After conceding an early goal Blackpool put on a superb performance and came out with a draw from a Gary Madine penalty which was the least the Seasiders deserved from the game.
However, with chances for both teams it could have gone either way in the end. I would have taken a draw before the game and will settle for a point as I feel a draw was fair

Good VLOG, from a Luton fan. I very much respect and like Blackpool (tremendous history), Critchley has done a brilliant job on a shoestring budget. If you look at all the small budget clubs promoted to the Championship over the last three seasons, Blackpool are the only ones who haven't struggled in the first season: Luton, Cov, Peterborough, Wycombe, Rotherham, Barnsley and even Hull to an extent struggled. For that alone, Critchley should've had Manager of the Month at least once. The ref was poor yesterday for both sides, a couple of the yellows for 'Pool players were wrong, two pens not given were wrong, the one that was given was pretty soft (I'm not convinced there was contact but there may have been a mild one) , the disallowed goal was wrong but the free kick just prior was harsh. I. thought the 'Pool fans were fine, good banter. The fouls count make it look like a dirty game, when it wasn't, these are not dirty sides. I was really disappointed a few years ago to see Blackpool get relegated from the Prem, Holloway is a great character and they almost pulled off a miracle to survive against the odds in a swashbuckling style. You overcame the debacle of the Oystons.

Luton have lots of history in the lower divisions probably at least my club stayed in the premier League sky blue army that history
And it is good to see you back in your stadium I think the future is bright now for Coventry. First time I've been to Kenilworth Road and Luton other than the airport was surprised to find it so nice after everyone told me it wouldn't be

I still love it! Blackpool will stay in Championship and hope Blackpool could finished higher next season. But obviously, again, all great things to Blackpool fans, always cheering up! (love from Indonesia)
Hope we do better next season all depends on which players stay or leave and how we recruit through the summer. Fingers crossed

Great video, loved pre match piece. I been Luton with Blackpool mate Roy for Tangerines, an other times see Millwall. Our Frank (Dutch Wall/Feyenoord fan appreciate this with Utrecht fan). I'm familiar Eredivisie now. Good draw Blackpool. Real solid season. Luton tough as good season. Love your videos & pleased you doing next season too👍. Luton fan, good video. Good club Blackpool. My second ever Luton game way back in 76! We won 3-0 that day, not quite the same result this time! Thought you played well, literally have ridiculous injury list which has hampered our creativity massively, hence you see a workmanlike team without much flair at the moment. But we have ground out results through sheer spirit and a good cutting edge. I think you guys played like a team with no pressure, which showed. Most opposing fans (and managers) say they were better than us, but hey, we must be doing something right! Good luck for next year.
Yes you do seem to be having no luck with injuries I hope the two players are not bad it looked like hamstrings (hope not) and yes you were way better than us at Bloomfield Road as I said at the start of the video but not so much yesterday even though you could have won it at the death

Hi Lee and Jane, you will probably recall me saying earlier in the season that I have a particular fondness for luton but I must say I am impressed with the enthusiasm of not only your team but also your supporters, I was hoping sky TV new Zealand was going to show this game live but unfortunately I had to watch bournmouth vs fulham game

Blackpool fans are quite something aren't they, nothing to play for, long journey and still they give it everything and travel in numbers, I'm always very proud to he a seasider

We played Luton in the cup 20 years ago on a Friday night and you could pay in.. 25,000 United fans turned up absolute carnage... Only 5,000 got in..

Me thinks you're being somewhat diplomatic towards our ground :-) We will miss it when we move. Thought Blackpool would be a tricky game TBH, although that last minute goal was perfectly good. Always like your Videos, you and Jane are nice people.
Yes you will definitely miss it but you really do need something more modern now, something more comfortable with more capacity to grow the fanbase etc. But honestly there was something rather special and nostalgic about stepping back in time when we got there it really was quite surprising. It was kind of so bad that it was actually good if that makes sense? Best of luck in the play-offs there is a part of me that would enjoy the struggle that Sky would have logistically and for the over paid prima donas in the Premier League it would be a rude awakening 😂🤣

We know we wouldn't last in the Premier league, but it's all about the statement to the football authorities for Luton fans. 13 years ago the - 30 points dumped us into non league, so it's all about us saying "hey remember us?" to the FA and FL.
Root for us in the playoffs IF we make it.

