This is true, robots are needed in Japan to counter labor shortages. I also very much approve of this as Japan is not a nation for everyone to go to and visit. Even people from Singapore, Dubai, Western Europe and North America who are quite wealthy and capable are like mentally disabled in comparison with the Japanese. The Japanese posses certain qualities that other peoples lack and there's a certain reason reason behind that too. As the Chinese put it, it is a result from centuries of seafood consumption, the Japanese like to see themselves as enhanced by "seaweed" in comparison to others. This is also why there's that joke about Japan in China that everyone smells like fish.
