In episode 95 of Whisky in SV, Joe and I did a blind taste of the new Elijah Craig Toasted Rye with the older regular rye release. The toasted expression is priced at more than double the regular expression and is somewhat allocated. We were expecting to get more complexity from the extra toasting, but we both clearly preferred that complexity and notes on the regular release.