Yes exactly I had to show you I simply couldn't believe it. It was so unbelievable that it is remarkable it must have been unique even back in the day? QPR you enter down an alley between houses but this was next level and I don't know why? but I loved it😂

We should have won but to be fair so could they. I was okay with the draw and I'm really happy with the way this video flows took me over 8 hours after the drive back so its a crazy labour of love (I often question my sanity at 5am!😂🤣)

Good point for blackpool yesterday I think both teams were robbed of a penalty so not a bad point overall hope you both enjoyed your trip to Luton and good away following when you think Barnsley only took 600 to Huddersfield on Friday night where we took 2.200 to Huddersfield so well done blackpool away fans yesterday #utmp

It was a good 1 - 1 draw yesterday for Blackpool against luton away and I think Blackpool will get back to winning ways against Derby at home next weekend lee and Jane

Remember going to Kenilworth Road with my team many years ago . A very quaint ground to go to . Never seen my team lose there ( thankfully ) . As for the game . I thought the ref was poor & made several poor decisions . Thought their goal was a foul to be honest . A good point for Blackpool in the end . On another day , they could have won it .
Yes we thought the Lino flagged for a foul and the flag was up before the cross came in keeper will have seen it up. Blackpool for me were the better team on the day but Luton had some great chances so we were happy with a point and at the end of the day win lose or draw it didn't matter to us I was glad to see we took the game seriously
Yes we felt we were the better team but Luton had the better chances and we thought it was a foul too. Although Luton fans will disagree and are saying it was a fair challenge. It was flagged early and we all saw the flag go up so the players will have seen that too so, it's all moot
Well played Blackpool, you could've taken the day off but we didn't expect you to and you looked lively throughout. Just to clarify, to quote Quest last night, Luton's goal at the end was the clearest officiating blunder of the day. Just saying.
Yes it was the cherry on the icing of a very big cake of endless bad refereeing and officiating decisions for both sides IMHO it was quite something we were scratching our heads both ways. We have been punished so many times this season if we got away with one we will take it. Best of luck in the play-offs I hope the injuries are not bad hamstrings as that will be such a shame for the play-offs best of luck for the season
It was a push so therefore a foul , penalty each missed by ref . Luton are the only team to outplay us at bloomers although weather ruined it
@@LeeCharlesTV good to see the Luton Premier Inn is still delivering. I stayed there just before Covid for the Luton Town Christmas party but balanced it with a night at Luton Hoo (which also does a very nice breakfast but not in the same price range). I think the injuries may make it a bridge too far for us now, but getting to Wembley would be great. If you do return to Kenilworth Road (bearing in mind that a new ground is on the cards) ask for a look at the dressing rooms, it's like another world (and very much in keeping with what you reported from "Coronation Street"). In fact, should the gilded stars of the PL be entertained there next season, I can imagine a few of them saying "I've got my room, where are the rest of you getting changed?"
I thought it was a foul and I think it all came about after a free kick for Luton? which didn't seem like one to me I will have to watch it back on Tangerine TV later

Well he just signed a 4 and a half year extension to his contract so it better be an amazing offer. He has a vision for what he wants to achieve here first so I'm not sure you'll get him plus I'm not sure he is the finished article yet. I think another couple of seasons if he keeps improving we won't have a hope in heck of holding on to him

Very lucky for the one point I watched this game Blackpool was robbed no doubt a penalty for the pool var should be allowed next year we hope
Rory, if there had been VAR, your pen would've been overruled, the foul on Snodgrass would've been given and the Luton disallowed goal would've been overruled but, in.fairness, it was a foul by Naismith in the box that also would've been given, Blackpool got a couple of undeserved yellows and the free kick just prior to the disallowed goal was harsh. You were the better side although I think we had more clearcut goal scoring chances. Blackpool are not easy opposition and I thought it was disrespectful of the media to assume we would win, Blackpool should've beaten QPR twice but for some bad officiating and they have really pushed several of the top sides. With eight Luton players injured, that made our task even harder. Despite my emotion over the disallowed goal, I think a draw was a fair reflection. Something really must be done about the refereeing standards.

I wouldn't have thought there was any problem with Luton and Stoke RS? would there be a specific reason other than the ground, the people were friendly, the stewards are our favourite of the season so far and there has been some great banter with them at most grounds (other than West Brom who were the most miserable on a par with Morecambe for the worst welcoming)
