  • FNIRSI has brought out this DMT-99 multimeter that has most of the basic features that you would expect to find in a multimeter. It also has several advanced features typically found in much more expensive units.
    Part 1 covers the basic features.

    USB port is for charging only?
    Is posible todo data logging ?

    The non contact sensor works, you just need to get close to a socket and it will beep only in the live side of the socket.

    continuity testing will always be slow on "auto" mode on any multimeter :|

      Thanks for your feedback. I really wonder about the utility of auto mode. Only a small subset of properties can be measured and the response time is mostly poor. I feel that someone using a multimeter should know what they are trying to measure and the benefit of a quicker readout should outweigh not needing to preselect the mode. That said I have been surprised by the occasional good performance of auto on one or two multimeters.
