I picked up a bottle of LL/MF. Haven’t come across an ME. Haven’t opened the MF bottle yet. I have another bottle of Russell’s 10 that has no code at all. I keep thinking I must have just missed it, but there is no code that I can see unless somehow it’s under the lower label. 🤷‍♂️

I found some Frey Ranch single grain series 100% wheat whiskey( 375 ml ) for under 50. I want to make sure it’s the same kind you mentioned. They also have Quad malt 6 years , please let me know. Thank you.

I think that you did a good job with the tasting. I love the lost recipe "mocha" . Bought 2 bottles. $60 each at Costco. Wish I could fine more.

I think you need to add water to the GM. Your conclusion might be different. Most of us aren’t going to like that best neat.

I would recommend washing sample bottles before using them. The ones i’ve received from Amazon usually have some residue in them. I put them through a dishwasher cycle.

It literally tastes like garden hose water. That bottle sucks.

Picked up 2 LL/ME 20s at my local Walmart last week. It's darker and has more depth than the other RR10. Whether it's got RR15 in it or not, well I have no idea....it's good though. I am off the hunt with the two bottle pickup...too many other good bourbons to spend money on.

Hey Sam, thanks for sharing this. I did a similar blind tasting (different barrels, regular blantons, no Elmer t Lee) and ended putting Hancock reserve at #1. My total wine has the HR at 62$!

Haven't had the 18yr but the 12yr is super solid and the price is right on point.

Interesting, i have had some very nice regular bottles and picks of JDSBBP. I was stoked to get a bottle of 2024 CH at a reasonable price and excited to get a sample of a 2024 bottle before i opened my bottle. I sxs the sample with my favorite open bottle of JDSBBP. Honestly the coy hill was better, but not leaps and bounds better, and for what some of the bottles are going for, i won't seek out another unkess it was close to retail. Can you see the barrel house off your pick? I've seen barrel houses which should be coy hill, and may give similar profile.

I picked up a bottle last week but I haven't opened it, I'm kinda shocked you say it's worth 120, maybe that says more about the state of the bourbon market in 2024.

I found a bottle of LL/ME17 at a local LS and was excited to get it but I found it too bitter and astringent on the finish for my taste. I traded samples with someone who had a LL/ME20 and found it just as good on the nose and palate entry and way nicer on the finish. YMMV.
