memory, but the damn dragon you fight in one of the Valhalla DLC's where if you die, you start over. That dragon took me like 15 attempts and 3 days because I kept rage quitting 😂

Strom Fortress was the hardest naval combat mission in whole assassins creed
The Storm Fortress from Assassins Creed Rouge is way harder then El Impoluto. At least with the Spanish ship you can use explosive barrels to slow it down. The Storm Fortress uses devestating broadsides AND flame mortars you periodically cant dodge. Not only that but once the Storm Fortress reaches a critical health threshold it spawns TWO additional Legendary Ships. That fight was a nightmare.
I bet Medusa on hard difficulty on my first try. I'm not very good at bosses like this, so I was super proud of myself.
It hasn't been mentioned, but I haven't played Valhalla yet, but the boss fight that I've had the most difficulty so far is the final boss of the first dlc of Odeyssey, which was really challenging for me. I reduced the difficulty and level scaling to minimum just for that boss. It was probably the best boss fight in AC history, maybe there are better ones in Valhalla.
I see I’ve missed a lot with this series….I never fought a boss with a damn health bar, so the fact that there’s 20+ all of a sudden 💀
To beat the boar just get a bounty and a mercenary
